What did the update say about when games will ship?

#1866 4 years ago
Quoted from Pubaw:

That podcast dude says right at the 3 minute mark, "I have additional facts and information but I decided not to share it in this podcast".

I thought he did a good job of explaining why he chose not to share some information which has not been independently confirmed. I felt he was trying to be fair and did a pretty good job of doing that.

Hopefully this means that people who have been asking, demanding, and screaming for refunds over several months now will finally get them.

which his attorney said will take 30-60 days

Attorneys say a lot of things.

Quoted from MikeTangoIndia:

A Hitler mobile or Predator Pinball machine??

Don't know about Jay, but I'd LOVE to have the Hitler mobile. Parades and such would be awesome.
Probably have to grow the mustache though.

Predator, eh.......
Maybe get video of them being thrown off a roof.

#10992 2 years ago
Quoted from Magic_Mike:

However, the silence speaks volumes that nobody has any real evidence to convict this man.

Kevin lied. Publicly, consistently, on video, in emails, in forum posts, in interviews, in writing, in person, again and again, over and over.
People who questioned him were vilified, ridiculed, and hounded out of the conversation.
His intent was to act illegally. He got caught.
He MAY have actually believed that he could pull off the build, but that does not mean that he was justified in taking money on false pretense. It also does not mean that he could have built hundreds of games in his basement and delivered them. It also does not mean that Fox would not have otherwise noticed and shut him down before he finished.
The whole thing was based on the lie that he had a valid license agreement.

Quoted from LadySlingshot:

f that mob didn't bang on foxes door, everyone would have their pin.

I give up...............

#11069 2 years ago
Quoted from HappyDayz:

if Kevin knew he had serious license issues at some point

Quoted from multibrawlr:

Fine. I'll explain myself then, I suppose.

Sorry about that. Please understand that this thread has a history of new accounts showing up from previously banned users. I'm sure nothing personal was meant, but there is justified suspicion about any new users showing up here since there has been bad behavior.

Welcome, and thanks for introducing yourself!

(Edit: Is it a bad sign when I begin echoing Whysnow? )

Quoted from DanQverymuch:

KK is the bag, the hose, the nozzle, and the used water!

I believe he was born on a Summer's Eve.

Quoted from DanQverymuch:

I still don't think he went into this with the intention of scamming anyone.

Can we please get past this.
"I have a liscencing agreement with Fox movies to use Predator" was NEVER true. It was always a lie. That makes it a scam. From the beginning.

Quoted from Jvspin:

Actually, looks like he only gave his wife about $43,000. I also wonder where is the rest.

Sort of out of the loop on such things, but how much could a determined stoner spend on really good weed these days?

#11842 2 years ago
Quoted from NoahFentz:

Who pulled $60K out of their rear, anyway?

If I could do that, I wouldn't be here. I'd be out buying stuff with my butt money.

Quoted from Wolfmarsh:

The judge has ordered Kevin to show up at Keith's office on Nov 15th, at 9am for a §2004(b) examination.

Kevin's reply: "Dude! That's opening day of deer season! What the hell, man?"

Would like to be a fly on the wall in that office.

No show for court ordered examination.........
Wonder if instead he went hunting, was high, or both.

#12060 2 years ago
Quoted from Dayhuff:

Where are you getting this information from? I'm not doubting it at all, just curious. I mean I see it in the info above but where and how did you come across it?

All (well, MOST anyway) court proceedings are public documents. There is a system called PACER for access to Michigan court filings. He has subscribed to PACER.

Quoted from Whysnow:

Kevin is the person at fault

Should stop here.
Are you saying that it would be better if Kevin's fraud was not made public? Do you think that would have ended well?

his wife is the one pulling his strings

I'll just leave this here...............

Quoted from OLDPINGUY:

I wonder if the Mrs, still feels its a "Witchhunt", or at what point
the blinders fall off.

There are none so blind as those who will not see. The most deluded people are those who choose to ignore what they already know

Very good summaries.
A couple of minor but important points.
"Skit B" pinball never existed in any form as a business entity. No Inc, no llc, no dba... nothing.
The intent and ability of Kevin to build any significant number of games has been questioned. Those are separate issues from the legal right that he clearly never had.

Quoted from frolic:

It's almost like everyone is asking Kevin for legal advice.

and spelling, apparently.

#14984 2 years ago
Quoted from frolic:

even if it was all pissed away in basically a failed business, he might have been able to walk away from this.

The problem is things like "Bought house in Wife's name" and "Gave Mom an RV" are not business expenses, even in a failed business.

#15003 2 years ago
Quoted from labnip:

Knickerbocker?...... I barely knower.

#15042 2 years ago
Quoted from Nibbles:

Aright, can someone explain this, going totally over my head

Kevin's wife's attorney was Jamie Knickerbocker, until she quit. Just a stupid play on words based on her name. Kind of funny in a silly way.

Edit: Corrected - Thanks Keith!

Quoted from investingdad:

Three feet of standing water in the basement when it rains? Is this house surrounded by a moat? On a lake?

Three feet is likely a significant exaggeration. Many older homes in Michigan were built with basements that were not intended to be used as finished space. Damp with significant water after rains and snowmelt is/was to be expected.
Grew up in a semi-rural area and was surprised to find that people expect basements to be dry. Very few in that area were.
Also makes that space unsuitable for building and storing electronic devices.

Get thee to a nunnery.

Not sure if the Predator saga is more Shakespearean tragedy or Three Stooges episode.

Quoted from Whysnow:

How about some truthful answers from the active MI crew...

I'm in Michigan, and getting pretty sick of seeing you phrase things this way.
I have never seen ANY Predator pinball machine in my life, and do not know where any are.
If you want to accuse people, do it directly and leave the rest of us out of it.

Quoted from frolic:

I suppose a lean could be put on the house or something by the trustee? What else would happen?

Yeah. This is exactly the problem. There is a huge step from getting a judgement and actually collecting on that judgement. Lien might help, might not. A property lien really only comes into play if the owner tries to sell the property. Even then a buyer might not care about clear title, particularly if there is no mortgage lender bank involved.

Quoted from Trekie:

Why didn't Kevin take him to court to recover $$$?

Because he would need to hire an attorney, who would need to be paid.

Quoted from frolic:

All of Kevin's woes have been from the pinball community.

I'd say more "Self Inflicted". But yes, not from Fox.
