I'm pretty sure that's a run-on sentence.

Edit: Also, I don't think it's great idea to get too involved in this. They probably already have the pity of the court due to this flood.

Man this thread just gets better and better

Wait...the justification for theft is...you victims are only out $2000?

And she just acknowledged that?

Also, didn't she testify she knew nothing about the business?

Ok...

"$2000 is not even close to the $4750 you embezzled from me and people donating should know somewhere under all that water there's money buried"

Sadly, in this world it rains on the just and the unjust alike. I imagine their neighbors that weren't running Ponzi schemes are equally soggy today.

Ok...

They will now claim thousands upon thousands of dollars in parts just washed away.

She doesn't get it. The prepayers are mad at her. She was part of it. She got the money to buy her house that was put in her name from us. ZERO "refunds" were processed from what I've seen, she is simply lying. Kevin's original lawyer sent me a letter saying refunds would be coming soon and to be patient but the accounting was complex and causing a delay (or something along those lines)...of course no refunds actually ever came and my next correspondence from them was the bankruptcy notice.

I'd love to see them name just one person they refunded...just one...and show us how they selected the person to receive the refund. I wonder if the few credit card companies that faced chargebacks got "refunded" in her eyes in some way. Newsflash: a credit card chargeback after you refuse to refund a customer is not a refund...it's a chargeback...and sadly too many people sent them checks or the time to file a chargeback lapsed due to Kevin hiding the issues.

#16359 2 years ago

Wow. I can't even translate this:

many people got refunded all the rest is in bucking parts and pinball places and all the other s**

You lost your house to a flood that was knowingly on a floodplain.

Many people lost upwards of $5000 but they didn't have the benefit of knowing they were buying into a fraudplain.

#16361 2 years ago

Why did she feel the need to censor the swearing?

Apparently, Pinside is now an "adult website." We can handle it.

#16362 2 years ago

Has anyone reported the fund raiser to youcaring?

12
#16363 2 years ago

Complaining that your house was flooded in a floodplain is like taking a nap in an intersection and then complaining you got run over by a car.

#16365 2 years ago
Quoted from ForceFlow:

Has anyone reported the fund raiser to youcaring?

I hope people are. Regardless of their current issue, this is still a scamming family looking for a handout and the fundraiser should be shut down. They have admitted to fraud under oath and from what I see youcaring does not like to support in this case.

#16366 2 years ago

i hate to say this but if fema gets involved they will get a big check from fema - if there was a mortgage they would put the mortgage name on the check also - so keith might want to look into filing something on the deed if he has a court action that they pay 30k - then the check will be made out to both the crooks and whatever he puts in the record.

i have dealt with FEMA and they do give big checks if they get involved.

their checks are usually a lot more then what is actually need to rebuild because they use a formula with crazy so called average rates for repairs.

thanks ed

Just so people know how to report and what it entails.

Instead of calling us names a little humility and acceptance of fault along with an apology from them would go a long way. The behavior they show to us and the victim blaming is infuriating. We don't want to hear the "middle truth" (as Kevin calls it) we want to know where all the money went and why no refunds (based on what we've seen) were processed. If Kevin went and gambled it away at the casino I'd like them to say that so I know it's not stuffed under their mattress (we all believe they still have cash, they need to explain to us why they don't).

We know he didn't have all the parts for 200 machines...how was he going to pay for the other 190 more cabinets? What happened to the other 10 cabinets? How many games has he built and sold after the project collapsed out of the parts he had?

No it wouldn't. Well it wouldn't stop people form commenting on their pages anyway.

I remember wondering why they were still going to shows when more than 150 preorders were already paid for. It might've even been above 200. Just start building them and people would buy in. Little did I know there were parties and shit. Living the high life.

Think R&D could never get past 90% and dude realized he spent too much money. Money for the rest of the machines were likely going to come from EoD, although nobody was going to buy that piece of shit. At least not until they proved they could build the first machine.

Not going to do any good. The Kuleks have not been convicted of anything.

The machines were pre-ordered but there were varying levels of deposits made. I figured he had to keep going to shows and showing progress to generate hype and get people to send the next level of payments in.

appears the goal was now switched form $5000 to only $250. Seems they realized this avenue was not going to net them 5k since people started posting about their precious scamming ways and they decided to edit the goal so they could walk with the $285 already raised.

* Stay out of the water. Rainwater is considered contaminated with fertilizer and manure
* Contact insurance company immediately so they can come and assess the situation. Basements are in flood zones, so some residences don't have flood insurance
* With impacted basements, if a furnace or water heater has been touched by water, make sure to contact a licensed contractor to inspect it before relighting the pilot

#16377 2 years ago

The house flooded last year.

It will food next year, too.

The only thing they could inexpensively do to save the house is to make the basement taller.

(same thing people do to make their 6' basement ceilings 9' like a normal room)

Each cinder block costs $1, and the bricklayer that lays them gets $1 a block (he may earn less in a backwater town).

Each cinder block is 8x8x16", so a few courses of block latter, the house is above the historical high water mark.

The basement will still flood every year, but at least the house will stay dry.

I'm sure Amanda did...with the links posted, she likely didn't want all her friends learning the truth.

#16382 2 years ago

why is it if it they were selling drugs all assets would be immediately seized but since it was just outright fraud/theft almost nothing happens. Their was no official company or taxes and they did not have a license to make the product. Should not all assets be seized? Who cares if the family is impacted what does that have to do with anything.

That's a political answer involving "war on drugs" so let's just leave it at that.

I wonder if Wet Willy is riding the waters past the Kulek residence today.

If you thought Amanda Kulek's voice sounded hysterical last time she was in front of the judge, the new flood drama will raise it to the point that only dogs will be able to hear it.

Quoted from TigerLaw:

we all believe they still have cash

Do you really believe there is still cash hidden some place? I'm far more inclined to believe it has all been dispersed, between the house, the trailer, arcade equipment, laptops for the kids, food, utilities, camera equipment, vacations, funneled to other people, etc.

While there may be some assets around that have value and can be recouped, hard to see a ton of cash sitting some place. The Kulek's don't exactly strike me as folks who would take spare cash and save it, more of the 'money burning a hole in their pocket' kind of folks.

You left casinos and strip clubs off your list of ordinary business expenses. But I guess "etc." covers a fair amount of ground.

#16394 2 years ago
Quoted from rosh:

Do you real believe there is still cash hidden some place?

Yes, there is.

Despite what some want you to think, there is for sure both recoverable assets and actual money left to possibly be recovered.

Granted I think the Paul Malitich payments are the most readily recoverable. I mean the guy still has some amount of assests and is a business. We know he took over 100k in multiple payments and only delivered 10 cabinets. Guessing that will be the largest single amount of recovery and collection.

Either way, I am personally relishing that this family has a flooded house, flooded trailer, and were too damn stupid to even move some of these assets when the storms started coming. The thought of them having a trashed house that she will still be on the hook for is even better.

I think I will start doing another rain dance later this week

Honestly, I have no idea. That's why I want them to tell us what happened to the money. If they blew it at a casino or on hookers and blow then its gone, but I want to hear them say it. Until they break down where the money went (because I'm certain none went to "refunds", at least not to any of us Pinsiders...that we've hear anyway) I'm going to assume they are still sitting on a big pile of cash.

They need to map out what happened to it or I will assume they are still sitting on it. If they disbursed it to other family members or friends then - fair enough - just say to who, when and how much so we can recover it from them and stop lying about it. It's their constant non-stop lying and victim blaming that bothers me.

That's NOT money in Kulek's possession. Everything that Kevin had, unless a physical asset, is gone to another party, casino, trailer, boat house, stripper, Mom, the kids, the dog, and so on.

#16398 2 years ago

The next court hearing will be interesting.

As for the house, it's on a flood meadow and will flood every year. Only a true dullard would be surprised and shocked by this.

Justice is being served currently. Eat it, Kulek (alleged) criminals.

I wonder if the value of the home, is based on land value, rather than the home. It strikes me odd, that a house would be valued around $30K. If that is the case, a bank still might set up a mortgage if the land is worth that much.

Because if your land is 10' under water your well does not tend to go dry?

Alright, this Dutchman don't float is pretty funny.
