I just got work that LE's are on the line end of next week!

Everyone needs to chill out about the scoop protector. I feel like PinMonk has a pitchfork and a torch ready. Grab a beer and go print some 3D brackets. It may help you cool down.
Don’t ask me how I know, but this scoop protector on the LE is not the final revision. The final is in the works. Stern will get it sorted out.

Quoted from Diamond:I hope you are correct in that this is just a band aid stern came up with to keep the games going out the door. The way the fix is now definitely stops ball from entering scoop on the left and right. I really would like to see some gameplay of how the ball reacts hitting the forks.
Correct
I know it’s been said before and it’s super cliche, but pictures DO NOT do the cabinet justice. It’s amazing. The reflective foil is beautiful. I love the gold leg bolts. Nice little touch stern. Bravo.
Don’t get me started on the back glass. It’s nuts! The mirror is incredible. Easily the best mirrored backglass I’ve ever seen. This art is great!
And I was bummed about the flat black powder coat at first. Now that I see it, it is perfect!

Yeah one of my rituals is to open that up and put a keychain plastic on the key. Cmon Gary! Most expensive LE* to date and that’s the goodie bag?!?! Lol! Man….
*regular LE
Just set up my LE and only have a handful of games on it. But I was purposefully banging on that scoop. It looks tight, but is way easier to hit than it would seem. Those forks gave me no issues at all. It always served it back to my right flipper too.

The right scoop eject on my LE shoots directly to the upper flipper and often bounces back in the right scoop. Rinse. Repeat.
Where is it supposed to hit when ejected? Anybody else seeing the same behavior as me?
My machine is leveled but I haven’t played with pitch yet. I’d guess I’m at 6.75 right now, and plan to increase to 7.25 to speed things up. Right eject power is at default settings so I could try lowering it.
Would like to hear what other LE owners are experiencing.
Adjust the power down
Quoted from swampfire:I’m sure I’m in the minority, but I like the plainness of the speaker panel for most Sterns. It gives your eyes a rest from the artwork on the translite and playfield.
Yeah it’s way too busy for me. Powder coat the armor and that panel instead.
My dad came over and played Rush yesterday. He’s a big fan of the band and was super excited to play it. After a few games, he was listing all the stuff he loved. Then he said he had one criticism. It was the center playfield art. All I could do was laugh. I said you’re not alone Dad
It’s just funny to hear an outsider say the say thing as a lot of others on here. It is a great game though!
Quoted from j_m_:a question to all LE owners that have received their machines.
I heard that the cabinet art has a foil accent (like they started doing with the godzilla LE) but I'm not seeing anything in the photos that have been posted so far
Yeah you can't capture it in a picture. Looks amazing in person!
Quoted from Nevus:Regarding the scoop:
The new scoop protector went out on LEs. I would reasonably assume that it would go out on all games moving forward. Shipping to the original pro owners may simply be a matter of supply.
The new solution is not perfect, as the “forks” affect the ball going into the scoop. It does appear to be holding up to my minimal home use.
This isn't the final fix. This was a band aid while the final fix is being finished.
I will never understand why some of you guys put a blanket over your pinball machine. The playfield is beautiful to look at. To be honest, I look at my machines more than I play them. They are mechanical art.
What exactly are you trying to protect? Are you protecting your eyes from looking at something awesome? It’s like having a hot wife/girlfriend and then cutting your eyes out with a knife!
Stop spending your money on blankets. Spend it on beer and play some pinball!
Quoted from swampfire:I like the final fix; opinions may differ [quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
You have got to be shitting me! That is the worst “fix” I’ve ever seen. This is a joke right????
