Ronnie James Dio - 3 perfect albums with 3 different bands:
Rainbow - Rising
Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell
Dio - Holy Diver
Quoted from o-din:This was one of my most listened to albums when it came out. It didn't seem like there were too many people even aware of Rainbow at the time. A few more from the same era and genre that were also high on my playlist were-
UFO- Force It
Judas Priest- Sad Wings of Destiny
Blue Oyster Cult- Tyranny and Mutation
Journey- Look into the Future
These may have not contained the most popular songs by these artists, but as a whole they are great complete albums.
Yeah I love the Priest 70s albums - Sad Wings, Sin after Sin, and Stained Class are all amazing.
I'll check out those UFO and BOC albums
Quoted from o-din:I threw that Journey album on the list as it is nothing like what they turned into after they got the new singer and went on to sell millions of albums. The one I mentioned is pretty solid.
Ah cool, I love when bands have lost albums like that that the bands stop acknowledging...like the very first Def Leppard album or the four Pantera hair metal albums
