I recall seeing a post somewhere about the machine locking up during multiball. I've probably got 10 games on my LE and already experienced this. A bit disappointing when your trying to get your wife's high score of the machine
Sooo... Last night I updated via wifi to v1. I noticed pretty quick the clock hand is no longer moving. Is this what everyone is talking about with the node board or is it an occurrence from the update?
It was previously working fine.
Quoted from pete_d:On the other hand, the software problem is transient and usually resolves if you turn the machine off and back on again
I turned the machine off and on tonight and it's working perfect. Thanks!
Next question, it's almost like my shooter rod is too short (no pun intended). At a full draw it barely goes up the lane. Anybody else have that issue? Auto launch is fine.
So .. strange issue going on. Even at a full plunge the ball doesn't have enough power to make it up the shooter lane. I'm finally getting around to looking at it. At rest the plunger is probably 1/4 inch from the ball. It appears to be a little high of center but not enough to cause this. It originally worked fine. Auto launch still works fine. Playfield looks like it's sitting where it should be.
Maybe a herring but looks like plastic shavings in cabinet under shooter.
I'm stumped. Any ideas?

It's got maybe 100 games on it. No wear on the tip and the plunger is tight. No work done on it other than the switch replacement in scoop. Original spring.
Do you know what kind of gap yours has at rest in the lane?
Good to know I'm not alone Skyking. I wrapped up the game I'm taking to Expo this morning (RCT) and thought I'd take a look at Rush while I was at it.
On a side note, my neighbor said I should take Rush LE. I said I would if he took his Tron LE. Needless to say neither of those games are going.
For an experiment I shimmed the bottom of the shooter housing to bring the plunger tip to the center of the ball. Amazingly enough that was enough to make it work properly again.
I may do the barrel spring mod mentioned but wanted to try this first. Now I'm wondering if the playfield is sitting a little lower than it used to, making the shooter rod out of alignment, but that is a project for tomorrow.

This is so bizarre. Mine has come and gone. The more I think about it the more I think it's got to be playfield alignment with the shooter rod .
Quoted from ZodiacMunch:the plunger is hitting the auto-plunger assembly somewhere.
Interesting observation. I noticed my auto plunge hitting also when I was testing but ignored it. Perhaps the auto plunge is actually launching the ball before the plunger tip hits it. That would perhaps explain things.
Plunger solution... Somebody pointed out the plunger making the auto launch move when plunging a ball. (Sorry, looked back and couldn't find who said it). Mine was doing that also. A closer inspection revealed it was hitting the top metal piece, so r auto launch was actually hitting the ball before the plunger. The shim I added to the back of the plunger housing was enough to give it clearance where the ball launches perfect. Hope this helps others that run into it.
The little pieces of rubber in the bottom of the cabinet are actually shavings from the rubber to hitting the auto launch.
