Quoted from flynnibus:

Spinner blew off for the 3rd time .. seems to get hammered in some way that keeps bending the arm out.
Slingshot rubber broke already.. and found the inlane guides already worked themselves free. The joys of new games...

Ditch that Stern cheapo black rubber just like the cheapo balls that come with the game. Akin to spec houses for quality.
Install perfect play silicone rubber and Titan balls and you'll be on the road to Rush nirvana.

While you guys are waiting for your mods to come in the mail you should Visit Big Al's Tiki Bar. Just remember, Rules are Rules!

#4407 1 year ago

Kinda shitty that Uncle Gary splintered up 2112.
Did someone mention that the full song is on jukebox mode? Still on .87
Ah well...first world problems lol

#4408 1 year ago

I went against my better judgment and used the Stern balls provided. They're already trashed.

I have 50 + plays on ninja scoop now, no forks needed in my opinion. Looks much cleaner, lies nice and flat. I see no marking at all on it at all. Well done Ninja!

Quoted from Dobler:

I’m still waiting for my Rush which will go next to GnR and I’ve got the PA for my band hooked up to it. The tops are 1000W powered speakers with 15” drivers mounted on 1000W 15” subwoofers. So 4000 Watts total in a small room. So I’m thinking that might just be loud enough for you. [quoted image]

THIS.
This is how you do it. Don't really wanna unhook the upgraded Kenwoods but I'm about to.

You really got a chance to crank it up and play so Rush lives up to the hype right ?

Just installed the Ninja replacement scoop protectors, took about 40 minutes start to finish. Played a bunch of games, they seem to work really well! I'm happy that the original angles of the game are kept in tact, so the ball can bounce off the RUSH targets into the lower scoop, etc, as originally designed which is very nice. I think this will hold up for me at home just fine. I'll still get the Stern protector once they offer it in case a future owner wants it but I'm not installing it, gonna keep this one on. Thanks for making this!

One thing, I think there may be a typo in the instructions. Regarding the screws circled in yellow, it first says:

"Premium/LE: You have an extra plate that needs to be loosened to remove the protector.
Back out the screws shown in yellow about 1/8”."

Then later it says:

"Premium/Pro: Once your protectors are removed, go back to the yellow highlighted screws you loosened in the
previous step and tighten them back down. The new protector will sit under the plate."

I think that second part should say "Premium/LE" rather than "Premium/Pro"?

Making excellent progress on the Rocket City Pinball Red Barchetta mod -- finalized the different versions (and available signs) for the road scenes for the back left corner.

One-lane bridge version still in work, as is the lit-headlights variation for the road scenes or the bridge.

I ordered the ninja scoop protector. Still waiting on my Prem to arrive. Should I install the Ninja protection before I play a single game? Or is it safe to squeeze a few games out before bad things could possibly happen? Thx

Play the game and enjoy it.
Your scoops should be ok, just keep an eye on them.

I totally agree! I am a playfield protector guy but I always play the game out of the box to make sure I can tweak the protector to “feel” the same. 50 plays will do nothing to the game. You can mod it after you understand what you need.

Protector installed. Life is good. The install went fine....although I always miss stuff when I read directions and took out all the screws I was supposed to just loosen. No biggie though to put back. So great to play and not worry anymore. I did not keep the fork as I felt it tore up my balls

Obviously- but this game is for work not pleasure. That costs time and money. The rubber should last a bit… it lasted only 3 weeks.

Busy night last night: got ninja in, song mod color inserts and flipper upgrades. Now just have to play better!

Finally got the play a rush pro on location today! The good news, had a lot of fun! The bad news, insider was offline and I only got four games in before the ball got stuck in the banged up scoop so we were done because the bartender couldn’t pop the glass.

Just put mine on today. No damage or wear under my unmylared side scoop at all after 250 + plays.

I really like the way the ninja protector lays flush.
Biggest issue I had was the back post. Needed to get an even longer 3/8” deep socket to get it loose.

#4444 1 year ago

Just received my Premium Rush. Out of the box- no issues except bubble level, which worked correctly after one twist.

This game is... GREAT.

I have played this two nights in a row for 3 hours at a time with pinball buddies. We had the rule sheet out and there's so much to explore and do. The shots are challenging, fun, and makeable. This is not an easy game in my view, but that's what makes it so wonderful. The code is really top-notch.

On one of my soft shots (?soft plunge), the ball was stuck on a ledge that required a really good shake. Even with my generous tilt bob adjustment, I was given two fair warnings. I was not able to replicate this.

For Rush fans, this is a grail table. For all other pinball players, this is also a fabulous table with the shots and code that are just top-notch. Congrats to Stern on this gem.

About half *might* work, but you're missing light blue and the purple is way too light. Also, because RUSH uses milky sort of retro inserts in those areas, it *really sucks* to color match. The milky inserts dull the color effects so something that seems like it would work looks completely wrong when illuminated through the insert.

Today I dove in and installed NinjaCamp's Scoop protector. A little challenge to get it all apart, but not too bad. The protector fit in perfectly! I decided to get some small washers to put on the posts holding down the protector. I could not find clear acrylic like others here have posted, but did find small black fiber 1/4" washers at Home Deport that look and work great to prevent any twisting of the protector at the 3 post sites, instead of the factory metal washers. Pics attached. Thanks @aniraf!! I've only had my machine a few weeks and after a few hundred plays, the cheap Stern protectors were nearly trash as the corners lifted way up.

Busy day here working on Rush
Full cliffy set
Pinwoofer set
Speaker and flipper leds
Clear rubbers.

The Pinwoofer set up rocks. Seriously. It’s also very adjustable to your liking.
Game feels, looks and sounds great.

The photo shows cliffy and sterns fork that I kept on.
