"The TPN Team of Media Providers aim to promote the pinball hobby/industry in a respectful, informative, and entertaining manner."

    Quoted from ZMeny:

What do you get when you mix a broken record, a crying baby, and a couple Kaneda tears?....... Delt
Hope you stub your toe today buddy

Zach, that comment comes across as neither respectful nor professional. If you want to be at the forefront of the pinball community, you might want to choose your words more carefully and not be so defensive. I, and a lot of others, have a lot of respect for all of you for what you do, but you don't need to start alienating your potential listeners/viewers before your new endeavor is launched.

I have been #TeamZach since the first SDTM:APS video and will continue to support your efforts. In the words of RuPaul, "Good luck and don't fuck it up."

    Quoted from Jerickso77:

I thought there was supposed to be a twitch channel? Searched for pinball network and got nothing.

It's here. The streaming is still done under the original's channel, but they are auto-hosted here when they go live.

    Quoted from ZMeny:

So my “screaming and yelling” is on purpose and I’m an asshole? I get excited and my voice has a bit of a range, but to be called an asshole without ever meeting or knowing someone? “Fucking childish shit” noted. Thanks in advance for tuning in this coming week.

Zach, although I don't believe you are an asshole, the raising of your voice is quite annoying. I, too, listen with earbuds and often think my ears are going to start bleeding. Maybe when you get excited you could back away from the mic. It wouldn't hurt to turn down the volume on some of your sound effects either (screaming goat). xoxo

I'm with Dennis. It's not a fan layout, Zach.

"A fan layout is a game with only 2 flippers and goals laid out in an arc at the top of the table. While every pinball game by its nature has a basic fan layout. Many break the pattern by including secondary sets of flippers to break up the shot mix."

AIQ has a third flipper and not all the shots are accessible from the lower flippers, therefore AIQ is not a fan layout.

Travis Murie (Marv Loco) made some very valid points regarding the reveal streams. I hadn't given it much thought until hearing his comments, but I do agree that there should be a higher level of professionalism versus the normal casual streams. I hope ALL of the manufacturers check out what he had to say.

    Quoted from ZMeny:

Appreciate the discussion man. However.... , your distinction above states that not all shots can be made by lower two flippers thus its not a fan layout. Tell me, which shot(s) is not accessible by the lower flippers?

    Quoted from chuckwurt:

The inner loop off the upper left flipper.

    ^^^What chuckwurt said^^^

    Quoted from chuckwurt:

Not sure how you would define games with upper and lower playfields though. I would say each playfield would be assessed separately.

I was thinking about that, too. I would consider BKSOR pro a fan, but not the premium/LE.

I'm thinking anything with an upper playfield would not be considered a fan just because they don't fit the definition.

Things that make you go "hmmmm."

    #1768 3 years ago
    Quoted from chuckwurt:

But I mean look at No fear or Munsters. No fear is a fan all the way imo. Munsters same thing. There’s definitely excepts to the rule imo.

The Munsters is a fan layout (both playfields LOL). No Fear has shots not accessible from the lower flippers, right? (Upper flipper) Maybe it's a modified fan layout?

So maybe we need to expand the terminology.

    Traditional fan layout
Modified fan layout - what constitutes this, though?

What's a layout called when it fits neither of those two categories? Or is it just fan and non-fan?

I'd be curious to know what designers like Steve Richie, Pat Lawlor and Dennis Nordman's thoughts are on this.

Maybe there is no real way to categorize all playfields by layout.

I still maintain that AIQ is not a fan, though.

Too be honest, I wanted a Greg Bone "Let's kick this s*!t" T-shirt.

Also, whoa! $40 for a T-shirt?!?! I need to raise my prices!

Also, also, the thought of my pecker poking Zach in the back of the head is somewhat satisfying.

    Quoted from ZMeny:

$38 is such a small price to pay for protecting those nips.

    These are only $24:

LOL... After the Lane Bryant comment, my first thought was, "Lane Bryant still puts out a catalog?"

    Quoted from n1teowl:

    Yeah

Yes, I have to admit that was me - not my finest podcasting hour. I was trying to pronounce it the Japanese way and ended up pronouncing it in a way I apparently made up. I should have just stuck with Ann-ee-may. Lesson learned

    Quoted from reconsider59:

As someone who works in voiceover, don't let the haters get you down, friend. You sound great on mic, there are a lot of words and a lot of ways to say them, and sometimes, you simply end up committing to the wrong one. Just how it goes sometimes—lesson learned for next time. Keep up the great work!

This just reminds me of Oprah's story about mispronouncing Canada.

I found the Deeproot episode very interesting up until the point where the guest began to say "Like" like several times per like sentence

Like OMG. That like seriously got on my like nerves.
