Quoted from jsm174:

TBH, sometimes it won't even make it to the upper flipper. So that's why I figured I would ask.

Oh mine isn't that bad.

#2352 2 years ago
Quoted from Rarehero:

A well designed factory protector is the same thing as a Cliffy. After making a shitty protector & then a temp fix - the next version has to be the last stop on the Protectorgate train. If it sucks, then Cliffy.

I had to replace the Deadpool factory one with a Cliffy because it just took too much of a beating. The one on Rush looks like it takes even more of a beating than Deadpool. But hopefully Stern does it right and gets a solid, lasting fix out the door soon.

Quoted from jsm174:

#352 found its home after a 15 year "dream" theme wait!
(Actually glad it took that long considering all the advances in pinball tech.)
[quoted image]
Quick question if someone can please check and answer. Roughly how far back is the plunger tip from the edge of the auto plunger?
I can't seem to manually plunge the ball with any power. It's bad enough that I've been using the auto plunger all the time.
Compared to Transformers, it seems much further back:
[quoted image]

Every damn time I see a Pin moved to the lift gate from the truck I start to sweat that its going to fall off.....

Quoted from insight75:

Every damn time I see a Pin moved to the lift gate from the truck I start to sweat that its going to fall off.....

Same! Especially when the move puts the wheels over the edge to bottom out the hand truck so it won't move. I was almost ready to catch it.

#2355 2 years ago
Quoted from usafstars:

Measured mine and it's .47" from tip to auto launch forks and it fully plunges to the upper most of the playfield. Does yours have the green spring?
Hope that helps some.

Thanks @usafstars. I just checked and mine and the tip of the plunger to the tip of the auto launch forks is about 15/32". So pretty much the same. It has the green spring as well. I appreciate you checking!

Want to have some real fun ? Wax your Rush then play it on factory flipper settings lmfao!

#2360 2 years ago

We have to figure something out with the VUK. Two balls get stuck all the time. Eventually the machine stops trying to free it after 1-2 dozen attempts.

This happens every game. Eventually when going thru ball search, they'll get freed. Doesn't help on such a Multiball heavy pin.

Your distributor gave you a build date of April and it arrived in March? Did you know it was coming that quick or did it just arrive out of the blue? Open it up...maybe you got an LE by mistake, lol.

That would be nice. No it's a Premium. I think Stern is trying to "catch up". I'm happy so far!

Do the LEs come with an External Volume Control/Headphone Jack? It appears not, but can anyone with an LE pls confirm?

#2364 2 years ago
Quoted from Craziestsinge:

I've noticed the same thing. The tip of the plunger seems very far back and you need to pull-back far in order to get the ball enough momentum to make it to the playfield. Either the plunger is too short, or the rubber tip doesn't extend far enough (Double entendre not intended!) .

You can change the barrel spring on the outside to a shorter one to give the plunger more length inside.

Quoted from Animal:

They do not.

Quoted from swampfire:

I’m guessing that the Louisville show this weekend will be the first time we see a Rush on free play for 30 solid hours. I’m expecting 700-1000 plays on my Premium, and I’m planning to do all of these things to prevent scoop damage:
1 - use strapping tape to secure the protectors to the bottom of the playfield
2 - mylar under the scoop protectors (and possibly over)
3 - set MB difficulty to Medium
4 - enable the ball lock
5 - lower power to scoop kickouts and lower flippers
I’ve generally had good luck bringing my games to SFGE, with no real damage to 30+ games in 6 years. Hopefully the pingods will be looking out for me.

Is anyone else having issues with the left loop not registering. I have seen the magnet sensor fix. Is there anything else people recommend. Now that I am learning how to play more that shot needs to register lol.

#2371 2 years ago

my left mini orbit sometimes doesn't register the shot. Prob due to the fact that they ball is flying so fast around the turn it misses the sensor...

Those Time Machine Upgrades sound pretty neat!

Quoted from SonicZone:

- Extra Ball:
- Added another Light Extra Ball ramp award at 68 ramp shots.

1968 is when the first version of the band was formed (Lifeson/Rutsey/Jones, then very quickly Lifeson/Rutsey/Geddy) - I love little references like that!

#2378 2 years ago

Additional speech added! Yaaaaas!

Well they might as well have made it 1968 ramp shots for as often as I'm going to get that second ball.

#2380 2 years ago

Happy new code released already!

Couple things …
I opened up left lane one notch and makes a difference during game play for sure
While in the middle Of doing the same to the right out lane I realized how much work it was going to take and I bailed.
You pretty much have to remove the whole plastic ramp and red lighting or you’ll pull the wires out.
Another thing I noticed was the left Target on the metal ramp to the right was leaning to the left from fall hitting it a lot.
This would interfere when the ball would Come back down through the spinner Lane and bump it out
At first I thought this was a nice feature and they had something up there so it didn’t drain down the middle but it was the target
Leaning to the left.
You can tighten two nuts under the playfield
After straightening it

Get a download manager. Makes multiple connections, letting you download a file 3-5x faster. It also resumes interrupted downloads where you left off.

For me it was at 5% after about 30 minutes. Game is close to wifi router. All other devices speed test plenty fast. Just usb updated. No big deal. Glad it is speedy for the rest of you.

Thanks. I was able to reapply the sticker but have noticed the target is already shifting back towards the spinner side. The screw on the underside of the PF is challenging to tighten due to the wires being plugged in above it. I am always hesitant to remove those white connector plugs as they don’t feel too idiot proof.
