Quoted from Clytor:Unfortunately, we are in the same boat at our club. We have a similar chip out of the art after removing the protector. It's a bummer mylar didn't help more. Are we supposed to shut the game off until Stern can redesign their protector? There is no way Stern didn't know about this when they shipped these games. (Insert rant about how scoops on B/W games lasted for years before they looked like this does after a few days) Our protector was even a tad bent out of the box from the test plays at the factory. It definitely gives you some pause with going in on a first run game. Within the first two weeks, had the Jurassic Park flipper post issue with cracked art and clear, walk lock on Avengers had some binding issue, we went through two ramp diverters on Mandolorian...apparently I don't learn. Ha. Part of me feels like if Stern had more competition in the marketplace, these things would go through longer testing before release. All of that said, Stern games are great once the kinks are worked out.
This is why I always go with a second run game. I’m on the list for a second run Godzilla premium. The Rush just down the way from me on location has some issues. Most notably, the scoop shoots the ball sdtm half the time and the left loop rollover switch doesn’t register. Scoops should be designed solid enough to where the ball always comes out in the same spot. Other than that the shots are kinda clunky, like they just need to be tweaked a little bit. I’m hoping to play on a different game before writing it off, but so far Rush is disappointing.
