Quoted from ReadyPO:[quoted image]
Would love to find me a set of those blue plastics!
Quoted from pinwiztom:Good One
But had that feeling
almost immediately
that it was BLY Harvest/HayRide
https://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=1128&picno=52539
Yup! "Hay-Ride".
Quoted from pinwiztom:WMS C.O.D.
https://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=623&picno=61917
Fairly easy, but still a wild guess
but right guess.
Knew it was not Parker,
likely Molentin (WMS)
Theme appears to be dept store related
and only pin that I knew of
off the top of my HEAD
was COD
Very good!
Quoted from ReadyPO:World Star, Dama, 1970
https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=4405
[quoted image]
That's a new one on me. Looks like some kind of custom game.
Says it's a conversion of Williams "Magic Town", but the lower playfield is different. No lower bumper. Has a Williams card tray, and a Gottlieb lower cabinet ("Hi-Lo"?). Strange bird!
Quoted from ReadyPO:Next
Should be easier
[quoted image]
Gottlieb "Far Out"/" Out of Sight"
Quoted from pinwiztom:This one had me stumped for a while, going down the rabbit hole that it was a european EM from the 70s, maybe Zaccaria.
But then looked a little closer at the queen's face and remembered, hey that looks like some early Bally artwork by some unknown artist from mid 60s.
sure enough
Bally 2 in 1
https://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=2698&picno=2564
You're good, Tom!
Quoted from pinwiztom:Same gal ?
different profile
different game,
similar outfit
[quoted image]
Keeney "Hi-Straight".
Quoted from pinwiztom:GTB Royal Flush
https://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=2034&picno=25728
Where did you get a clear sharp large photo of BG?
I have the game.
My friend owned a "Hi-Straight" once, so I recognized it immediately.
Quoted from pinwiztom:Easy one
WMS Ten Spot
recognize that checkerboard pattern
https://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=2517&picno=76820
owned 2 of those at one time.
Yeah. I figured that the checkerboard pattern would be a dead giveaway.
Quoted from koji:Wish I could get the quality of the last post. But it's related in at least one way..
[quoted image]
1965 Bally "Aces High".
What's the relationship?
Quoted from jrpinball:[quoted image]
Same game.

[quoted image]
Isn't that a gorgeous game?
Quoted from ReadyPO:Here is some more
[quoted image]
Regret selling mine. Genco "Camel Caravan"!
Quoted from pinwiztom:[quoted image]
Maybe same guy a few years later and richer??
Williams "Big Daddy".
Quoted from pinwiztom:Big Daddy's older brother[quoted image]
Gottlieb "Queen of Diamonds".
Hey, guys. How about instituting this rule. A correct answer is always given a thumbs up by the person providing the hint. This will verify that the answer is correct, and gives the next poster the go-ahead to post the next clue.
Quoted from pinwiztom:[quoted image]
Williams "3 Jokers"
https://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=2540&picno=61150
"Straight Flush" also has the same artwork.
Quoted from pinwiztom:For some reason my gut is saying Sonic/Segasa?!?
But then again could be Early Bally
No.
I didn't think this one would be so difficult. Be sure to pick the right game though. That alone is a bit of a hint.
Quoted from poppapin:Good hint JR
Gottlieb Sky Dive
https://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=2192&picno=48303
Cool story about the code!
Not so fast. Not the correct answer! The trick is in the details.
Quoted from poppapin:IPDB pics have Sky jump, sky dive, and free fall having that number on the plane.
Yes, but the number isn't my original clue.
Quoted from koji:The splatter?
You're getting hot!
Quoted from ReadyPO:Free Fall has the splatter I believe...
You are correct! "Sky Jump" has webbing. From the reasonable images I can find on line, it appears that "Sky Dive" also has webbing.
Quoted from ReadyPO:Ok good - I defer to the poppapin clue as the next clue. Which looks familiar to me but I cant quite place it...
Judging from the amount of boobage shown, it must be a foreign game.
Quoted from poppapin:Larger clue from BG [quoted image]
They're large enough for me!
Quoted from poppapin:Larger clue from BG [quoted image]
1979 Mondialmatic "Lovers".
Quoted from ReadyPO:OK I cheated. I know you post in the stuck ball thread
Disco Fever, Williams, 1978
https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=686
[quoted image]
That's not cheating. It's called "doing research"!
Quoted from ReadyPO:Hint
This may be the only one of these that actually works thanks to our Dutch friends.
And it was fun to play!
"Magic Girl".
Quoted from pinwiztom:[quoted image]
Williams "Highways".
Screenshot_2022-10-30-20-31-09 (resized).pngQuoted from pinballslave:Did you look in Jaytrem's collection to get that one, or did you figure it out another way?
I kinda cheated!
Vic Camp once owned a gorgeous example of "Jolly".
Those old games were sure pretty if nothing else.
https://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=1309&picno=12120
Quoted from ReadyPO:I had actually posted the Italian export "Star Trek" but there is no difference in the BG other than the name, so good job!
I actually have a mint "Star Trek" backglass!
Quoted from pinwiztom:Thinking next one is GTB Dimension
You are correct.
Quoted from ReadyPO:who called their active bumpers Thumper Bumper...
[quoted image]
1950 Williams "Pinky".
According to ipdb, both Williams and Bally used the term "thumper bumper".
I'm going to lay back a while and let others play. I can almost hear the grumbling about us old farts and our old games!
Quoted from ReadyPO:This shouldn't be too hard now that we know about pop bumper names
Two kickers and a gobble hole too!
[quoted image]
I recuse myself since I have the game, and instantly recognized it.
Quoted from ReadyPO:What, don't like Big Ben?
Here is another basement dweller....
[quoted image]
Williams "Darling"/"Jubilee"
Quoted from ReadyPO:Flying Circus, GTB, 1961
https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=902
[quoted image]
Very good!
Quoted from pinwiztom:Answer must be specific[quoted image]
Gottlieb "Card Trix" Italian export version.
Quoted from pinwiztom:GEEZ Louise
that was fast
guessing you have the game
No. I wish I did. The bells were a dead giveaway.
Quoted from pinwiztom:Is that GTB Neptune?
yep
https://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=1662&picno=34048&zoom=1
A "Neptune" with yellow WOW inserts? Odd!
Quoted from pinwiztom:Another European pin
[quoted image]
Very obscure title. "Sea Devil" by Elbos Electronics (never heard of that manufacturer! )
Quoted from jrpinball:Very obscure title. "Sea Devil" by Elbos Electronics (never heard of that manufacturer! )
They only made one other pin; "Genesis". Both look like fun players judging from the layouts.
You are correct. Have you noticed that the people on the backglass more than resemble television personalities of the day? Intentional, I'm sure.
Can anyone name any of them?
Quoted from pinwiztom:The only one i can maybe ID is the guy at the head of the coaster
being one of the Darren's from Bewitched.[quoted image]
Yes, for sure. I see Dick Van Dyke, Dick Clark, Carol Burnett, and Mary Tyler Moore. Some of the others, I can't place.
Quoted from ReadyPO:[quoted image]
Bally "Wiggler" (German version, which does not have "The" in the name).
Quoted from pinwiztom:changing gears again[quoted image]
My first hunch turned out to be correct. Chicago Coin's "Gun Smoke".
Quoted from pinwiztom:[quoted image]
1964 Bally "Hay-Ride"
You knew this would get me back in the game, huh?
Quoted from pinwiztom:Was afraid it might be too obvious for you.
And... I could tell it wasn't "Harvest".
Quoted from pinwiztom:I purposely showed the "S" on the Added Balls indicator on the water well, to make that distinction
Yup. I caught that.
Quoted from Tuukka:[quoted image]
Bally "Hi-Lo Ace". One of my favorite Bally games!
Quoted from ReadyPO:Theme is Adventure in IPDB - Foreign Peoples - not show, gambling, girls or anything else you might actually think was related to the theme. Good job jrpinball
He said it's not a European manufacturer, and it didn't look like anything from the big three either, so I searched Chicago Coin 4 player EMs.
Quoted from ReadyPO:Looks like Riveria - checking...
No, Cannes, Segasa, 1976
https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=428
"Cannes" or "Monaco" are correct!
Quoted from ReadyPO:Williams Black Gold, 1075
https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=306[quoted image]
That was a good one. How did you solve that one?
Quoted from ReadyPO:I saw the top of the oil scaffold and it jolted my memory - I use to think this pin was based on the TV Series Dallas but this came out three years before. Maybe the TV show was based on the Pin!
Chicks with bikinis don't hang out near oil rigs. That was a great stumper. Good job solving it!
Quoted from poppapin:Black Gold, Williams
https://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=306&picno=15495
Again?
Quoted from LeonSpinkx:New City by DAMA!!!!!!! (fixed) : https://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=4401&picno=38145
NEXT:
[quoted image]
Williams "Hot Line"/"Big Strike".
Quoted from pinballslave:Ok, here's a softball, in line with the current trend...[quoted image]
Two softballs!
Quoted from pinballslave:Gut feel was it's an Inder... and it proved to be correct Seven Winner...
https://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=4407&picno=82604&zoom=1
That's a new one on me. Very attractive game, and interesting playfield layout. Has anyone here ever seen or played one?
Quoted from pinballslave:I've got a few Spanish pins, but have never seen one of these myself...
Next: if you're gonna draw dice, why not get it right!
[quoted image]
"7-Up" by Automaticos.
https://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=4433&picno=38551
Quoted from poppapin:Next[quoted image]
Gottlieb "Solitaire" (export version of "Diamond Jack").
Quoted from pinwiztom:First guess was GTB Paradise, but not quite.
Pleasure Isle instead.
Maybe Hawaiian Isle
https://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=1832&picno=66838
Masquarade and Dodge City, being other GTB pins with projection roto units.
Only one correct answer. Which one?
Quoted from pinwiztom:My previous clue only has one totally correct answer also.
1966 Chicago Coin "Hula-Hula" Italian version.
Quoted from pinballslave:If no-one got this I was going to give the clue that you won't find this game be searching for the theme Hawaii, which is how I found the previous clue... funny how a game called Hawaii doesn't gave the theme Hawaii, yet other games do.
Yeah, ipdb has some odd search parameters. I wish there was a way to specify "game name only" when you put in a common search word. Try searching for Williams "Add-a-Ball" for example!
Quoted from pinballslave:to specify game name only you type the name of the game into the box 'machine name'...
I mean if you want photos or information on one particular game, and you type in that game's name, I don't want a list of every game associated with that game, or every game sharing a word in it's title. I would want only that one specific game's information to show up.
Quoted from ReadyPO:She looked older than 15!
Next - from the BG
[quoted image]
Gottlieb "College Queens"
They look like they each did a handful of Quaaludes!
Quoted from koji:Match closely.
[quoted image]
Just did this one recently.
It's Gottlieb "Hawaiian Isle".
Quoted from ReadyPO:Blondie, Genco, 1940
https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=322
Wow. That was quick!
Quoted from poppapin:From BG[quoted image]
1965 Bally "Magic Circle"
https://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=1513&picno=28470
Quoted from ReadyPO:From the BG
[quoted image]
Would have gotten that one without the extra clue. Just wasn't tuned in.
Quoted from pinwiztom:Obviously WMS
https://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=1897&picno=49317
Race the clock
That's one I found on ipdb, but I'd never before heard of this game, nor ever even saw a photo of it. "Surf Riders" is another one.
Quoted from poppapin:Next from playfield[quoted image]
Didn't we just recently do this one too?
Quoted from ReadyPO:Same dress color to hair color...
[quoted image]
Another rerun. Bally "Trio".
Quoted from jrpinball:Oops! It's Keeney's "Birdland"!
I went by the plastics. I wonder if Dennis Dodel's "Birdland" pictured on ipdb has incorrect plastics.
They're the same as "Old Plantation".
Quoted from pinwiztom:The art is attributed to a well known artist,
but I honestly think it may be by someone else
or if not it is certainly not his best work.[quoted image]
Stumper... Looks like "Parker hands" though.
Quoted from Staffan:Tennessee, WMS, 1948
https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=2522[quoted image]
That one was tough. Should have stayed with the US geography theme.
