Quoted from mbaumle:

Nope. Literally just took the footage and uploaded it to youtube. I didn't even edit it. It was just raw camera footage with the tagline of "Man breaks into my house, steals precious belongings."
In hindsight, you're right. It wasn't questionable or a low blow at all. When the police department called me to take it down though, they made it sound like I was breaking some type of law or something, so that's always how I felt about it afterwards.

Maybe you should post it to Youtube again? You know...... as a service to society.

I know zero about the law in Jersey. In my state you would be 100% within your rights to post the video with his name, address and contact information all over it. He couldn't claim defamation as truth is a defense and it doesn't matter if he's convicted of the crime or not, he still stole from you and you have the footage.

It would have been low if you tagged his parents or something like that to embarrass them with the facebook message...but tagging his reputation was more of a community service than anything else.

Quoted from MrBally:

I wonder what would have happened if you told the cops to talk to your Lawyer?

Who knows... The last thing I wanted to do was stir the pot any more than I already thought I did.

Does his wife still have a job? Wasn't she in photography or something?

Yea, I never did anything thing like that. I mentioned his name in the description, but that was it. I didn't mention anything else. In fact, I was very purposeful NOT to mention anyone else in his family since he has really nice kids.

It's been so long, but I think the police mentioned something about the video interfering with the trial or something along those lines? They were just so rigid and terse about it. Knowing absolutely nothing about legal proceedings, or laws regarding these types of things, I simply complied to take the path of least resistance. I planned on putting the video back up after all was said and done, but never got around to it.

Yes. If you want to lose your appetite, head on over to Laume Boudoir. I'd link it but that would benefit her to much. Fae Laume Photography is her also, but possibly easier to absorb.

In a small town, I would worry about retaliation. Anywhere else, that would probably be the end of it.

Sorry, but in my book, this neighbor would have an unfortunate accident. Like mistaking his knee or his hand for a baseball.

#12210 2 years ago

https://www.facebook.com/pg/Laumephotography/reviews/ here is his wife's photography FB page. I'm sure she would appreciate a nice review of her services with the nice camera equipment you all bought her!

Literally my father says the SAME thing! Since we have a no contact order with him, he's not allowed to make any form of communication with us. My dad has said more often than not that he'd love to go and break his legs with a bat, and drag him over to our yard and tell the police that he was trespassing. He always says "Well, who would the police believe?!"

It has been the imagery of our fantasies for a while now, vdojaq.

i hate to say it - but any chance you and your dad had of doing that is gone now that you have it in print here. just remember his day will come. sometimes there are things you can do to make their life miserable and they don't even know it was you - you just have to think very well and live with the fact that they won't know it was you who cause inconveniences for them. thanks ed

Ed, I definitely understand what you're saying, but please understand that we would *never* do anything like that. Just a fun "what-if" daydream.

Or you could just "concern troll" and post copies of the arrest warrant to her FB photo stream saying to tell Kulek to get it resolved before it ruins Christmas?

I wonder if he told her about it? I'm sure Kulek's attorney told him about it.

Save that page for the judge. I am sure he would love to see it when they cry poor, we have no money. I haven't worked in three years and my wife only earns very little.

That's most likely a pirate outfit for the Michigan Renaissance Festival; well that would be my guess anyway.

Looking back it's hard to believe so many trusted this ass hat with their dough. I mean look at him. I don't even think Red Lobster would hire him, not even part-time.

So, when is someone going to call the cops on him?

"I'd like to have an officer go over to his house and do a wellness check-in, Kevin hasn't replied to me in a long while and I feel that he might be suicidal because of his recent bankruptcy, it's just so close to Christmas and I hope that he's well."

Problem solved. An officer would have to knock on his door and speak to him.

#12235 2 years ago

Could a bounty hunter be used to bring in Kevin? Don't know how that process works and wondered if they have access to a warrant database or something? We could start a Help Bring Kevin Kulek to Justice kickstarter to pay the hunter..

From that Facebook picture, maybe he's working on a new non-licensed pin: Kevin Kulek's Street Magic. It would create the perfect synergy as collectors seem to like "magic" themed games that will never come to fruition.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for all of you that lost money on this this.

... except I doubt asking for a welfare check constitutes an emergency.

I do think, though, that misspelling misdemeanor as "misdeemener" should be a misdemeanor!

#12240 2 years ago
Quoted from jeffspinballpalace:

Could a bounty hunter be used to bring in Kevin?

Unfortunately, based on my years of experience working within that industry, I don't believe a fugitive recovery agent or bounty hunter is licensed or authorized or insured or legally allowed to to apprehend someone unless they are a fugitive who has skipped court or jumped bond, and they're contracted through a licensed and insured bail bonding agency to go after said fugitive. I am pretty certain that's the rule, I've spent quite a bit of time in the industry and never knew it to be otherwise. But I'm not sure if that changes with the Federal warrants. In this case, the U.S. Marshall's are in effect, serving the role of bounty hunters and are the law enforcement agency currently responsible for apprehending Kevin, negating the need for a regular bounty hunter.

Holy crap I am a photographer and looking at his wife's Facebook page it's shockingly bad ... terrible lighting , flooring used as background and sheets used as backdrops . I would have hoped my $4500 could have at least bought her a light meter

Having lost all faith and hope in getting a penny back from my full payment I am thinking of going down the route of attempting to take PayPal to the small claims court for taking money for a Pre order and that's against thier T&Cs
Probably not gonna be any good but gotta be better than getting anything out of Kevin

The physical appearance of Kulek and JPop is the only reason I didn't give either of them a dime.

Judging a book by its cover has served me well.

Christmas Eve and all is quiet.
Pinside folk eating or talking about a diet.

Not a written word
on the Kevin Kulek thread.
Is he still living, or maybe dead?

Visions of a Warrant dance in Kevin's head,
but the ole Kulek thinks he has nothing to dread.

He stirs occasionally looking at papers,
sifting through boxes until he gets the vapors.

"Where are my receipts; why isn't there
anything in my checkbook? The Court said I
had to have them all or I would be found a crook!"

In a panic, he decides he must leave town.
So, out of the house he springs with a single bound.

He jumps on his pinball cart and exclaims;
"On Delay, Dillydally, and Falter", as he
grasps for an imaginary halter.
"Let us flee . . . Straggle, Blunder, and Procrastinate!
We've gotta skip town . . Dawdle, Quaver, and Vacillate!"

Suddenly, what to his wondering eyes should appear,
but a carload of US Marshals quickly rushing his rear.

Kevin shakes and quakes and curses,
while in the rhythm a minister reads Biblical verses,
the Marshals carefully read him his rights,
as he is ‘cuffed on this cold and wintry night.

"I dindo nuffin'!!! Is all he can stammer and stutter.
And they whisked him away without a nary a flutter.

I heard him exclaim as they drove out of sight,
"I'm fuckin' innocent! I won't go down without a fight!"

The judge said, "It's too late!
You didn't participate!
I find you in contempt,
you obtuse little shrimp!
It's off to jail you go, you thief,
for all those you cheated, we hope to bring relief!"

It was cold, dark, and dank in his jail cell.
Some were hoping he would just go straight to Hell!

This was my dream tonight,
thinking of Kevin's plight.
Maybe it will come true and I'm right!
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

Quoted from s1500:

Did he ever get paper mails(in addition to emails) to show up for legal proceedings? I'm wondering if he just tossed them out like it was an overdue bill he ain't going to pay. Interesting to watch someone just completely ignore it all to see how far it's going to go.

yeah, whats happening here? .. whats the latest...

he just ignoring all this, not showing up, continuing on with life.. and thats allowed?

Ramifications of not showing up at court? NONE?

Quoted from ledge:

You can ignore your teeth too and they'll just go away eventually as well!

He may not get taken into custody over this any time soon, however, he also cannot simply have his bankruptcy request approved without complying with the courts. His debt(s) will not be excused. Good luck applying for a credit card in your name. Good luck getting anything else ever again that you can't pay for with cash. Kevin may think he can simply live on his wife's credit and her name but that's simply not the case. He needs to realize and accept the long-term repercussions of what he is doing. His children may pay the price in the long run and that is the saddest part.
