Full disclosure my Dad lives in a different State.

Quoted from kool1:

Player One is waiting for Sterns solution. I played all night, so far it's holding ok, no damage yet. I assume it will get bent eventually but I'm just enjoying for now.
You can always bend back if ball starts sticking in the hole.[quoted image]

Quoted from John-Floyd:

No dice for me yet. My date got moved out a little bit and I’m certain this storm isn’t helping either. Was hoping to have it by my birthday, but no biggie - Maybe next week. I’ve been in the gutter this week anyway - 2 emergency root canals on the same tooth and I’ve been in absolute misery. Rush will lift my spirits once it arrives.

Sorry to hear your not having a great Birthday week.Happy Birthday and you will be back on top soon.

#671 2 years ago

Due to the unusual popularity of Madonna in the RUSH thread I have made a scratch n sniff mod available fits to the right of shooter lane

Quoted from jpc211245:

Yep I sure did! Glad to hear they looked good. Any idea how many total were allocated? Trying to figure when delivery might be.

8 I believe

#996 2 years ago

Well last might I got my first games in and I couldnt be more pleased.
The only downs I have are that the sound is crap and I feel for the price it should have come powder coated.
TODAY IS PINWOOFER DAY.Having pinwoofer on most of my machines I know what to expect and I am very excited to hear/see the results again.About the shaker ,I love it .It came set on aggressive and I will leave it but you can turn it down in settings. When I was driving to pick it up I had a Rush like I was on speed (the Christmas Day effect)

#999 2 years ago
Quoted from TinyBlackDog:

The LE is powder coated - in flat black. Definitely not the normal rough finish on Stern Pro/Premiums.
Agree on the sound - it is garbage. Pinwoofer is too rich for my blood as you can DIY better for less (or similar for much less) but that is a conversation for another thread.

Flat Black Blah still looks great

#1008 2 years ago
Quoted from SkyKing2301:

Put on a few more games last night, and I'm still kinda lost. I think a good code update would be to include a little more instruction on what the hell I'm supposed to be doing, particularly when you start a mode. It pauses (while the ball held in the Time Machine) as it starts the Song Mode ... it shows the album cover and song name on the screen -- why not include instructions then and give me a chance to understand what I'm supposed to do? Example: "The Big Money -- hit all pink shots then do this/that". Every mode feels like it's just "hit all the things" and I'm not clear what the differences are.
The other thing that's driving me batty is the constant overlap of modes. I was in some mode (lost track), and then I suddenly started Bastille Day. In the middle of Bastille Day, I activated Big Money. During Big Money, I triggered Far Cry multiball. During Far Cry multiball, I somehow ended up doing One Little Victory victory laps. I have no idea what the hell is going on. I know some of this understanding will eventually work itself out as I play it more, but it's impossible to follow what I'm supposed to be doing if I keep starting some other new mode every ten seconds on the top of some other mode.
Comparing to Game of Thrones, for example, sure I can stack modes -- but I can choose to do that and they start at the same time (or when I add another, like Wall Multiball, it pauses to tell me I'm adding something else). On this game, it feels like, PLAY THIS MODE - NOW PLAY THIS MODE - NOW ADD THIS MODE - HERE'S MORE BALLS - PLAY THIS TOO - EVERYTHING IS LIT - OMGWTFBBQ
Again, to be clear, I love this game -- but it needs a little more structure/organization. Does Stern read this thread or am I ranting to the void?

I am feeling somewhat the same.I only watched a couple of gameplay videos and then stopped watching videos and listening to anything Rush so I wouldnt be burned out when I got mine. Now I dont know much about rules but will enjoy learning as I go.If only there were a car mod .Hmmm

#1044 2 years ago

Try doing the old USB stick, worked in 1 shot for me

#1045 2 years ago
Quoted from Calgedy:

Just got the call as well! Tuesday, March 1 @ 2pm. Man alive!!!! Congrats to all the owners.......the last two months have been Christmas every day with the rumors, updates, announcements, release and banter on this site and other media outlets. I am a newbie to pinball ownership and Rush is hands down my favorite band, so it is amazing that this release coincides with my newfound passion for pinball.

I suppose theres a reason you dont drive the 1 hour and pick it up now ? :thinking:Rent a Uhaul

#1088 2 years ago
Quoted from DugFreez:

SpeakerLightKits.com actually. I hope you don't take offence to the correction as I have actually had people get mad when I have done that in the past.
Doug (SpeakerLightKits.com)

accurate information is always best.

Quoted from upsfeedr:

Do you run a external Sub with your pin woofer system.

I hooked up my pinwoofer kit yesterday and it sounds awesome, today I will add my polk 10 .
Pinwoofer on my Zeppelin has a sub hooked in and sounds unbelievably good.I got everything I needed in 1 stop at Pinwoofer.

#1130 2 years ago

Here are my initial settings for pinwoofer probably tweak it some as I rock along.

Just got back from Fedex.....LE in da house!!!!!! Now....I don't know what to do about the scoop!

What # ? Its not like Spinal Tap (it can never be played) Play it.So far no issues here, play it until you think theres some disforming going on and then stop.I have no problems yet.

Oh you lucky ------- and the Beer too.

#1305 2 years ago

#1344 2 years ago

Dialed in my pinwoofer and sub today. Here’s my settings if you want to rock. Also no issues on scoop I need to tighten up my wires now that I’m where I like it

Quoted from bouche03:

Oh so close to being an LE owner today...unfortunately R&L ruined that for me...
[quoted image]

can you open it up and look or are you just saying hard pass ? I would be pretty upset.

#1550 2 years ago
Quoted from bouche03:

I opened it up. The driver was super apologetic and was the one that suggested opening it. Upon inspection the head was fine. The glass was fine too. But the bottom edges of the cabinet had been hit and split/mushroomed. I should have taken pics, but had already closed the box up. The box says enough though!

curious what le number it was

#1554 2 years ago
Quoted from kool1:

Kind of surprised by the hate for the Rush Pro by some pinsiders this week. I'm far from a pinball expert but the game plays very well and I find it more fun than other pros I play regularly like Aerosmith, Guardians, Metalica, Stranger Things and Star Wars.
I'm wondering of the scoop issues are contributing to this? Probably early code also.
[quoted image]

too many reviewers start like this ,Duh I played one or two games at the local bar couldnt hear nothing and couldnt figure out the rules in 6 balls. So I rate it sucks. You should play a lot more to be eligible to review. If I want your uninformed opinion I will beat it out of you.

#1559 2 years ago
Quoted from Av8:

Thinking of adding this cassette tape to the back board. Lots of mod potential on Rush. Concert tickets, drum sticks etc.
ebay.com link: itm

I have that cassette and played it to death.possibly their best.

#1582 2 years ago
Quoted from WeirPinball:

It's here - just have to update the code and it's ready - gameroom isn't what it used to be....
[quoted image][quoted image]

I would give up my left something or other to have a nice space that size.Looks good

#1696 2 years ago
Quoted from McIntyre905:

What's the best way to update the code? I'm worried my parents wifi will be shit for their machine.

usb stick

#1733 2 years ago
Quoted from beelzeboob:

I fiddled with this when I got the game, and the sound always sucked. I bailed and installed the Pinwoofer system with a Klipsch sub and now the game blows my balls off when I start a song. It's a ridiculous difference...it's like you have the stereo on LOUD when you're playing. I'm convinced that's the reason I scored over 600 mil on my first game with the new speakers. Certainly wasn't talent.

amen

#1869 2 years ago

The Flat finish looks the same as any old regular black in my lineup, nothing limited or special about it.Overall the game looks great.

#2203 2 years ago

Kinda sucks you guys dont have yours yet but the scalpers sure have theirs.

#2217 2 years ago

An educated guess says yes

Absolutely beautiful machine, the fix must consist of those 2 blue sides and a new scoop for the ones that are already tore up.Have a fun weekend.

#2574 2 years ago

My Rush LE is the best sounding and playing machine in my collection.I will turn it up now,Can you hear it ?

#2642 2 years ago
Quoted from Hayfarmer:

You guys with pinwoofer need to check this out. It's his new product, the , BBU, bass boost unit. Tremendous increase in bass production, I have in 3 machines now. Geddy sounds soooooo good!!
[quoted image][quoted image]

I also have this in my Rush LE and I could not be happier with my total sound package.

Quoted from Flippersaurus:

So I've had my premium for a few days now and I'm really digging it. Did anyone get any spare plastics or decals with their game? I got none, not even a key fob. Not a big deal, but I'd thought I'd ask. Maybe they just forgot to put them in my game.
Anyone else getting a lot of shots bouncing back out of the VUK shot? I may need to add some foam or something.

I got basically an empty baggie,I have an ad for it on FB

#2792 2 years ago

well its been about 3 weeks since I brought it home and I am very happy with this homerun of a machine.

#3198 2 years ago

I was thinking about that today too. This Game is great you will be very happy
My game seems to have no issues and plays and sounds awesome. On the other
hand its not the same feeling when you have problems. Its great when its our turn
to share and discuss problems and solutions so its productive and informative.
But your right some can be too much .

#3282 2 years ago

Read Rush Le ratings comments if you want a good laugh, the haters are trying to tank it.Nobody cares but i Laughed.

#3376 2 years ago

I know its probably been discussed in the IC thread but what am I missing ?I dont use any of my ICs on anything. It feels kind of Big Brotherish to me and like a pathway to buy upgrades. What do you gain.

#3380 2 years ago

Will everyone see my weak a-- scores ?

#3394 2 years ago
Quoted from CrashJT:

Being Rush fans, when we heard they were filming the Time Machine tour in nearby Cleveland, we attempted to get tickets. The scalpers had them at insane prices eg $1200 each. I suggested we see them in Hershey PA which we did in the front for $200. It was about a week or less till Cleveland. We were pulling out of the lot after the show, and my wife is working feverishly on her phone. I'm like what are you doing? She says, I just bought us tickets to Cleveland. She claims the prices dropped, because the show was soon, but still won't tell me what they cost. (When I mentioned Rush was coming out with a pinball last December, she said let's use the house fund!) She's a real fan.
Anyway, on the drive to Cleveland, I probably didn't need to, but just in case, I made my final plea. It may sound stupid, but it's a lifelong dream to be in a concert video, especially Rush! So tonight, I don't care if you have a migraine, you'll sing every word to every song and pump your fist the whole time! We can't control where the cameras are, but if a camera happens to pass by, I don't want to end up on the cutting room floor because we aren't into it. Luckily, we ended up in a lot of it. Some of it is in the game. I may be in Spirit Of The Radio, but have yet to see it for myself. I first confirmed our appearance in Jack Danger's twitch live stream during Limelight Multiball. Discovery (pun intended) is here Most of our shots are here

Great memories

Quoted from Gryszzz:

Herp de derp ...I just scrolled down to the ads and VOILA....there it is. Is this the same thing?[quoted image]

worth it

#3479 2 years ago
Quoted from Tortfesor:

The Pinwoofer KO system looks interesting. The LE has upgraded Kenwood 5.25" speakers that are light in color and look great with a speaker light kit. Pinwoofer comes with blue cone Pyle 5.25" speakers with a large tweeter, which I don't think will look as good with the light kit. Did anyone not use the Pyle speakers, or get a discount on the Pinwoofer system without the 5.25" speakers? I can't speak to the quality of either pair of speakers, but did see online that the Kenwoods are generally more expensive - not that that's an indicator of quality.

I got the pinwoofer kit and use the pyles also bought a speaker light kit from Doug and I could not be happier.
I do a lot of my own work actually all of it but not feeling comfortable with any experimental cost cutting add ons
to tie in to my 12,000 dollar machine.Pinwoofer is tried and tested by hundreds or more and I only hear positive
reviews. It costs more but I like the products and customer service.I dont have the confidence to gamble on my machines.

#3491 2 years ago
Quoted from manadams:

I'm on latest code and it happens every time the time machine has all three lights flashing, still learning the rules so not clear what I'm collecting when all three lights are flashing.

I have had it put the ball out the front before but dont remember why or if it went sdtm.

#3579 2 years ago
Quoted from jpc211245:

After 185 games I removed my scoop protectors a few days ago. I was very pleasantly surprised that despite the protectors being thrashed the playfield looked outstanding. I will mylar it up in prep for an aftermarket protector I ordered.

are those shipping now

#3607 2 years ago
Quoted from Gryszzz:

The spinning clock is big tits. So freakin cool.
Lotta fuckin shots here WOW

I like the lock behind the instruments,I have had a ball locked but only been able to hit the locked ball every once in awhile.

#3657 2 years ago
Quoted from Boslaw:

My sub doesn't have an ohm switch. It's a B&W sub I've had for a very long time but it wasn't being used. Is there a 4/8 switch on the amp in the pin?
Back of the sub has:
Phase (0 or 180)
Mode (Auto or On)
EQ (A or B)
Low Pass Filter (40-140)
Out/In
Volume
I need to read the manual to figure out what all of those options means.

He might have meant the backbox speaker adjustment.

Quoted from schudel5:

Here's my solution to the switch not activating on that tight loop shot. The switch actuated on fast shots, it's just that the ball lifts up going around the tight bend missing the actuator.
I made a cover around the loop using clear PETG I have for making plastics. It's only held on by the 2 nuts on the outside loop plastic. It's cantilevered over the loop to give a little bit of flex.
So far on 5 or 6 games the ball has registered every shot around that loop. So another approach to getting the switch to register the shot.
Now to get the bottom side scoop switch to register reliability and eliminate both ball traps on the moving ramp...

Did you try a different coil sleeve when you swapped the coil? They often deform before the coil itself does and in my experience they account for 90% of weak mechs/flippers. If the plunger motion through the coil is anything short of buttery smooth, you're going to get weak action.

Quoted from SkyKing2301:

Hey Jamesays -- the Red Barchetta road mod looks great but one minor tweak ... you need to replace the silver washer on the left with the one you installed (where it's not needed) on the right.
With the road-only version of the mod, I include black screws & washers to help them disappear into the road. I include 3 black screws but only 2 black washers -- this is because you don't need the washer at the right-most location. The notch/cutout there is only large enough for the screw head itself. I do mention this near the end of the DIY Installation video, but this shows me I need to make that point more clear, so thanks!
So, next chance you're in there:
1) remove the black washer from the right location and reinstall the screw only;
2) remove the silver washer from the left location and reinstall that screw with the black washer.

I was wondering why only 2 washers

A question that I have...I really like the reflective silver face on the Kenwood KFC-1366S speakers that Stern uses in the LE pins. Do you think these will sound good w/ Pinwoofer kit? Has anyone tried this? The Kenwoods are rated at 4 ohm just like the Pyle speakers that are in Pinwoofer kit.

I have had the ball stuck behind the instrument targets 3 or 4 times as the targets pop up before the ball has time to get out.Usually it rolls right out.

It's a maybe. The old switch can work sometimes, the new switch works much more

My original switch has been working fine since day 1 and I had the ball lock settings set to ‘on’ since I got the machine. I upgraded to the new switch as well this past week and am having no issues.

Quoted from schudel5:

Old switch with ball lock turned on worked 1/2 of the time. Balls would lock and then in the middle of a ball, a ball search would happen and the ball would get kicked out. So I went back to virtual locks. Put the new switch in and works 100% now with ball lock turned on.

Thank You for your responses sounds like it can be iffy so I will replace it.

I've bought both, but have yet to install either version.
I've also bought, (but haven't installed) the TPU scoop protector.
I've had my Rush premium for about 2 months now. It still has the "horse blinder" protection that Stern came up with as the "final fix".

You’re the 2nd person within the last 2-3 pages, that has posted damaged wires from zip ties. I’m betting the earlier people that had Node 10 issues, probably have the same wire issue if they look.
Would really like previous Node 10 board replacements, to check their motor wiring for similar issues that you have pictured.

That would explain why replacing the node board didnt last too.It would be nice to have this solved .

So I installed it twice per their instructions. I can’t see any more play on either the top half or bottom half to pull it in one direction or another. It seems it may just be too tall / big? If I nudge the ball with my finger down the vuk switch activates and kicks ball up.
Unless I misunderstand their instructions the bottom lip portion should be on the bottom of the playfield as opposed to jammed into the hole. I’ve pulled it out and reseated it twice with same results. Either I’m missing something (always possible) or it’s design is just a hair too “tall”.
I do not have my coin door open.

So trying to decide which color to stay with, or keep both for variation. I’ve seen plenty of people get Schwasggs(Gameroom Mods) green dice, for the RTB scoops, but haven’t see other colors posted. I ended up getting blue and red sets, as I wasn’t sure which one I’d like more.
Having a hard time choosing one of the two, or staying with how it’s pictured.

I was a little worried about moving my pins up or down stairs. I almost hired someone as I'm getting older and fatter so I'm not quite as steady as I once was. I bought a basic dolly and a couple of those ratcheting straps - works really well for pulling it up or down stairs with another person spotting and assisting from below. Just unbox, slide the dolly under the cab, strap it tightly and take it a stair at a time. Just make sure to place a towel or something to protect where the strap contacts the cabinet to avoid any scuffing.

Whomever is down stairs has to be able to stop 250 lbs from going down on their own.Otherwise yep.

That word doesn't mean what you think it does.

You and others are certainly welcome to like what you like and recommend it, but I think it's also fair to point out the pros and cons of both options, honestly. Let people decide for themselves. And truly, I don't feel the need to jump in every time they're recommended, but if you're going to say something blatantly false then I don't see the problem in correcting it.

Quoted from Flippersaurus:

I started reading this thread again a week or so ago. So I missed some stuff. How many of these node boards does it seem like failed? A dozen? A hundred? A thousand? Also, it sounds like the motors don't have dedicated fuses. Has anyone installed inline fuses? If these aren't failing in great numbers. Or, if it's found to be poor connections that are causing these. Then I don't see why the manufacturer would change anything. So inline fuses might be an easy fix for anyone worried about it.

Like George thorogood says everybody worried Now You worried too

Quoted from Vespula:

Got a great Mod tip from CrashJT and ordered this 12 pack of dice for $11.65 from Amazon: https://a.co/d/htXCa62
I ruined a couple figuring out how to drill the cavity... but that's why having a 12 pack helps. And you would end up with extra for your Rush PinPals!
So in the end it turned out great. I think these are the same dice GameRoomMods is using actually. Love the frosted look and size.
30 minutes max to do all of them... Started with the dice in a vice, and a small bit on the "1" for centering, and progressively worked up through a couple larger bits to make it bigger slowly and stay centered until I reached the one bit that was large enough to create the hole so the scoop bulbs would fit in snug to the green plastic ring. In the end, just some fine tuning to test fit, shave, test fit, etc until the bulb would seat all the way in but snug to the plastic green ring, so no big deal. Snug enough that No glue needed and using your existing bulb.
[quoted image][quoted image]

Earlier in the thread @ hayfarmer shows the Dice mod ,where to Buy(amazon) and How to do.Not that it matters but I think He was 1st on this one.

Hi, we all know fellow rush fans are both nice as well as loyal and proud of Rush.
Those of you that are fortunate enough to own a Rush pinball
why not do the world a favor (by telling the world just how good Rush pinball is) (and helping me make enough to pay for a rush pinball *)
Show your love for Rush and pinball, and of course Rush Pinball!
With this custom T-shirt featuring the "Rush" starman, modified to be holding up a pinball and staring wonderingly into it's shiny round magical sphere.
Almost as if it was designed in anticipation that 45 years later they'd have a pinball game.
"I brushed away the dust of the years, and picked it up, holding it reverently in my hands. I had no idea what it might be, but it was beautiful…” - 2112 Part 3: Discovery
Now when you wear this pinball, other rush pinball fans will immediately know the feeling your trying to convey to them, and people who don't will certainly ask you "What is that? and you can explain to them the joy of both rush and rush pinball.
unfortunately I cannot seem to link this well into my pinside shop (arcade-cabinets.com) as it uses a 3rd party T-shirt provider and I haven't figured out how to link it in without having to pay shipping twice so here's the link to the shirt on my etsy site. I also have mousepads and mugs.
* due to excessive spending on Keith Elwin designed pinballs in the last 6 months and Sterns crazy prices, I have to make enough money selling mods to pay for a rush pinball if I want one ... which I certainly do

Scoop Problem:
I switched out the side scoop Mech for the one Stern sent out as replacement.
However, I’m probably around 30-40 games in on the new one and it has starred to act much like the old scoop that came with the game.
The problem: the balls are not detecting properly and consistently. Having to stop mid game, service menu SSC eject. Or during gameplay the SSC eject will just start firing off randomly as if there were a ball there to eject (which there is not).
Any advice ?
Should I move that moveable arm on the new switch and make a new hole for the screw thus adjusting the switch exposure to the ball ?
When installing I used the hole that was already there, so perhaps new switch went in at same angle and position as the stock was. Is That the problem ?
Thanks in advance.
