Looking forward to my LE to arrive!
Small nit....it isn’t my favorite naming for the owners thread... Neil had such a way with words it would be nice if we incorporated some of them.

Looking forward to my LE to arrive!
Small nit....it isn’t my favorite naming for the owners thread... Neil had such a way with words it would be nice if we incorporated some of them.
Quoted from bouche03:Anyone heard anything from Game Exchange on their LE eta? I thought I would as here first before shooting an email to JJ, which I am sure he has already gotten a dozen times
I spoke with JJ late last week via text, no pins shipped to him yet. I too am wondering with the storms if the call from him comes this week! Luckily the wife and I have been following our favorite band Dead Sara around the country this last week finishing in Denver on Wednesday night at the Paramount, so my urge to text JJ every day has been muted…
And if ya’ll haven’t heard of Dead Sara… you should check them out.
E0718DEA-43C2-4304-8D84-9B0A50865DEF (resized).png#299 is in the house... setup was very smooth. No troubles with leg bolts or anything else.
First test game without setting pitch was a ripper personal best... Turned out it was 7.55... way steeper than normal but played great. Went back to 6.75, plays great too, but maybe you steep pitch folks are onto something
Love the light show, and the humor callouts are great. Hearing Geddy say numbnuts is hilarious!
20220226_085723 (resized).jpgI gotta say, I love the long shaker usage on this game... that it shakes subtlety while the end of ball bonus points are tallied, and throughout the game. A much more tactile experience.
Quoted from jonboy71:Anyone tried this yet to find out what it is?
From a post long ago by LTG, assuming this remains the same.
“Alters some of the adjustments and settings. Directors cut for instance is what the programmer preferred.
Novelty usually eliminates winning games or extra balls etc.”
Quoted from PoMC:Rush has entered stage left.

Great game room, and you got the rare side art of a 6 string bass with 4 pegs and 3 tuners!
Quoted from schudel5:Heard an odd callout during the match sequence at the end by Geddy. "it's a match, Gary!" is that in reference to Gary Stern?
Pretty sure Geddy says ‘Thanks Gary’ at the end of that match call out and yes, it seems to me he is saying thanks to Gary Stern for the free game.
It’s a great call out.
I’ve been to all of the Emporiums(Fulton Wicker, Logan) and Headquarters Beercade, well pre ‘vid anyway…. And enjoyed them all.
Quoted from cooked71:OK, so the coloured records. To qualify the mode it doesn't matter about colour matching, but I get more points if i've got all the records colour matched? What's the multi coloured flashing one?
Do I get more points if all the colours are matched? Do i get more points if some are matched but not all? Can I change a colour once its locked? Do I get extra points if it's one of each colour? I know the colour relates somehow to the mode that will be started - is it the first colour you lock that determines the mode that will start?
Most of these questions are covered in the rules.
https://sternpinball.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Rush-Rulesheet.pdf
- yes color locked shots score more in a mode. More same-color locked shots score more when that mode/song is active. E.g. dark blue and Spirit of Radio
- multi colored records are universal shot multipliers for any mode. The multiplier is larger if it’s awarded and applied after a completed song
- flashing color shots can be moved/changed by hitting Rush targets
- locked colors can be moved/changed by target behind the instruments(Prem/LE)
- generally the most locked colors drive the mode that’s started
Quoted from insight75:Yes I got mine fairly early on so perhaps that is the issue. Still waiting on a response.
I have an early iteration… it recently ripped as well. I did reach out to NinjaCamp, but upon reflection of nearly 800 plays on Rush and since I replace balls, rings, the occasional plastic, and even re-ordered cliffy’s for my shooter lane when they get beat up on any other machine…I just ordered another scoop protector from NC…
Quoted from orangedude71:Anyone know where this screw might have fallen from

Records of the same color are locked in once their associated mode starts and add +10% to scoring & score 2x during the mode; get all 6 record shots to the same color for 3x scoring for all shots during the mode. The RUSH targets and instrument lane cycle uncollected and collected record shots to different colors, respectively.
From Records & Planet Modes section at http://tiltforums.com/t/stern-rush-rulesheet/7409
Pretty sure that the newest code eliminates the 3x scoring for collecting all 6 records. 2x is the max.
New code=more topper awards?
Anyone else seeing this? I’ve had more topper awards in the few games since I updated on Friday then all previous plays combined?
I still don’t understand the Frenzy mode… but until now was so rare I never looked into it.
Quoted from tscottn:Hi all. Since owing the machine for a couple of days now I've had a number of stuck balls. This one happens every so often when there just isn't quite enough UMMPF to get the ball to hop the ramp into the time machine and it just stalls out between the ramp and the TM hole. Then there is really nothing I can do except pull my glass or tilt the machine to get it unstuck. Seems like a easy fix /mod would have been for them to add a small lip on the TM hole so when the ramp comes up it meets the lip and there is no gap. What say you all?
[quoted image]
Happens on my machine. I just wait for the machine to do a ‘ball search’ and the ramp moves, the ball drops and I am back playing. I haven’t seen a mod/fix in the owners thread yet.
Quoted from vikingerik:I made factual descriptions that the shots aren't in the flipper sweet spots, and often get blocked by autoplunged balls and the upper flipper, and aren't easy to accidentally make during multiballs like on some other games. That's all simple facts. You're not even disagreeing with any of it. It comes up often that people think they're having trouble playing the game well, and I'm pointing out where the layout works against them.
I’m actually not sure how one would disagree? How can anyone say a shot is in the flipper sweet spot? Are the flippers set *exactly* the same on all machines? No variation of droop at all from the factory? Pitch impact? Speed of ball travel? There can be some auto-plunge conflict, but way less than ball collisions in the main playfield, to me anyway.
For a factual statement, I’d expect a playfield diagram with arrows and measurements?
Finally, wouldn’t all playfield shots from the main flippers need to be close to the exact same across all games, if a *factual* flipper sweet spot was the design standard?
Then people would bemoan a ‘rehashed sweet spot layout’ Borg, Gomez, Ritchie, Lawlor haven’t had a new idea in years… it’s all sweet spot layouts…one after the other… deliberately making a few difficult shots on a playfield? Novel idea and obviously horrible.
Now having said that, your scores on pins set a high bar. I have worked VERY hard to get 8B on Star Wars and still be barely half way to your scores. Your scoring strategies are useful, and I do appreciate the fact that I will likely never get sick of any machine, while it must only be a few weeks or months for your skill level.
I’m actually not sure I want to be that good, it would mean mostly solo play as my friends and family wouldn’t enjoy waiting for me to finish a ball.
