Quoted from ReadyPO:Yes but spelled Circus Trix as in Tricks
That was a typo... corrected...
Quoted from Staffan:I must admit I looked at your marvelous collection
I had a feeling there could be another clue there... I will have to be more sneaky in the future
Quoted from Staffan:Hi Jack!, Bally, Never Produced
Probably a bit naughty using a game that was never produced, but since I found it when I was searching for 'hi' to find Hi-Dolly, it seemed that there would be a reasonable clue there
Was that how you found it?
Quoted from Staffan:It was actually that little pink gun in the upper right corner, that gave me some themes to search for.
I see... and what themes did you search for after seeing that gun?
Quoted from Staffan:I guess you found the theme
Well, I tried 'cops and robbers' before, but skipped over this game because I thought the image you posted was older, then I went back and was more thorough...
Bally: On Beam. 1969.
https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=1715
Quoted from pinwiztom:but think is could also be a Spanish or Italian knockoff of the same theme.
In that last link the guy definitely has a facial expression closer to what mine would be like if I were in his shoes!
Clues are available upon request... although there was a reasonable clue in the text that accompanied the pic...
Outer?
You can skip past the 90% of games you know... I stumbled upon in when searching for On Beam... funnily enough I have seen this very game in person at the owners gameroom... he has a massive collection of obscure games! He even gave me a very special bottle of virgin olive oil as a way of thanking me for visiting him!! Could be another clue there
Come on guys, I thought this would be got within about 10 seconds... it's a very popular game, and rightly so!
Quoted from Staffan:That's got to be White Water
Yeeesssss!! Welcome to Wet Willy's!
Globe Trotter Gottlieb 1951.
https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=1017
In the first image I thought the noses of the planes were dogs heads, so I was looking for hunting or dog racing themes!!
Quoted from pinwiztom:I saw dog or animal heads too.
I thought the one on the left could be a badger... so I also looked for 'wildlife', but surprisingly there's only one pinball on the IPDB that has the theme 'wildlife'...
Even Gottlieb's Wild Life doesn't have the theme Wildlife... for some reason, that game has no theme at all!
Quoted from ReadyPO:I didn't know if that meant something you owned
It means something I submitted to the IPDB because I photographed it... I only own the backglass, so this won't be listed in any of the games I own or owned... not sure if you can do a search by the submitter of images...
Better clue is that there is no change... I.e. no change in theme...
I realise the previous image lists 5 themes on the IPDB... 2 of those 5 themes are also stated themes for this image...
Quoted from ReadyPO:I see you updated your post
Yes, I was updating it as you were replying
Quoted from ReadyPO:Golf, Faer, 1964 yes, not on IPDB
How did you find it? Was the space lady clue helpful?
Quoted from ReadyPO:Very interesting web site for the Spanish pins.
Yes, it's my 'go to' place for knowing what Spanish pins are out there, helped me know what I was interested in tracking down... got a bit obsessed with Spanish pins a few years back, ended up hauling 2 van-loads back... a few if them were because of images I saw on that site.
Quoted from poppapin:Crocket Italian game
I bet anyone playing thought the girl in the first pic was playing golf
The playfield on that game is very weird!! Can't quite figure out how that section at the top works!!
Pinbot.
Or should I say Pin.Bot...
https://www.ipdb.org/search.pl?name=Pinbot&sortby=name&searchtype=advanced#1796
Or maybe this Unidesa version...
https://www.ipdb.org/search.pl?name=Pinbot&sortby=name&searchtype=advanced#4130
Quoted from Staffan:Zaccaria Robots?
There's only one of them... but Robots is good enough for me
If only the IPDB came up with more games than 'Top Secret' when searching for Robot themed games, I'd feel there was more to get my teeth into... I know it's not Top Secret, and I tried Egg Head, and even Transformers... can't think of any other games with Robots in them... my mind is all a-blank...
Also searched the artwork on BOP and Jackbot...
Quoted from Staffan:Maybe they are not robots but there armor sure make them look like if they were...
That made me think of knights in shining armour, but searching through the 'knights' themed games has drawn a blank... also checked Metal Man, and the other MM... just in case... I'm personally stuck on this one... but maybe other players are just on the brink of figuring it out...
Quoted from Staffan:You need to take MM and go back to PIN-BOT
I know I shouldn't ask, but you mean go back chronologically or alphabetically?
Quoted from easye9901:Its Big Guns
Damn, I was even looking at Big Guns at one point and looked right past it!
Just been through every pin listed as being a 'licensed theme' pin that is relating to a movie on the IPDB and have drawn a blank... This is a real puzzler for me...
Quoted from pinwiztom:and I bet you even checked Apollo 13,
You're right!! I went back to look and I see that Apollo 13 is coloured purple showing that I'd looked at it... Sega was the first batch of games I checked, regardless if theme... no idea how I missed it! I must be blind!
The only Segas I'd not checked with a production run of over 1 were South Park and Baywatch on the basis I was 100% sure it wasn't them.
Quoted from pinwiztom:I think it is GTB Genesis
I thought I recognised that chest, now I know where from
Quoted from pinwiztom:A bit more than than just cleavage
The more I see, the less familiar it gets...
Quoted from ReadyPO:Those I recognize.
How could I not recognise those... probably the most famous breasts in pinball!!
Creature ftbl!, rotated 90deg...
https://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=588&picno=5250
I knew I recognised them...
Quoted from Staffan:Without looking at your collection I would have never got this
I was going to give that as a clue if no-one found it... I need to put some images to the IPDB!
Quoted from pinwiztom:Sonic Space Queen
That's a cool looking game!! Another for the wishlist!!
I seem to have broke the IPDB, my searches are missing games! I think a clue is needed on this one...
Data East King Kong?
IPDB has stopped working for me, but I see it on the Pinside images... so I can see it's correct
Quoted from I_P_D_B:now I know why recently did someone submit changes to add "Robots" to our Theme category for "Egghead" and "Robot"
Quoted from I_P_D_B:Don't be afraid to contribute to the IPDB when you have ideas like this. That how the site improves. Thanks!
Hi Jay, that was me
Quoted from ReadyPO:Just like the last pin - this one has a girl's name.
Comodin us a girl's name? Anyhow, I suspect another clue is in order... which side of the pond was this girl born?
Recel Twin Gain:
https://www.ipdb.org/search.pl?gtype=EM&mfgid=262&sortby=name&searchtype=advanced#2686
Recognised the Euro Flip mark with is part of the Recel logo... which you kindly left in as a clue of course...
Quoted from Staffan:Mr. Evil, Recel, 1979
Correct, the wrong answer being Mr Doom... Evil being 'clearly visible' on the dude's forehead...
Gottlieb Ten Up...
Or Gottlieb King Pin...
Or Pin Up...
Based on the colour of the womans skirt... Ten Up is my final answer
Quoted from Staffan:The Big Lebowski, Dutch Pinball, 2016
My 'sore point' machine!!
Quoted from Staffan:Nope, no bowling in this game.
Actually I was thinking of John Goodman... but yes, there's also the bowling connection
It's probably not Twister either (Philip Seymour Hoffman) or Tron (Jeff Bridges)
Wrath of Olympus...
Riot Pinball...
Not sure of the link to TBL, maybe because both games are the only game made by a single manufacturer...
That kind of looks familiar, but I can't quite place it... I'm thinking Italian...
It's a pity you can't search the IPDB based on country of manufacture... or is that actually possible and I'm missing it?
Hi Lorenz, good to see you here! I'm not familiar with Portuguese manufacturers, so I waded through the entire list of manufacturers on the IPDB and found only Irmacor, with no images matching what you put up... I got this though, no more clues yet
Quoted from Avi8er:Feitiço, conversion of Playmatic's 1978 'Chance'.
Well done, so how did you figure this out? The IPDB lists the game but has no images of it, and even though Portugal is right next door to Spain, this manufacturer isn't on the Spanish Database... Google?
I found it, on catawiki.com... closed auction, reserve not met.
Quoted from LorenZ:PINBALL MAGIC ?
I thought you were joking, but you're right! And I had that game set up in my house for around a year and never noticed this bird!!
So, Mr Lorenz, it's your go I believe, unless Mr Avi8er wants to confirm that it's not actually Pinball Magic but something similar from another game...
Quoted from Staffan:That is correct
I was actually joking, just going of your clue and messing around... had no idea there was a game called Haunted Hotel, but I see there actually is!!
Classics_Master seems to have dropped the ball... is there a rule where if someone else fails to post a new image within a certain period of time it's an open floor where anyone can post a new image? If so, what is that time? If not, I propose there is one with a time of 24hrs...
Isn't that the Big Dick lady?
Yes it is... somebody needs to clean the backglass, there's something on her chin...
Quoted from chad:It also shows popular Italian singer Loredana Bertè from a 1979 album cover.
Plus some artwork on the left of the backglass to tie in with to the previous game...
Williams Thunderball?
Not heard of that one before... 10 made, so not a total obscurity...
I think it means it's your go again chad, since you revealed the game...
Quoted from chad:You guessed correct! I just put a part of the playfield up.
Well, with the words Williams and Thunderball visible... I think that counts as a reveal
That'd be Williams Still Crazy me thinks...
https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=3730
Another game I never knew existed!
Quoted from Staffan:Skylab, WMS, 1974
https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=2202EDIT: I see now it's Spacelab with the platic from Skylab...
Actually, I'm not sure I see any difference between the two from the image I posted, so both are correct... unless you know something I don't...
Edit: pop bumper caps maybe... and/or playfield colour...
Quoted from Staffan:Immediately recognized it as Close Encounters of the Third Kind,
The Flippermatic space ship artwork is much more detailed though I notice...
Quoted from chad:Never seen or heard of this one.
Same here
Next:
Screenshot_20210821-215748_Samsung Internet (resized).jpgQuoted from Staffan:I actually thought this one might be too easy for you... but I had to post it since I thought the artwork was top notch.
Don't tell me it's a game I've already got! it does have a Spanish twang to it with those white plastics... I'm on it!
At first I thought those buildings were 3D!
It also looks like it's got a plastic playfield, another Spanish speciality, but I've drawn a blank everywhere I've looked so far...
It has all the hall-marks of an Inder game, but I can't find it.
Super star recreativos Franco
https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=5158
Finally! I didn't realise the artwork was so detailed up above the pops!!
Next: a distinct step down in artwork, but a link to the previous game...
Screenshot_20210822-085930_Samsung Internet (resized).jpg
Quoted from pinwiztom:They made only 4 games, this one being the only that was not a conversion kit.
No more clues, we got this
That'll be UFO-X or KZ-26... take your pick...
Sky Warrior
https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=3905
I know it because I have the flyer, that's where I remember it from... just came to me
And I now see the link to Tiger Woman, apart from the red haired chick...
Looks like MAC Jungle at first glance...
Confirmed:
https://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=3187&picno=6717
Having the game does help
Thats Nautilus... Playmatic...
Another game I have, therefore easy peasy for me
At a guess, I probably put that image on the IPDB...
Quoted from ReadyPO:Furie, Hy C Enterprises, 1981
Never seen that one before!!
Too easy... Mephisto...
https://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=4077&picno=46229
(My photo)
Recognised it immediately, took a while to reply due to driving... having the game makes it easy...
Quoted from pinwiztom:only reason I got that last one was cause i found it in your owned in past collection
Strange that it's in my 'owned in past' list, I still have it... and never sold one... in fact I think I have 3 of those! All with bad playfields!!
When I get one of them on its feet I'll take more pics for the IPDB.
Quoted from LorenZ:Slalom code 0.3 (Unidesa) 1988
You were pipped at the post Lorenz...
Hi ball... technoplay...
https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=3709
Which is pretty much Zaccaria anyway...
Quoted from Staffan:Valkyrie, Jeutel, 1982
How the heck did you get that one?
Quoted from pinwiztom:I would say GTB Fire Queen, but seems too obvious.
Also looks like this clue pin has digital score display.
Also, this game seems to have mirror for the 'lightening' from her hand where the Gottlieb game doesn't... different colours in the artwork too by the look of it...
Also her mouth is different... the Gottlieb game has her smiling with dimples in her cheeks, this lady seems more sultry... forlorn maybe... I like her more
Quoted from Staffan:Didn't realize it looks like Fire Queen, IPDB says it's a copy of another GTB game.
IPDB says it's a copy of Vulcan, which is the 4 player version of Fire Queen... should have made the link therefore and searched for 'Vulcan'... well done ReadyPO!
Playmatic Zira
https://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=3584&picno=46320
It's too easy when you put pics up of games I have
Quoted from Staffan:Orbitor 1, Stern, 1982?
Correct, the plunger position is the key... you got it! Mine seems to be painted over! Well spotted!!
Viper... easy!
https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=2739
Pretty much the same cab as Orbitor 1, except the plunger position...
Quoted from Staffan:Ok, no more Sterns
I already had Iron Maiden ready as the answer!
Next one looks like Mata Hari, but it isn't...
Wrong colour hair and facing the other way...
Quoted from Staffan:First game with TV monitor??
Harem Cat was before Vector
Quoted from ReadyPO:So close not interfaith...inter?
That was autocorrect playing tricks on me...
Or maybe it's Recreativos Franco Dragoon...
No, I stick with Dragon:
That's more than cool, that's far out man!!
https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=823
Or maybe it's just out of sight!
Quoted from Staffan:It's another Gottlieb...
I've a feeling you might have to give another clue... I see what looks like a guitar head, and searched for Gottliebs whith a music theme, but have drawn a blank... maybe others are on the case though...
Quoted from LorenZ:Al garage 'Alvin g
I didn't realise Alvin G. was Gottlieb... so that's what the 'G' is for...
Quoted from pinwiztom:From a BG
Looks like a bit of zooming out may be needed on this one...
MAM, Apolo 2001
https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=5756
Your image doesn't have the flipper from the playfield behind the backglass though, as it does on the IPDB, so I'm wondering where your image is from...
IPDB says the backglass is an adaptation of Williams Apollo, but that image isn't in the Williams glass...
It looks like you got the image from the Spanish website... eh...
Quoted from ReadyPO:On the IPDB BG, it is photographed sitting on top of the PF. That flipper is from the playfield, not part of the BG. Found a "clean" pic from that Spanish Museum site...
So you're confirming my diagnosis is correct then
I wonder what goes on in that small circular window when you play that game...
Williams Jumping Jacks...
The backglass for this appeared about 10 pages back, which is where I remember seeing those folks in their fine looking bunny suits!
Realised I was wrong, it's Jumpin' Jack's... strange use of an apostrophe in Jack's... it's like the sentence isn't finished... Jumpin' Jask's what? Jumpin' Jack's bunny outfit I suppose...
Quoted from pinwiztom:may be a while hefore he (she) posts next clue again.
Personally that's not a bad thing, this can get distracting at times
Gottlieb Top Hand:
https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=2582
More specifically:
https://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=2582&picno=14475
Zoomed in on top left corner...
Quoted from ReadyPO:I recognized her immediately, always thought what she is wearing looks out of place on that BG.
True, from the future... hot though
Quoted from ReadyPO:but worth doing again
Yes, I'd be happy to do her multiple times!
Fire Cracker I believe...
Confirmed:
https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=6671
I have the backglass, so recognised it immediately... I always found that particular lady unattractive... unlike the Hearts Gain chick!
Quoted from pinwiztom:Her neck is too long
That's just one thing... her hair is ridiculous! I've no idea what I'm gonna do with the glass, I don't want it on the wall! Needless to say, I was given it somewhere along the way.
Knee jerk reaction is Lady Robin Hood...
But it's wrong...
Actually she's more like a female version of Peter Pan...
Ha, it's actually Peter Pan...
https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=1776
Didn't realise the artwork shows a female Peter!! I'm all for LGBT
Lazy Q bears a slight resemblance to Q*Bert's Quest playfield layout, and has the Q in it, and the next image has Q*Bert's Quest flipper orientation... Q-rious!
Quoted from ReadyPO:Yep, near as I can tell, Harry Williams last full pinball design.
Yes, was just reading that on the IPDB... doesn't look like a very inspiring game, certainly different! Never heard of it before!
Quoted from pinwiztom:ZAC Strike
Interesting that the plastic has 11 pins on it... and that they're backwards... I'm guessing the artist was not a golfer.
Quoted from pinwiztom:One pin is much smaller than the others, looks like a duckpin.
If it's the one I think you mean, I took it as being knocked over more that the others... not a golfer is the preferred nomenclature
