Quoted from Clytor:

Unfortunately, we are in the same boat at our club. We have a similar chip out of the art after removing the protector. It's a bummer mylar didn't help more. Are we supposed to shut the game off until Stern can redesign their protector? There is no way Stern didn't know about this when they shipped these games. (Insert rant about how scoops on B/W games lasted for years before they looked like this does after a few days) Our protector was even a tad bent out of the box from the test plays at the factory. It definitely gives you some pause with going in on a first run game. Within the first two weeks, had the Jurassic Park flipper post issue with cracked art and clear, walk lock on Avengers had some binding issue, we went through two ramp diverters on Mandolorian...apparently I don't learn. Ha. Part of me feels like if Stern had more competition in the marketplace, these things would go through longer testing before release. All of that said, Stern games are great once the kinks are worked out.

This is why I always go with a second run game. I’m on the list for a second run Godzilla premium. The Rush just down the way from me on location has some issues. Most notably, the scoop shoots the ball sdtm half the time and the left loop rollover switch doesn’t register. Scoops should be designed solid enough to where the ball always comes out in the same spot. Other than that the shots are kinda clunky, like they just need to be tweaked a little bit. I’m hoping to play on a different game before writing it off, but so far Rush is disappointing.

Quoted from Vino:

Agree scoop was rough on location but didn’t find the shots to be clunky at all.
Do you have one on order?
Sorry you found it disappointing.

No, I decided to put my money towards a Godzilla premium. In every new pin, it seems these very early pros have a lot of variation from game to game. Like I said, I just think the game I played needed some small tweaks to it. Ramps were fine but the loops and orbits would bounce around and get caught up a lot. It takes awhile for the workers to get the hang of building new games. But the defective switches happen way too often. Stern switches and coil stops, ugh.

Quoted from Diamond:

Same with my Led Zeppelin LE. Was no goodie bag. I did end up getting a few replacement spinners and decals from Stern while they were figuring out the magic spinner issues.

My Avengers premium didn’t even come with scoring cards. I had to borrow from my TWD goodie bag. Is that a new thing? Also for the new LE owners. How is the new scoop design so far. When I played a pro, that front scoop felt really tight. With the new forklift design, does it feel even tighter. A lotta rejects? Can’t wait to play an LE, but it seems like it takes forever to ship them out to SoCal.

Quoted from kool1:

Has anyone noticed some very minor bubbles right here beside the scoop. I can't get a good picture but you can feel it if you rub a finger over the area. Doesn't seem like the scoop is causing the issue, not sure if it's worth some concern longer term..
[quoted image]

The part you circled doesn’t look as bad as the area up and to the right. That doesn’t look good for a brand new game.
Edit: I see it now. Yeah, not good.

I played the pro on location near me again last night. Last week the scoop was shooting it SDTM half the time and was bouncing out a lot because the protector was trashed. The operator removed it so it played a lot better.
He still has the volume set super low which is so frustrating on a music pin and he still hasn’t replaced the faulty switch on the left loop rollover. I’d replace it for him if I had his contact info. The game is at Linnbrook bowling alley in Anaheim.

Quoted from DNO:

Here is a picture of my scoop. I removed the “bad” protector after 79 plays, destroyed.
This is after 1500 plays….
[quoted image]

You went from 79 plays to 1500 plays in a hurry.

Quoted from DNO:

Location game, seems to be a decent earner, time will tell.
I think it will be better than Zep, not as good as Godzilla.
Maybe along the lines of Maiden long term.

At the bowling alley no one is playing it. Probably because of the low volume and previous scoop issues. Godzilla gets played constantly and is a filthy mess. The Mandelorian is pristine and also rarely gets played.
