I just bought JP premium cost me as much as my nib STLE bought in 2014. Add a shaker and I’m paying more than what a Stern LE cost six years ago.

I can’t believe the price people are paying for a JJP CE or Stern LE these days and they’re selling out in hours.

$10k by Christmas used to be a running joke.

I know this is a frogs in boiling water type of thing and it has surely accelerated this past year with Covid. But I do recall the time when people used to look at Stern LE for example and judge if you were getting $1700 worth of bang for your buck sometimes you were sometimes not so much. But now it seems like Stern can include very little and sell out instantly. (Before they even are announced for gods sake).

I just was thinking about Spooky and how the CE would be $9400 with shipping (or $10,400 with butter)! and how I bought (example) Tron pro and IM Vault (both) for the price of one Spooky. I know inflation etc. but these prices can not keep going up exponentially.

I was going to buy a MM Royal but was thinking $10K was too much but now that's seemingly nothing when Spooky can sell out at near that price and nobody bats an eye. And people want $13K+ for MM Royal that would have got you two Stern LEs like AcDc and XM or TronLE.

I think the next step will be that Spooky could just offer only the $9400 option take it or not, piss on $7000 option.

    Quoted from the9gman:

with the way things are going, the cost of feeding your family and keeping gas in your car will cost so much that buying a pinball machine will not even be on anyone's radar

That’s not true at all. Gas+food less than $1-2k month. It’s such a small fraction of what most people make it’s not even funny. A typical driver will spend $150-300 a month on gas at $4/ gallon. It’s so being blown out of proportion it’s not even funny.
