Keith, if the next session is going to be recorded, maybe you could specify a secret word that you can work in to the proceedings for the Pinsiders who will be listening? We've had "accoutrement" and "recalcitrant".

It could be like Pee Wee's secret word! It could also be a good drinking game.

Secret word! (resized).pngSecret word! (resized).png

Quoted from Methos:

That's just pillow talk.

Not pillow talk. Serious stuff. Bankruptcy fraud is serious business. At least in the Eastern District of Michigan.

Quoted from maffewl:

I don't have a stake in this, but am happy that someone is fighting on behalf of those that do.
I noticed that you at one time had a PotC. If you still do, I'd be happy to send you an airball deflector that I created which allows for removal of the giant blocky sneezeguard around the ship and other "accoutrements" - free of charge - just to say thanks for all the other Pinsiders going through this. If interested, send me a PM.

That's very kind of you and I appreciate it greatly. Thank you, sincerely.

As a client of Keith's, I would like to convey extreme appreciation for his superb work and exactitude in this matter. The MP3 may have been heard and not seen, but IMO was a wonderful, appreciated example of justice being seen to be done. For the victims of Kevin around the world, it was most satisfying. Hell, I'm listening again to an MP3 in the car tomorrow

In addition to the free beers at pinball shows, I would like to add free accommodation at my home for whenever Keith is in the UK- really It would be a pleasure and an honour to meet you in person, Sir. Maybe we could have an outing together to the Heighway Pinball factory?

Regarding the next hearing, I reiterate what others have said- we need audio! Audio of Kevin being sent down would be... restorative.

Your request is funny, but has no place in this matter. This is serious shit, it's not some BS frivolous lawsuit or my Cousin Vinny.

#13356 7 years ago

Thank you Keith.

Quoted from Methos:

Not a chance. The trustee would turn the facts over to the federal prosecutor and it's on them to decide if charges will be filed or not... but since you are already pissing in their cherrios... they may be more inclined to press on. Especially in a case like this where things look like they will be very willful and egregious... and a significant amount of money is involved.

I am happy you guys may finally be getting some justice! I sure wish we had some action like this going over in JPOPville.

JPop needs to be forced into Bankruptcy in order to get this kind of action.

#13361 7 years ago

Jpop case has gone very quiet, and Zane needs to kick start it!

Quoted from RobT:

JPop needs to be forced into Bankruptcy in order to get this kind of action.

The requirements for accomplishing that goal are pretty straightforward.

Quoted from Razorbak86:

all it takes to initiate an involuntary petition is at least 3 unsecured creditors collectively owed a little over $14,000 and willing to pay $300+/- filing fee to file the petition

Quoted from KeithinMI:

I have. The US DOJ regularly prosecutes people for bankruptcy fraud. It's a serious felony and comes with real jail time and *big* fines.
correction: **prison** time in a Federal Penetentiary

Well, when you-know-who goes to Napoleon, Ohio for his other legal matter on Thursday, January 26th, maybe he will glance at his possible future home in Milan, Michigan along side US 23. The home of The Ron LeFlore Story. Also it served as a temporary home for John Dillinger's and Baby Face Nelson's wives awhile back.

#13365 7 years ago
Quoted from SirScott:

Oooh. Keith said the "f" word.

Whoa, he might have to surrender the Ruger.

#13366 7 years ago
Quoted from Razorbak86:

At the 30:20 mark of the MP3 file of the hearing, Keith said that a "Mr. Cowley at the US Trustee's Office" is expected to file an Adversary Proceeding ("AP") on this matter next week. Presumably he was referring to Sean Cowley, who is a Trial Attorney working at the US Trustee's office in the Eastern District of Michigan (see the link below), and the AP is being filed on behalf of one or more classes of creditors?

Fun Facts for Debtors to Know:

The US Trustee's Office is a division of the US Department of Justice.

Two of the US Trustee's many specific responsibilities are:

1/ Taking legal action to enforce the requirements of the Bankruptcy Code and to prevent fraud and abuse;

2/ Referring matters for investigation and criminal prosecution when appropriate;

.....Just another round of thanks to Keith!

Its not just your clients you are making happy, but thousands of pinheads that have an interest
and a belief in the hobby and justice.

Ive personally been failed by many legal issues Ive been involved in, but from the sidelines, I cant say Ive ever seen more passionate work done before on behalf of clients!

Thank you!

When Kevin was leaving the courthouse someone overheard him stating he was starting a new business venture.

Did anyone hear anything yet? I am expecting to hear the I-couldn't-get-a-hold-of-my-lawyer excuse in 3....2....1....

When I first saw the Jameson photo the first thing I thought of is all the great memes that could come from it for this.

Everyone acts like he's going to do as told and call today and say he could find his lawyer. Best case scenario he shows up for Friday/Monday hearing and says I couldn't reach my lawyer. Who knows what happens then.

#13386 7 years ago

I know this has been asked a couple of times and I can't seem to find an answer... Is Friday going to be recorded?

#13387 7 years ago
Quoted from PismoArcade:

and posted like the last? unlikely.. since none of the other meetings/sessions have been. The last one only was recorded because Keith wasn't there in person. Presumably because the Marshals didn't check his calendar before deciding to pickup Kevin that day

Would it be worth everyone chipping in $5 to have a videotographer record the entire squirm-o-ramma in court?

I would definitely chip in for that.

Court proceedings are always recorded. Most of the time in bankruptcy matters, they are made part of the docket in the manner this one was.
2004(b) exams are typically done with a court reporter and while recorded to be transcribed, unless the transcript is ordered, it would not typically become public record like the recording of the court proceeding.
Any Court proceeding that may occur on Friday will be recorded and I would surmise, be available on PACER.

I was lazy in what I wrote.. when I said 'recorded' I really meant 'audio file published'. The question is if the audio file is to be made available...

The rest was correct, no?

#13393 7 years ago

Is Keith allowed to record it on his phone then put it online for everyone to hear?

#13394 7 years ago

Remember to keep it cool in here. We are doing a good job so far. Don't worry about the recording. If it happens, it happens.

Just give it a couple days.

PS - I think I enabled downloading on the soundcloud file.

Does anyone remember that video of the outtakes of the guy making the winnebago sales video or the documentary about said video called "Winnebago man"? Whenever the word accouterments comes up thats always what it reminds me of and it immediately put a smile on my face when I heard it in the audio. Here's the video for those who care to see what I'm talking about. Warning NSFW launguage

(4:22 is the accouterments part) I recommend the documentary as well!

Quoted from Haymaker:

My friends and I still say "Will you do me a kindness" and also when leaving a room mumble "You're just gonna fuck it up again."

#13398 7 years ago

I love Winnebago Man.

It's a little know alternative fact that he is Bill Oreilly's dad:
