There are a lot of great albums, but I always think to Elton John's output from 1970-1975 as one of the best runs of any artist ever. From age 22 to 27, that man did in succession:

Elton John
Tumbleweed Connection
Madman Across the Water
Honky Chateau (my favorite)
Don't Shoot Me I'm Only the Piano Player
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
Carribou (weakest of the bunch)
Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy

Some of my all-time favorites:

LZII - Led Zeppelin
Abbey Road - Beatles
Selling England By the Pound - Genesis
Eponymous - Fleetwood Mac
Ok Computer - Radiohead
Honkey Chataeu - Elton John
The Band - The Band
Slowhand - Eric Clapton
Dark Side of the Moon and the Wall - Pink Floyd
Let it Bleed, Sticky Fingers, Some Girls and Tattoo You - Stones
