Thanks for the encouragement. I hadn’t done much paint touch-up for awhile, I hope this gets the ball rolling forward again. Even if there are time lags on this thread, it’s still (hopefully) going to be a place you can search by machine full name to look for paint colors/mixes.

    Gottlieb Flying Chariots

I used Michaels acrylic craft paint

-Cabinet blue mix: 11 parts Navy satin, 5 parts Dark Blue satin
-Cabinet red mix: 6 parts Orange Spice matte, 5 parts Red satin
-Cabinet cream mix: 5 parts Ivory matte, 3 parts Suede matte (same as playfield cream mix)

    1976 Gottlieb Royal Flush

I used Michaels acrylic craft paint, with one noted exception and a photo of that paint bottle below:

-Playfield green mix: 6 parts Grass Green satin, 4 parts Green Teal satin, 2 parts Blue premium satin
-Playfield purple mix: 5 parts Pink Blast satin, 8 parts Red satin, 7 parts Pink matte, 2 parts Holiday Green satin
-Playfield red mix: 4 parts Red premium satin, 1 part Yellow premium satin, 2 parts Bright Red matte
-Playfield yellow mix: 12 parts Dandelion premium satin, 3 parts Orange Sherbet satin (*Americana Multi-Surface Satin by DecoArt, not sure where I got it, bottle shown in photo below), 1 part Holiday Green satin, 1 part Bright Red matte
-Playfield cream mix: 6 parts Ivory matte, 5 parts Suede matte, 4 parts Corn Silk premium satin, 2 parts Mustard Yellow matte
-Drop Target red mix: 3 parts Burnt Orange satin, 3 parts Holiday Red satin, 2 parts Brick Red matte

Before and after photos (this playfield was chewed up (I assume by a very rusty ball) and scraped):

    Gottlieb fast draw

To get the playfield in as new condition, I used the following .
Createx opaque colors , that you can use either with a paintbrush or with an airbrush.

For the red ... is one part 5210 opaque red + one part 5204 opaque yellow

For the light blue is 5207 opaque sky blue

For the dark blue is 4 parts 5201 opaque blue + 3 parts 5212 opaque white

For the yellow is 5204 yellow

White is 5212 white and black is ... black

Thank you, @phototamer , both for the info and for including the full name of the pin for searchability.

The more pins and paint colors/mixes that get added, the more useful this thread can become for the Pinside community!

I wish this thread was available 2 years ago . It took a lot of experimentation to get the colors right. Let’s hope that this thread will go larger .

Maybe those who are posting colors could # the game so it comes up like this: Freedom

I’ve asked that each paint color post include the manufacturer and full name of the pin to make it searchable by name. Hopefully that will allow searchers to find their pin if it’s here (and avoid another pin with the same name by another manufacturer).
