Ok folks, let's get off the firearms topic since it's unrelated here and can quickly detour into politics.

Also, people are ascared of firearms!

More of an order than a comment?

Oops, that was supposed to be a ! not a ? ...... no wonder I got all the thumbs down!

Just sitting here reading my favorite forum thinking of Keith's fine work.

There are some other guys in a different thread that may need some help.

I agree!

So I was wondering from someone who has legal experience. Is the radio silence now because talking about it might jeopardize the case?

Not necessarily. There could just be a scheduled court date and not much would be entered into the record until then.

But wasn't Kevin suppose to show up somewhere (on March 17th?) and we don't know if he did??

safe to assume he did... otherwise I am pretty sure the Marshalls would have picked him up and we would hear about that?

Ok thanks, I guess we'll just have to stay tuned.....

I stopped posting every time I check PACER, but this morning's check turned up nothing new.

As others have said we would know if he didn't show up by now, so I'm purely guessing that Keith has a ton of data to compile and that takes time.

That's as good as money sir. Those are IOUs. Go ahead and add it up. Every cent is accounted for. Look. See this. That's a car. Two hundred and seventy five thou. Might want to hang on to that one.

This might be a silly question - but there is just so much history to read through in this thread and none of my searches have helped.

Was this machine ever produced, even in limited numbers? I had not followed this, but a family member of mine was recently in Australia and swears she saw a Predator themed pinball machine on location. This really confused me, as I had always assumed this to have not made it to production. I can't find any information and I'd really like to know if it's possible that was the case or if she is just going crazy.

Highly unlikely she saw a "Predator" pinball machine in Australia anywhere. Is she a "pinball person" - in other words someone who would pay close attention to a machine?

I would think she might have seen a Stern "Walking Dead" or even an old Bally "Space Invaders" or a Hankin "The Empire Strikes Back". It is highly unlikely the last two would be on site, but you never know? To the untrained observer it is possible that one of those machines could be misinterpreted as a Predator if pushed.

In any case I would almost bet good money that there is no Predator pinball machine in Australia and I'll go further and say that even if by some strange occurrence there WAS one, you certainly are not going to see it on site or even public display ANYWHERE, let alone in Australia.

#14820 2 years ago

Yes, from what I understand a few prototypes were produced and reportedly operated on location. It wouldn't surprise me if some got overseas.

Do you know where the supposed game was seen? A theater or some similar place?

#14821 2 years ago

Is Keith licensed to practice in Kosovo?

Trust me man, I am just as skeptical as you are - she isn't on our level of being a "pinball person" but she knows her way around a cab and has been playing them longer than I have. When I pressed her for more details though it sounded like she might have gotten it confused with Last Action Hero.

I've shot an email off to the hotel she saw it at (Sun City Mantra Hotel in Gold Coast) just to see if they can take a picture of the machine.

#14823 2 years ago

Whether there is one there or not, by this point some believe there is, because it has qualified as an Alternative Fact by simply being talked about as though it were true!

I googled the hotel for pics and found these "NO PREDATOR", but of course I dont know how old these pics are. They do have a few pinball machines.

Is this the same Keith that's taking care of the legal push? If so... this is pretty amusing, if not a bit ironic!

Yeah.....I don't get it either? It's just an add for a super nice pinball machine.

Started drinking a little early today huh

#14830 2 years ago

Yeah... that's a fairly epic pinside fail.

Too many charlatans getting sued in this hobby... can't keep'm straight!

#14831 2 years ago

It's probably the same Keith, and one would assume he's allowed to sell his nice pinball machine

#14832 2 years ago

Yeah he is selling a whole slew of super mint pinballs right now. Wish I had the coin to grab one or 2. Unfortunately, I chose engineering instead of law...

Probably because this legal battle is dragging on forever and Keith needs to get some cash flowing somehow since he's racked up a zillion hours on this case and hasn't hardly gotten anything in return to speak of.

Keith N is involved in the Predator case, not the JPOP case. And he's posted several games for sale as of late..

Nice machine, but I think it needs a few more adornments.

#14840 2 years ago

After seeing the lambo pictures, I had to just ask...is getting a law degree still worth it? I've hear yes/no depending on which attorney you ask.

Quoted from NintenBear:

Their answers depend if they own a Lambo or not I'm guessing.. I'm sure there are plenty of lawyers out there without Lambo's though.

However, if you're looking at a potential career based on what toys you get out of it it's probably not the right career... if you don't love it, no matter how many Lambo's, it's not worth it in my mind.

(Disclosure, I'm not a lawyer, nor do I want/own a Lambo... but I love my job and drive my dream car - win:win)

Don't you mean accoutrements

#14843 2 years ago

I know some lawyers that cannot afford even an old routed game. It depends on how hard you work, your creative abilities, keeping your reputation unsullied, having an open mind, and sometimes just being in the right place at the right time.

At my height, I can't fit inside of a Lambo, and I've tried once when I had the chance lol. Honestly, it's a career I've thought about often to the point that I took the LSAT and applied/accepted to a few schools. What's kept me out of going has been cost/marriage/ and not wanting to take on a whole lot of school debt if I can't bring the bread home. Plus the attorneys that have been pessimistic about it, and they were working for the states attorney office.

#14845 2 years ago

I'm a homeschool Dad and my wife is a CEO (of a mental health hosptial, don't get excited). My path has its own challenges, but it's pretty great. Since my dream car is a Mazda Miata RF all things are possible. The world is what you make of it.

#14846 2 years ago

After everything Keith has done, I'm glad he has things like the lambo. He deserves it.

Outside of taking every Kulek "house" in existence, my only other guilty pleasure in this would being able to drive said 'lambo' for a quick circuit ... honestly though, I would settle for a co-pilot seat just to hear that harmonious engine music.

#14847 2 years ago

Anybody get an update from him?

They have places where you can "rent" a Lamborghini and drive it on a racetrack. I did it a couple years ago.....but I chose to drive a Ferrari 458.....it was amazing.
