Is it too late to get in on a Predator pre-order? I love the theme! Will someone sell me their spot?

#14402 2 years ago
Quoted from TRAMD:

I'm wondering if it's too late for me to make the same joke

Quoted from robertmee:

So frustrating listening to the audio...how many opportunities is this douche going to get to drag this out. We can already predict he will be a no show on the 17th. I like Keith but I think that was a tactical error not having the 2004 at the courthouse. The immediate threat of jail seems to be the only thing that motivates KK and the judge was all but begging Keith to have it at the court for that reason.

I think having the deposition at the lawyer's office was brilliant. That is probably the last place on the planet Kevin wants to be. He doesn't show and he gets a go to jail card and fraud charges. He'll have an excuse that he didn't feel safe that won't float.

#14404 2 years ago
Quoted from johngravenews:

I actually was sent a shirt. It seemed really it or miss who they were posted out to. Guess that should have been a warning sign. We were betting that he could build 250 pinball machines when in reality he couldn't even cope with posting 50 or so shirts out.

You gotta give it back......

It's always easy to second guess and apologies to Keith for doing so.. I disagree with the above. As someone earlier mentioned the hearing should be in a courtroom. You are wasting another two weeks and at least if it's in a courtroom, the no show or uncooperative behaviour can be dealt with expeditiously by a somewhat sympathetic judge. Maybe there are other tactical reasons that I am not seeing but to this armchair league beagle, it feels like an odd decision.

How much jail time could he get for fraud and other charges?

The end game here is to not allow Kevin's debts to be discharged. I believe Kevin is well on his way to doing just that. Keith is just helping him sink his own ship.

Quoted from JonH123:

Jail time is just the icing on the cake.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bankruptcy_discharge

"A discharge of debts is granted to debtors but can be denied or revoked by the court based on certain misconduct of debtors, including fraudulent actions or failure of a debtor to disclose all assets during a bankruptcy case."

Send me $2500 and I'll reluctantly relinquish my spot...
I'd do it quick as you'll get a better deal on the exchange rate

Kevin signed a Stipulation, drafted by the Office of the US Trustee, waiving his right to have the debt discharged over a month ago...

https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/the-official-pinside-skit-b-predator-discussion/page/270#post-3566708

Th judge issued an order denying a discharge shortly thereafter.

Oh no! Did someone already think of that? No way.

Somebody please get footage of Kevin near the end of this thing with a good line or two from him...

Quoted from HighProtein:

Fairly certain he's been doing a good line or two from the first day money started rolling in.

Quoted from Superchicken:

Judge basically said he was going to throw Kevin in jail if they had it at the courthouse.

#14416 2 years ago

Given that at the last hearing Kevin claimed he had ZERO business records, I'd say some jail time would have been a cert.

#14417 2 years ago

Time to buy stock in Schadenfreude Inc, there's going to be a lot of it once Kulek gets incarcerated.

When something crappy happens to you, you'll be able to think hey, at least KK is where he belongs.

#14418 2 years ago

Gave you a thumbs up simply because you used Schadenfreude and knew how to spell it!

#14419 2 years ago

March 18th in Kevin's life, trust me bros, I can see the future

#14420 2 years ago

How do you not have access to an email account, especially one used for business? (unless he used the predator domain for email). Probably should have exported all your emails before you decided to let the domain go.

#14421 2 years ago
Quoted from Pinballs:

What is baffling is that Kevin initiated this voluntary bankruptcy process, but refused to cooperate with it ultimately leading to his arrest, and had inadequate financial records anyway ...

Seems logical to me, Kevin Kulek stole money and doesn't intend to repay his debts, so he chose to file chapter 7. There are many thing Kevin does not understand ... little things like ... honesty, licensing, how to run a business and voluntary bankruptcy. Kevin's dishonest actions and lack of integrity have hurt many people. The wheels of justice turn slowly and things are finally coming around - KK is the victim of his own karma, and many bad choices.

Quoted from toyotaboy:

hint - you don't. That was only his excuse.

#14422 2 years ago

My guess is he "torched" everything (emails bank account etc) around the same time as the website purge or no later than the IP issues becoming public.

Quoted from jeffspinballpalace:

I believe that everything happens for a reason; sometimes the reason is, you're an idiot that made a bad choice.

I go with: Everyone is here for a reason. Sometimes that reason is to serve as an example for others.

#14425 2 years ago

On the radio here not too long ago they ran a story that a local "contractor" was busted taking "deposits" for promised work and ran. He got 30 years, although it was a second offense.

Are you serious, 30 years? No way. Crap in Canada, murderers only get 25.

Yeah well... here in california he will probably be out in 5.

#14429 2 years ago

Yep. Guilty as charged. The red flags went up but i waited too long. That turd stole a lot of money from me but not enough that it will cause a hardship. If it did, that would be a different story. In any case, one way or another that liquid squeeze bag Kevin will get what's coming to him.

He should stock up on packs of smokes for his new cell mate. I hear Bubba likes to cuddle.

#14431 2 years ago

I've been home sick watching tv and saw an interesting show comparing military prison vs civilian prison.
It seems Military prison has very little fighting, forced hard labor (breaking rocks for railroad track beds), and no ass rape.
Civilian prison has lots of fighting,no forced labor and lots of ass rape....

Good thing Kevin isn't military then. Ass rape sounds like justice

I've never actually heard that about Bubba; but then again, Bubba don't get out much.

A default judgement has been entered in the associated case against Paul Maletich/Virtuapin.

They've been ordered to immediately surrender a CNC machine and a large format printer, with a money judgement for $155,000. Whatever the CNC and large format printer get sold for can be applied to that total judgment amount.

It was also ordered that Virtuapin turn over all documentation relating to any transfers between SkitB and Virtuapin.

#14438 2 years ago

As much as I don't think they were completely in the wrong, that's just their fault for not answering the original summons. Huh.

#14440 2 years ago
Quoted from Coyote:

that's just their fault for not answering the original summons.

Also, don't forget they never pressed Kevin hard enough to actually get any evidence of a Predator license.

Hasn't this Virtuapin guy made a few posts in this thread?

Yeah, this was discussed before, I believe. In my work with artists, usually the contract I have to sign with them (the artist; I have *no* artistic ability..) includes a clause saying I'm solely responsible for any lawsuits coming up via lack of copyright ownership, which protects them. I'm very, very surprised they didn't do their homework.

I find it hard to believe he didn't respond to a legal matter and would risk a default judgement like this.

From Kathy Kulek, sure, that's not surprising. But from virtualpin? Something seems odd here.

#14447 2 years ago

Question for you lawyerly types, once a default judgement has been entered like this, is there any way out of it? Is there a way to appeal? Or is it a done deal no matter what and the RV, CNC, and printer are now the property of the trustee? I'm guessing when you don't bother to respond that you severely limit your options.

Agreed. From someone who claimed to be SO innocent, then never answers a subpoena that pertains to his exact claimed innocence, is quite fishy and telling.

I don't know, but I now put Kevin showing up to his court ordered meeting on the 17th at 5 to 1 AGAINST!
