Got my LE today, #067 despite a Feb. 18 build. Took my time setting it up, updating the code, replacing some rubbers with Titans, and played one game so far... 45 minutes and 1.1 billion! Watch me never get that again.

It's a bit generous with extra balls and multiballs. Really like the layout though. Looks like a complex piece of clockwork with ramps everywhere, locks, vuks, clocks, etc. One of the prettiest Stern has made, it looks complex and dazzling. I like it, both how it shoots and how it looks. Hopefully it gets a bit more challenging as the code develops. The only thing that would bring it down for me is if it's 30-45 minutes every game, but I can always fix that myself in settings. And I'm sure I had a bit of beginner's luck, just shooting what's lit.

I'll read through the thread to see if there's answers to some of my questions, like if I should adjust the clock arm by hand or by a setting in the menu (it doesn't line up with the symbols), and how to adjust that back orbit to the upper flipper so balls don't get hung up sometimes. Cheers.

Quoted from Mookie:

#61 is in da house.
Does anyone know if expression lights come on when game is idle mode, machine turned on,
but no game being played.

Yes, they should be part of the attract mode light show with the rest of the lights.

Quoted from NightTrain:

I will never understand why some of you guys put a blanket over your pinball machine. The playfield is beautiful to look at. To be honest, I look at my machines more than I play them. They are mechanical art.
What exactly are you trying to protect? Are you protecting your eyes from looking at something awesome? It’s like having a hot wife/girlfriend and then cutting your eyes out with a knife!
Stop spending your money on blankets. Spend it on beer and play some pinball!

I have bath towels over all my pins so I don't have to dust the glass. Cheap shits, $2.99 specials from Kohl's, but my pins are mostly in the basement so they get a lot of dust from 2 humans and 3 dogs on the floor above, and the only time I'm down here is when I'm playing so admiring them is irrelevant.

Quoted from Dexter:

Received my LE yesterday. I must say the red flasher caps by Diddy Mods is a MUST! They look so nice - similar to Medisinyl's Elvira mods - this looks like it should have come this way.

They look cool, but I'm worried the ones on the slingshots would block sightlines for the inlanes and outlanes. Do they?

Quoted from ccw2112:

Headphones are an amazing experience but different… I dig both set ups

Huh, interesting and useless bit of trivia looking at that photo, Rush is the only LCD era Stern, JJP, AP, or Spooky not to have standard Suzo-Happ coin reject buttons. CGC and Heighway use the Suzo-Happ buttons with the fingers holding a coin. DP uses something entirely different. I should go to bed.

#2115 2 years ago
Quoted from mbrave77:

My last 3 games came without them. Stern buttons now. Godzilla mando and now rush.

Interesting. My Godzilla LE (October build) has Suzo-Happ. Looks like you have Godzilla premium, which was built after LE, plus thekaiser82 a few posts above with his 12/21 builds having Stern buttons, so at some point Nov or Dec. 2021 they must've made the coin reject button change for everything.

#2130 2 years ago
Quoted from SkyKing2301:

The buttons are the same as they've been for quite some time. The image inside the button is just a tiny sheet of paper inserted into a slot. So the image in the button changed, but the button itself is the same. Considering I sell 3D coin reject buttons to replace these, I would've learned of this change right away.

Quoted from flynnibus:

This is recent. I didn't look closer but it could just be the insert graphics. I didnt look at the mech closely

Oh yeah, it's just the inserts I'm talking about. Like I said, minor trivia, it's just been like a 10+ year run for those inserts.
