Quoted from eraserhead:

King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King

I guess I'm just an old meathead, but I think 21st Century... is one of the greatest songs ever recorded, but the rest of the album bores the s.. out of me.

Quoted from Eskaybee:

Venturing into the punk rock genre, these are my 2 favorites ever!
Dead Kennedys: give me convenience or give me death
Day Glo Abortions: Feed us a Fetus

Agree that the DK album is good back to back, but it's a compilation.
I'd put the CCR best of too in there. No skipping necessary.

I like this one too. It's an anti-materialist manifesto, but it has some good tunes - I love "Society". This album makes me want to run away from home.

Not a big Pearl Jam, nor Eddie Vedder, nor folk fan, hate hippies, but love this album from start to finish.

Mostly bluegrass mixed with a bit of 70s prog folk and a touch of southern rock for an excellent mostly perfect album from start to finish.

Wow, the bleeding heh? I have a hard time listening to a death metal album back to back nowadays, but I've been an advocate of how cannibal corpse manage to make their stuff as heavy as heavy music can get without overdoing it. Wouldn't have thought about it, but that album is pretty close to a death metal masterpiece.
F'd with a knife and the pick axe murders are my two faves, and the title track is a great one to slow things down and keep things interesting.

Can't find the full album, but here's something I can listen to back to back when the mood is right. Little known band, just one album, hits the nail on the head.

Yeah I know these guys, haven't listened to that in years... I'll give em a spin at work tomorrow...

#379 8 years ago

Never listened to that one, I'll give it a spin today.

Oh so that's a brand new one is it? I found a playlist on youtube that has what seems to be most of the songs, but not on spotify yet... anywhere I can stream this in its entirety and correct order?
Listening to X-Ray vision right now, sounds pretty damn good.

I like it too brother.
I think the first time I played guitar on a stage was a music school show where I played Black Star and Hallowed be thy name.

Agreed for Lucifuge too, except for that horrible cover.

*Edit: Oh wait, Heartwork! Everyone who likes Carcass likes that one! It's Swansong that people hate...

Here's two excellent (maybe not perfect, but close IMO) 90's black metallish albums for you metalheads:

How about a little Black Sunday by Cypress Hill?

Agreed.

Basement bump!

One of my favorite new finds of the last few years - Blood Ceremony
If you're into anything 70's rock, stoner, Jethro Tullish, you can't not like this band. Love their latest record, caught myself listening to it twice in a row at work last week.

Now you guys are just throwin shit at the walls.
This thread used to mean something.

You used to be fun man.
Now you're just cranky.

I can't tell if it's perfect or not I have a hard time making it through a death metal album at my old age. I had a hankerin' for some Cannibal Corpse last week, I only made it like 6 songs into The Bleeding.
