I seriously think you're wrong. If you're inferring that the critics somehow take pleasure in SkitB's implosion here- I think you're missing the point.

That's a bold wager given the Euro vs USD. But I love your chances and its Predator by a mile. Winner!

Quoted from T-800:

Just think, if 7 years ago a small run wasnt profitable at $7k a pop

BBB was $4500 from Gene.
Also many of us believe Gene exaggerated his loss and may have really broken even or made a little.

Quoted from epthegeek:

Wonder what Kevin would be up to cost wise if he total up his hours and multiplied by a reasonable wage.

Hey buddy. What are your wages with CCC? Food stamps?

#1728 9 years ago

Predator also has additional flipper buttons to manually operate an up post and I forget the other stuff. And the lack of toys is because it's a players game designed by a passionate tournament competitor.

It's got plenty of flow that's fun to shoot and the sounds are gonna rock. Plus I believe/hope that the software is gonna be killer.

At $4750 I'd say Kevin has passed the savings onto his customers.

Can you guys hold your breath for another few days?

#1729 9 years ago
Quoted from Matt_Rasmussen:

So you can feel free to post your assumptions here and then bash someone else when they post their thoughts on another thread? I'm fine with it, but stop being a dick when other people post their assumptions and feelings.

Please block me on Pinside.

Quoted from Pubaw:

I bailed when he pulled that secret room crap. It was in one of his videos. Remember those? He walked around the shop and showed his computer...showed Arron...then showed the Proc processor on the table....then he kept saying "over there is the secret room. Only Arron, my mom and me get to see in there". I was thinking" wtf, who in the hell does crap like that? You are trying to get orders by faking it...I truly believe that secret room had nothing but a broom and dust pan in it...oh yeah...maybe some spiders too.

You must of been a wreck over the mystery flyer at Expo 2013.

Quoted from PinChili:

Kevin must be sleeping in this morning?? No new email from him yet? I can't believe he wrote last night that "he's still here" and "working through the process". This is clearly someone who does not care about processes much less accountability.

I got that email from Kevin and it was time stamped at 2:35 AM. That tells me he was having a very sleepless night and with a lot more to come.

In my opinion Kevin is scared right now and justifiably so. His actions in the next several days should be interesting.

Quoted from pmWolf:

Holy smokes, be smart man. I don't even want anyone to come close to suggesting this right now.
Do NOT go to his house.
Do NOT suggest others go there. Period.
He knows everyone is super-peeved. He probably feels threatened already, and could be concerned about his safety, or that of his family. If someone shows up unannounced on his doorstep, that's just insanely stupid...no matter WHAT your intentions may be.
Be safe, be smart. YOU may not think it would be "threatening", but I'm not going to assume HE feels the same way.
In short, don't advocate for this kind of behavior. We can't let it happen....and it's not just to protect Kevin, it's to protect everyone.
Pete

Also, jail is just a 9-1-1 phone call away.

Hi all. I dropped out of reading this thread long ago even though I'm financially involved. ($4750.00) (I'm really getting sick of Pinside and all of the useless noise here and in other threads)

Anyway, I hope I'm helpful and not redundant but here's what I just did moments ago.

I called Paypal after getting an online code and phone number from them. I punched the code into the automated message. The first operator I spoke to was helpful and bump me up another level after my explaining the situation. The second operator looked up the Skitb situation and then tracked down my payments. I was then given refund codes.

I quizzed the PayPal operator and she told me they were well aware of the situation. She said Paypal is NOT issuing refunds or even responsible to do so as too much time has passed. She told me Paypal is cooperating with the account individual **at his request** and he alone is responsible for any money being returned.

In other words, when Kevin gets the official accounting from PayPal he will refund the money himself.

The key element PayPal needs along with your account is Kevin's account address which is: [email protected]

I now return you to the shit storm so many of you seem to enjoy.

#6256 8 years ago
Quoted from notaflyingtoy:

Thanks for sharing the info. Kind of ironic you you start the post referencing useless noise then make sure to add a condescending "shit storm" dig at the end of your post.

I like that about me also.

#6260 8 years ago
Quoted from nephasth:

Refund code? What's that?

It's PayPal's record keeping and something I can follow up with if need be.

With the exception of an occasional peek, I'm outta here guys.

#6736 8 years ago
Quoted from vid1900:

I would have WAY rather seen Kevin send these games out under the radar.
Parents would tell their children about the bootleg Predator in the basement, like grandpa used to talk about the secret floor panel in his bootlegging car.

Completely agree and I love your metaphor.

Quoted from vid1900:

Fox did not have even the slightest hint about the game, until it was pointed out to them.

I agree with this also. The vast majority of day to day crime is solved by informants.

What great panache to be out in the open, right under the nose of a large corporation. A few more months and many of us might have had the ultimate bad boy machine in our collection.

Quoted from iceman44:

I think PayPal is going to refund everybody based on the fraud committed. Like I said, I know the process was initiated months ago because I was asked to help with the forensic acctg

Why would PayPal, or anybody involved here, hire you for this? You're a financial advisor... According to your web page you don't list this as one of your services nor do you have a history with forensic accounting.

I'm curious why they sought you.

#9039 8 years ago
Quoted from iceman44:

Nobody was hiring anybody Kim. I was willing to help before it hit the fan. For nothing as usual.

Quoted from iceman44:

Like I said, I know the process was initiated months ago because I was asked to help with the forensic acctg

Well, which is it? Were you asked to help or did you volunteer? Your two responses conflict with one another.

#9040 8 years ago
Quoted from iceman44:

Check my website again pal, I'm a CPA, LAWYER and FINANCIAL ADVISOR.

Umm, yeah, I get it. The bold type really helped...
Every third post on Pinside you brag about your status, so yeah, I get it. - I'm not impressed.

"You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time"
Abraham Lincoln

#9074 8 years ago
Quoted from iceman44:

Let's try and make this a bit clearer for you.
1. I was asked to help by Aaron

Aaron has ZERO to do with operating SkitB. He was a potential vendor and that's it. And yet you claim he was authorized to have you to do a "FORENSIC AUDIT"?

Below is your original quote that began our dialog. - You made it sound like you were working for PayPal or law enforcement and that is what I was questioning.

Quoted from iceman44:

I think PayPal is going to refund everybody based on the fraud committed. Like I said, I know the process was initiated months ago because I was asked to help with the forensic acctg

And your answers since don't parallel that comment at all. Just more smoke and mirrors.

*See Abe Lincoln quote*

#9079 8 years ago
Quoted from iceman44:

Anything else you'd like to know?

Nope, I think that does it. You've sufficiently dug your hole and you seem cozy in it. Congrats.

Just a word of caution and then I'm done. Pinsiders are not as stupid as you treat them. In this thread and many others, people are catching on to how pretentious and deceptive you are. You might want to consider that.

#9169 8 years ago
Quoted from dgoett:

A private facebook is a decent idea.
People would have to send you their pinside name and REAL name to double check in this thread to send invites.

I set up the Facebook group for the Jpop customers and it has surpassed my expectations. I'd guess we are at 75% participation of all owners right now. And today I'm in the process of screening 6 more people after making a post.

But there are complications.

First of all Facebook will give you a choice to make it a Secret group. That mean no one can find it or read it no matter how hard they search. Take that option. After that it's members are accepted by invitation only and you want that control.

To screen people I had them scan a copy of their Jpop contract to my personal email. Pinside doesn't have email attachments. Front page only but it has to show their name. It helps screen out duplicates and scammers. Or the back page of the contract showing a name to mix things up. Some people sent me copies of canceled checks, etc.

I suggest whoever does it to have a trusted co-administrator. You'll get busy. Nosy Pinsiders have tried to scam their way in since day one and still continue to try. Be advised some of the scammers are very clever with the bullshit. And you have to be kind of an asshole about who gets in and who doesn't.

Setting the secret group up took me about 5 minutes and its easy to do. Running the group is another matter. But all of its worth the effort believe me.

Whoever sets it up can call me on the phone and I'll be glad to help in any way I can. I can explain better verbally... Send me a private message.

#9508 8 years ago
Quoted from Warbound:

My friend told me he thinks Kevin's mom took a big chunk of the money to Arizona with her. Like over $100k. I asked him why he thought that. He said he met her at pin expo and she was hyping the pin and factory with tons of BS lies, to the point it made him sick so he walked away within 2 minutes. Soooo, if true call it her paycheck. I don't know since I was not there. I wonder if you guys can hire a detective and see if she made any large bank deposits in the last two years?

Oh my gawd. This is a new low for Pinside connecting the dots. This is the decades most naive and gullible statement. Every word of it.

How old are you?

#9533 8 years ago
Quoted from Trekie:

And what has all this "traffic' rules have to do with the Predator situation?

Kevin now works as an officer for the highway patrol.

(this is no worse then Kevin's mother absconding to AZ with 100K after a "bad vibe" conversation by a friend of a friend).

Quoted from tmontana:

What was the point of posting his name here? Even though you edited it out, it still exists in the replies of others.

His name is Tim Fife and he lives in Michigan as do you. And if you ever read some of the crap he posts on Pinside as Pinchili you might understand why some of us don't care that he's been outed.

#9642 8 years ago
Quoted from PinRebel:

This is disgusting to allow him and his family to be threatened

What the hell are you talking about? I went quite a ways back in this thread...

#9644 8 years ago

Here's his entire quote.

Quoted from PinRebel:

Reading back through the comments here, why is there no moderation of the threats and personal attacks on him especially since he cannot respond? Why is this mob mentality allowed to grow? This is disgusting to allow him and his family to be threatened and if you think your occasional comment that Pinside does not condone threats is enough to relieve you of responsibility I think that is sad.

#9649 8 years ago
Quoted from PinRebel:

Really? Nothing seems threatening to you?

Nah. Nothing threatening in your mind about comments like these I guess? From what he said of the FB messages and threats it is much more disgusting. But those messages can be traced back to right here from where the unwarranted anger and hate was allowed to grow.

LOL. Yeah, my quote was especially threatening.

I'll agree with you on one thing. Pinchili should be allowed to come here and explain himself.

#9654 8 years ago
Quoted from Astropin:

I would not have touched that pin with a 10ft pole.

Thats the key isnt it. He had prior knowledge of legal complications (evidenced by his participation in this thread) and yet it is somehow now in his possession. Thats a legal hot potato folks.

#9663 8 years ago
Quoted from Ballypinball:

So who is the pinsider with the jpop game

The machine that was taken to the NW Pinball show was returned to Jpop shorty after. This despite Pinside accusations and rumors...

#9671 8 years ago
Quoted from playernumber4:

But he got restitution somehow, and nobody else did.

Wrong. Read Pinchili's comments from the thread that Razorbak thoughtfully posted. (I'll quote it as an edit shortly)

Pinchili was NEVER a SkitB customer. His comments going back at least 6 months declare such along with warnings to everyone to stay away from the Predator deal. Even recent comments.

Quoted from playernumber4:

Its doubtful that anything was done illegally on his part.

This is yet to be determined but at this point I wholeheartedly disagree. And the question of morality remains also.

#9672 8 years ago
Quoted from Razorbak86:

It's interesting to go back and read PinChili's posts on this very thread. Suffice it to say that he was highly critical about the illegal nature of Kevin's project because of the unlicensed IP.
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/the-official-pinside-skit-b-predator-discussion?tq&tu=PinChili

#9697 8 years ago

Haymaker makes some valid points in my opinion. And well presented also. But I still believe that Pinchili will be subpoenaed and have to explain in court the who, what, where, when, how and why. And if Kevin is found by the courts to be hiding assets or manipulating evidence or whatever, he's screwed. And Pinchili could very well be dragged down with him. At a minimum he will have to hire a lawyer, spend time in court, depositions and he may ultimately have to forfeit the machine.

It was foolish of him to have acquired that machine under any circumstances. Doubly stupid to be so public about it.

I'm not a lawyer and this is speculation on my part so take it with a grain of salt. I also am not one of the "butthurt" as I was refunded my money long ago.

I look forward to Pinchili explaining everything here soon. And he should be given a fair chance to explain and be heard. But will he is the question.

#9700 8 years ago

PinRebel

Please re-read what I wrote. I make no mention of copyright or IP.
Kevin is being sued by 15 or 16 people I'm told.... That means his conduct is under court scrutiny and Pinchili could be dragged in.

Take a deep breath.

#9722 8 years ago
Quoted from Enaud:

I sued Kevin in small claims court back in May. I won. <snip> He shafted me and is in contempt of court. I'm a judgment creditor and Kevin owes me. He's hidden his money and it's up to me (and Keith's working on the same type of stuff for his clients) to find it.

Bingo. Kevin is due back in court on at least two more issues here. (The judgment and lawsuit) He goes to court and points the finger at Tim (Pinchili) when explaining SkitB assets and activities.

Better lawyer up Pinchili. FYI: There is no ignorance of the law defense.

#9725 8 years ago
Quoted from Warbound:

many folks would say stealing 5 blank sheets of paper from your employer for a home printer is no big deal...it is ok, not really illegal since you work there.

Its called employee theft and it is illegal.

Quoted from flynnibus:

Selling personal assets isn't illegal. If you give your neighbor $20 for beer... and he sells his car... you don't get to claim his car if he failed to give you any beer. Kevin's assets aren't under seizure or been frozen. He can buy/sell/travel as he wants. The most he has against him right now are small claims judgements. Which he can obviously claim he needs to raise capital for. Until there are actions to force collection or force liquidation... kevin just owes money.
Worst case is someone will interview pinchilli where he got the game, from who, and what he paid. Court and dispositions only come into play when someone wants to get the dirt in front of the jury. If the guy just bought the game from someone... there is nothing to tell, and you don't bring things without any purpose into the courtroom.

Good points, Flynnibus. Thank you. It will be interesting to see how the active lawsuit plays out.

#9760 8 years ago
Quoted from PinRebel:

I spend half my time contracting to Ford in Dearborn Michigan which is where I met Tim some time ago.

I compliment you on defending your friend. You know him under different circumstances.

But as Pinchili, Tim has gone out of his way to be insulting to many members on Pinside including myself. And the insults he has posted have been completely unnecessary and way out of bounds. For many people here, your friend is a troll and keyboard commando. Currently his account is frozen by the moderators and for good reason.

I have to admit my accelerated participation in this thread is because I was glad he was in trouble. - That's an issue I'll need to evaluate myself on...

Hopefully now that hes been outed as Tim Fife he'll take it down a notch.

I must comment.
Today, based upon things I have reviewed today (in my office -- not on Pinside, and certainly not as an affront to anyone on Pinside), I have had to redefine in my small little noggin', the definition of stupidity. I am actually beside myself and have had to look at what I received a few times, thinking that maybe I slipped into a really bad episode of the Twilight Zone or The Outer Limits.
I am quite beside myself but then again, I suppose my profession relies on the stupidity of people.

Personally I'm waiting for Pinchili to get out of Moderator jail so he can post his explanation of how he came into possession of the Predator machine. I'd rather not hear any more from his fake alias, PinRebel.... And with more than two weeks of waiting now, he certainly has had a lot of time to prepare a statement.

And he owes Pinside an explanation in my opinion, especially if he's as innocent as he claims. That said, I'm not holding my breath.

Here's the question another time if you'd like to play again.

Quoted from Wolfmarsh:

How many Predators are in existence that aren't "Kevin made"?

That system is already in use by Pinside. It's called, Kaneda Obsession Syndrome.

Honestly the page seems legit for her buisiness. You're not missing much other than a bunch of land whales in lingerie and girly talk. Here's a couple screen grabs.

I really don't think its appropriate to drag innocent people into this especially posting their pictures and calling them derogatory names.

Yes.., that you exaggerate and make shit up all the time to "flavor" your posts. Subconscious or intentional ... no one can take your posts at face value.

Agreed, Flynnibus.

Like it or not Whysnow, this is your reputation among many on Pinside and not just in this thread. Its especially irritating when you butt into other people's business with your suspicious exaggerations and false statements.
I'm doubtful of most every comment you post on Pinside now. You've earned my distrust, Hilton, and your reputation is growing.

And please don't try to distract from this as a Flynnibus or Mr. 68 issue. I've seen you warned in various ways by many different Pinsiders and you still don't get it. I hope you do get it someday but you seem incapable so far.

honestly, never seen a guy send 5 different PMs to lecture someone that they are putting him on ignore and then not ignoring them. Just plain odd.

I'm just waiting for the Judge to bring the hammer down. He's been far to easy on them thus far.

Respectfully disagree about the judge being too lenient. I know everybody wants justice in this case yesterday. Me too. But there is a process that needs to play out.

I find this judge superb in his giving the Kulek's all of the rope they need to hang themselves.

Quoted from Whysnow:

someone in MI should reach out to make contact and get details about buying something.
basically figure out if this is really them or just a coincidence of sorts (lots of photo equipment out there and lots of people looking for pinball)

Quoted from Whysnow:

100% agree, but the best evidence would be someone arranging and documenting the purchase of something. If this really is Kevin/Kulecks and someone makes a purchase then I will reimburse for the piece of equipment you buy
message me to let me know in advance.

I would suggest you guys let the attorney and courts handle this rather than risk harassing a possible innocent person. And being manipulated by Hilton to do dirty deeds would be embarrassing in itself.

I suggest you take screen shots of the CL ad, forward it to the attorney and let him handle this in an open and proper way. Much less complex to do and without devious intent.

Long ago someone in this thread was encouraging others to trespass on Kevin's property to confront him which would have been a serious crime. My suggestion is you leave things like this to the pro's and not bumbling amateurs.

#15856 6 years ago
Quoted from Whysnow:

there is zero harm in someone reaching out to inquire about buying something from a clist advert.
My suggestion is Kim has zero part in the ongoing legal proceedings and in fact would like to see me hurt so badly that he would be fine with the Kuleks running off with everyones funds and selling off any assets under the table for cash on a clist ad.
He has ZERO clue as to what has gone into the fight to recover the assest for all people screwed by this sham and it is pathetic that he is even here commenting at all.
There is nothing illeagal or unethical about emailing to see about purchasing some camera equipment.
Sorry but anyone in central MI selling camera equipment on Clist and requesting pinball machine in trade is worth a minor amount of further investiagtion just for the outside chance they are affiliated with this entire mess.
If it is not affiliated then, oh darn a bunk clist buyer disappears.
Even his insinuation that sending an email to inquire about purchase is 'harrasment' is preposterous.
a few other points:
1. Of course things are already sent to the correct people
2. He has no idea what the courts or attourney can legally do
3. He does not even understand what manipulation is.
4. I have always suggested staying within ALL legal bounds while trying to pin everyone involved to the legal floor. It would be very stupid to give them any ammo, esp since they cry poor me at every possible chance.

Most of you are familiar with the expression, "Going Hilton" or "Dude, stop going all Hilton on me". Its a badge of honor for many of us to be attacked by him so I thought I'd quote his post for historical and educational purposes.

#15872 6 years ago
Quoted from DanQverymuch:

Hilton is passionate about pinball and has the guts to say what's on his mind, even when he might be wrong. He's also quick to volunteer his time, knowledge and energy to anything pinball, charity, or both!
It's dangerous to put yourself out there sometimes; when it turns out to be an error, around here you're damned if you apologize and damned if you don't.
The world needs more Hiltons, and less bitching. Cast the first stone and all that.

He does have his positive attributes I whole heartily agree. But he also represents everything that is wrong about Pinside with his continually disturbing behavior.
Are you suggesting he be allowed to abuse many of us individually and collectively because he once ran a charity event? I think not. We are all judged on balance.

Don't take my word for it, go to his Forum Profile and read his stats. He has been moderated 54 times. 54 times! Then compare that to your own stats and think about it. Feel free to check my stats also for comparison. I've been moderated twice and I've ruffled more than few feathers around here.

Is it all of us or does he play a roll somehow.

It's funny. I quit this thread about 1,800 comments and over 7 months ago. I only recently returned to get caught up and I was going to post asking for an update.

And that was roughly what? 5,000 posts and 15 months after you never believed the Kevin has a "pot-o-gold" hiding full of cash to pay everyone back?

I'm not sure what your meaning is in that comment...

But I can tell you that I dropped out sometime after my credit card company refunded my SkitB money and I got tired of reading Hilton's amature legal opinions and his pursuing wild goose chases. Last one I saw was when he was playing detective with an innocent Craigslist advertiser.

Quoted from CNKay:

This thread is so boring now that Keith has no presence. What happened, why wouldn't he want to keep us informed on our wonderful legal system?
And that judge, I was so sure he would be totally fair to everyone involved.
Mr Frank give up??

If no one minds, I'll make a guess as to why Keith disappeared.

Long ago, I remember Kevin complaining in a proceeding, about a hysterical internet continually being whipped up against him and he feeling intimidated. And I don't blame him for being scared given some of the over the top things I read here, especially in the beginning. My memory is sometimes poor but I seem to recall someone in this thread encouraging others to go to Kevin's home and make demands. A totally mornic suggestion.

So it wouldn't surprise me if the defense attorney made a complaint that Keith was brazenly posting on the open internet about an ongoing case.

Don't misunderstand me, I enjoyed reading the updates from Keith but I also found much of it unusual and I was stunned that he was doing it at all. Even plaintiffs are advised by a good attorney not to talk about a case.

But if Mr. Wolfmarsh would be so kind as to post open public records, that would be peachy.

Like listening to those juicy court hearings? Like the Phoenix Wright/Ace Attorney games? You're welcome. Watch with headphones at 1080p 60fps.

I listened to part one and that is great. Even though I'd heard the recording before, the visual really helped (and amused) me. I'll listen to part two when I have more time. But thanks for the effort in composing and posting this.

Does anyone have an update or know the present status on this case? My curiosity has been riled up again. Hilton? Anyone?

#18278 4 years ago
Quoted from Dayhuff:

Nothing new that I know of. These two hearings were from 2 1/2 years ago.

After listening to the second recording/video, it wasn't going good for Kevin and the judge sounded motivated to wrap things up. Something must have happened in the past two years or so on this.

Anyone?

My memory is a bit sketchy but didn't he also vouch for the Hollywood license agreement as being real?
Please correct me if it was someone else.

#18428 3 years ago
Quoted from Haymaker:

In his defense, he did explain that he was duped by Kevin and truly believed that the license was legit. Take that for what you will, but Paul has never really been a bad guy (except for a while in this thread) and continues to operate a well loved and legitimate business to this day.

That was always my sense of the guy even as things went south. I'm glad he's doing well.
