Newest one might be from Japan, from look of the characters.
    Just guessing.

    Nope, not Japan.
Hurry up with another guess before pinballslave get it

EDIT: I should add, that manufacturer is marked as unknown for this game. There are two possible manufacturers mentioned in the notes, both with names that link them to a country....

    #9503 2 years ago

    Too late... Ferry-Boat...

Unknown manufacturer was a big clue, just scolled down those 'till I saw a title connected with recent games

    https://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=5638&picno=47297

Interesting looking cabinet and nice backglass!

What I find a bit perplexing is that the IPDB says this about the game: "Two other EM games with a million-point shot are Williams' 1957 'Arrow Head' and Gottlieb's 1957 'Royal Flush'.", but this game displays the score in 'miles', the max score being 999miles... I don't see any reference to a million point shot on the backglass or the playfield!

Also, the IPDB state the two possible manufacturers as Billeres Cordoba and Recriativos Cordoba, but the Spanish site doesn't even show the latter manufacturer as even existing, and neither does the IPDB!! They seem to have concocted a manufacturer's name and sited that as a reason they can't confirm the manufacturer as Billeres Cordoba, which it clearly is...

Just noticed that the IPDB doesn't list Billeres Cordoba as a manufacturer either

Also, there are 2 different playfield versions of this game as shown on the Spanish site:

    Quoted from ReadyPO:

24 Heures du Mans, Unknown Mgfr

Strange that the IPDB say the manufacturer might be Bergmann based on the cabinet shape when you can see 'con luz' written on the playfield, which is Spanish for 'when lit'... Bergmann is a German company, so it can't be Bergmann... on the Spanish site this is stated as being Billeres Coldoba again, same as Ferry-Boat, but the IPDB don't mention this... cabinet shapes are the same here too, yet the IPDB state that Ferry-Boat is at least Spanish and don't mention Bergmann at all on that listing...

Interestingly Bergmann made a game called Alarm (which has German text on the playfield) and according to the Spanish site, Billeres Coldoba also made 'Alarm' and both games look identical!! They also have the same cabinet shape as Ferry-Boat and 24 Heures de Mans... Looking at the images closer it looks like both games have German texts on the playfields, so in this case the Spanish site seems in error!

Clearly there's a connection between Bergmann and Billeres Coldoba!

And here's the playfield for this beast... not sure what the strategy would be for this one... keep hitting that 30 point target I guess... you also appear to get 30 points for losing the ball... that post between the flippers seems oddly placed!

Can't see the benefit of the rubbers under the flippers that would stop balls rolling back up what would be the outlane drain path if it had outlanes...

Could this be the most boring playing pinball ever?

Clue: this game has 2 identical playfields housed in one cabinet so you can play at the same time against an opponent... and you don't actually score points...

    #9526 2 years ago

    Made in Pennsylvania.

The company are known for making another popular coin operated game... this is the only pinball they made according to the IPDB.

    #9527 2 years ago

And here are the playfields joined together...

I feel another clue is in order... the theme is the same as recent games and the IPDB don't know the year of manufacture... this will narrow it down considerably

Indeed, I'd like to track down a Tokyo game, and your posting the image of it re-ignighted my enthusiasm for it, so I contacted a guy I know who was one of the designers who informed me that Quetzal closed to project down after making only 2 games!! One has gone to a USA buyer and the other is in Holland... I might actually know the Dutch owner now I think about it because he had a Nemo, which I was lucky enough to play on... I'll write to him next

    #9536 2 years ago
    Quoted from pinballslave:

Indeed, I'd like to track down a Tokyo game,

I played both Tokyo and Nemo at Expo in 2019. Tokyo Drift was very fast with the loop at top, a lot of fun to play. Sad they only made two, I think they could have sold quite a few.

    #9537 2 years ago
    Quoted from ReadyPO:

Sad they only made two, I think they could have sold quite a few

I'm sure they could! I've no idea why they stopped at 2, but the guy I spoke to earlier who was involved with the manufacture of the game (not working for Quetzal) told me that he had a disagreement with them and is no longer in touch with them, so maybe this falling out is connected with the short run, I have no idea... he also mentioned that they are turning their attention to a game called Super Hoop, not sure if that's public info or not...

    #9538 2 years ago
    Quoted from pinballslave:

game called Super Hoop, not sure if that's public info or not...

Yes, they had that at Expo too, Super Canasta
Here is a link to a Pinball News Article...
    https://www.pinballnews.com/site/2019/11/06/super-canasta/

And just as we are talking about it - this new story about Super Hoop just released from This week in Pinball ...

    https://www.thisweekinpinball.com/super-hoop-revealed-deep-dive-in-depth-overview-of-the-machine-features-rules-and-code/

    #9539 2 years ago

So Super Canasta and Super Hoop are basically the same game... it looks like a good game, but I have less than zero interest in the theme... TPD had way more appeal from a theme and art perspective... and it looks like they're set to make several 100 of the Canasta/Hoop games!

    Quoted from pinballslave:

Yes, Canasta is basket in Spanish. I played that too at Expo and TPD was by the best IMO, though Super Canasta was also fun.
