Quoted from kool1:

there have been zero quality issues with my Rush pin.

I'm having some of the individual expression lighting led "windows" on the left side locking on to a certain color. I'm still working through connectors and such to see what might be causing it.

EDIT: Now right side out, left side locked on one color. Opening and closing coin door reset it. We'll see how long before it locks on again...

Quoted from PinMonk:

Boo. Have to deal with hazed up residue that you wipe off before polishing, which I hate in a pinball machine playfield. End up with hazy wax crap in your star post bases, etc. P21S has spoiled me.

Rush playfield protectors on sale. 100 EUR. How hard do you think it would be to install? I love the one on my averengers.

Pinmonk's light gels installed last night. a nice touch.. not as impactful as on iron maiden since the planets are so small, but a simple install.

I'm not a fan of whole playfield protectors.

Thanks for the mention! Basically they're just there so you have a clue what songs go to what colors on the RGB record shots up the playfield. I have no idea why Stern didn't make those inserts colored or the lighting for those inserts RGB. One or the other, but not neither! It makes that aspect of the game extra-confusing without those inserts colored.

agreed plays like a full mylar or hard top, just not the same.

- why not wrap the entire cab in cellophane to prevent finger prints too.

yeah after long enough with the game I never look there as a player, but I can see how it would help people understand the records when first introduced to the game.

Print a L and R or something on them... even though I LOOKED! I still put the two floaters on backwards the first time. Dumbass me

I'll look into maybe an arrow or something. The border of those is a small surface, so not sure what can be done, but I'll look into it. There's literally only two ways those can go, and if you get it wrong, a swap and it's right.

How’s the clunk/reject factor in everyone’s right orbit shot? I changed my flipper settings to normal form hard & it helps a bit…but I feel like maybe the ball guide could use some adjustment. Here’s a pic of mine. I circled the “clunk point”. If yours is super smooth, please take a pic so we can compare. I feel like the guide should line up better with the ink line on the playfield.

I like that the chosen song keeps playing on ball 2 & 3 - but a few times I changed the song by accident. So, I saw this setting & switched it to “No”…however, if you do this, the song starts over at the start of each ball. Weird.

I’m gonna chalk that up to a bug.

Got my LE a couple hours ago! #906

Anyone have damage on the sides like this on their machine? I can't unsee them now and just stare at them...

Also had the back bracket issue on the back right bottom leg bolt. Fixed it by trying different angles and it finally went in. Also, a small chip in the wood in the back, but backbox covers it up.

Little stuff? Maybe. I'm grateful to have one and am thankful, and I try to not let it bother me, but this much money on something, I guess, just makes me a cringe a little.

In that last pic you are about to lose the middle screw on the expression lighting insert. I would take care of that so it doesn’t go flying around the playfield.

Edit…or is that an illusion with the art…

Who agrees, this metal plate needs a decal? How about “Enter Xanadu”?

How about replacing the metal plate with a high strength rubber “plate”???? I was hoping that someone would be addressing.

I think this is intentional in order to slow down the ball on the orbit shot from the top flipper so that you can get the flipper on it again for combos.

I just don't like the way they play, the way they haze up and can bubble, and if you keep the playfield waxed, you're fine without them. It reminds me of grandma's couches with the plastic on them.

Rush mat has arrived finally! Not bad for $35.

Quoted from Craziestsinge:

Not the loop to upper flipper. The right shot itself.

Anyway - I fixed it. I removed the nuts to the ball guide under the PF, bent the guide to give it a better curve that matches the shooter exit ramp - and actually got it under the ramp a bit - it was protruding before. Now it’s SMOOOTH. No clunky rejects on right orbit shots.

The Deadpool mat came from Amazon.
It’s not exactly “cushiony” but it looks cool

#364 in the house! Pictures coming after I play it ten more times lol. Great flow, super fast, already changed many of the settings to what has generally been said here. Tons of shots and lanes and ramps, beyond amazing! Sound is much better with Volume up and Attenuation at -20 and haven't changed the EQ yet.

#1683 2 years ago

How come you are posting photos of your house?

#1684 2 years ago

In the house with #768!

Just played a couple of games.
Anyone have an issue with the side scoop eject not ejecting?
Seems like it tries to push the ball to front scoop very weakly and I need a shake to get it there.
Didn't see a side scoop eject yet.

I did xmen, and that one was pretty easy... was a while ago though.

#1686 2 years ago

If you haven't yet, be sure to lay copious amounts of mylar around the dead end saucer, in particular, at ball transition edges. Could see that the clear coat (chipping) death knell was about to ring.

My right scoop protector is starting to bend up pretty badly too. 'Bought time to pull those up and lay mylar wrapped down into scoop, straighten and replace.

Site is totally sketch, 2 months from China.

It's reasonably sturdy but it's not a fatigue mat. I'm very happy thoug, looks legit.

This game is excellent. Love the unique layout and all the upper flipper shots.
A little clunky at the first few goes. Turned down the flipper power, dropped the music attenuation to -10 and turned on the upper scoop ball locks. I’m not sure why those were automatically turned off.
Gotta start learning the rules but the outlanes are kind. I’m losing almost everything down the middle.
The offset is throwing me off a bit but I like that it doesn’t play like anything else I have.

The 20x30 ones at collage.com are only $15 shipping with the free code. They don't cover the price card area, but "good enough" for many, especially at the $15 total price, shipped.

Has anyone had issues with the time machine ramp motor getting really hot? Played about 10 games and the motor is really hot.

Quoted from Craziestsinge:

Try disabling the sound "Filter" in settings. I'm sorry I don't remember off hand what the name of the filter is. Once the filter is disabled, the music and SFX seem to come through louder and clearer.

I’ve dialed in the sound a little bit but does Anyone know what “filter” this post is referring to? I went through all the settings and didn’t see it.

What's the best way to update the code? I'm worried my parents wifi will be shit for their machine.

298 landed today! Awesome service from the guys at Arcade Game Sales of Maryland.
Some data and impressions for folk that still have incoming machines:
Downloading the Update to .89 via wifi took about 40 minutes. Applying the update took another 15. Final update Reboot left machine hung up so she needed a manual power cycle and hasn’t had a hiccup since.
After playing a few games, I realized the spinner had been dislodged the whole time. Reseated the spinner and no issues with it since.
Making the left loop through the jets was initially just impossible for me, and I was missing every shot with the level solidly between the lines. My shots were so bad, I was afraid I was banging up the machine with my bricks so I lowered the power of the two lower flippers to normal. After I did that, all the shots were makeable…and FUN.
This machine…oh man, this machine. I still have NO damn idea what I’m trying to do, but I’m having a hell of a time doing it!

#1699 2 years ago

If someone gets sound that’s real good please post the settings. The more I play with it the more I think it sounds good and then I come back the next day and it sounds like garbage. lol.

they are under the Rush settings. They are near the end, so "go left"... you will have sound attenuation and voice attenuation IIRC.
