I'm considering joining the club, but haven't had much time on the game.

I have a few questions...

1) Is this a long player like Hobbit, WOZ, etc?

2) Is it MB heavy like Hobbit

3) What is the rule structure like? Is it traditional Keith with loads of modes?

Thanks

#16688 2 years ago
Quoted from Reznnate:

1) yes
2) yes
3) Nope, it's unique and awesome.

So knowing it's a long playing game now, I'm curious to know how achievable the wizard mode is.

Is it unobtainium like WOZ or TSPP, extremely difficult like LOTR, or just reasonably tough like Avengers (Elwin's game, not the turd).

Also, what are the modes like?

I like the MB modes in LOTR, but didn't enjoy the modes in Hobbit.

Thanks

Just joined the club today with an LE.

Having some issues, and hoping to get some input.

1) Getting about 50% SDTM drains from the center scoop.

2) Finding the shots hard to time because there's a bit of a drop as the ball comes down the right ball guide onto the right flipper. See images.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Quoted from PinMonk:

Go to the top of any page in this thread. Click on "TOPIC INDEX" then click on "KEYPOST SUMMARY" to sort by the keypost names, then check out the "TECH" section for playfields. Your solution to the center drain is there.

Thanks!

Can anyone confirm that there is a bit of a drop from the ball guide to the right flipper, whereas the left is more flush?

Thanks!

Quoted from daveyvandy:

You can move the lane guides a bit by loosening the screws that hold them in and pushing the lane guide up or down to where you want it to be and then screwing down tight.

Before I do that, can someone confirm if there should be a bit of a drop from the guide to the flipper?

The left side has not drop, but the right side does.

Thanks!

So I put washers on one side of the scoop VUK, but some of the ejects are going dangerously close to the tip of the left flipper.

Is it supposed to hit closer to the middle?

Also, what's the recommended pitch for this game? 6.5?

#20638 2 years ago

When you cash out during a song, is it supposed to give you your jackpot and then flippers die and the ball drains???

#20640 2 years ago
Quoted from Dustwel:

Yep. You donā€™t lose a ball though.

I just played November Rain, and pretty sure I finished it.

Got 47 million cash out bonus.

Is that decent in this game?

Is there a midnight madness mode on GnR?

#20643 2 years ago

Or does the game have an atteact mode where it says things? Pretty sure I just heard it says "How are you" while I was in another room.

Or maybe I'm hearing things

#20645 2 years ago
Quoted from PinMonk:

If it detects motion, it will sometimes say things to you.

I'll be honest... It freaked me and the wife out pretty bad haha.

I wonder what happened though, because no one was in the room with the game. Maybe reflection of light off wall???

Either way, I think I'll turn it off when I'm not playing from now on haha.

#20656 2 years ago
Quoted from Ponzie:

Yes, that's pretty darn good. November Rain is a long song so it can score pretty high though.

No Midnight Madness mode that I'm aware of.
As for your comment on the camera noticing motion and calling people out...I turned that off in the settings after I got startled a few times...lol
Such a good game and very different from Hobbit!

I noticed when playing November Rain, it didn't ask me to cash out (at least I don't remember it) but when I play other song modes, it's always asking to cash out.

What causes this?

Well... This just happened on ball 1!

Crazy ass "This I Love" mode followed by the two worst balls I've ever had (see score for evidence).

I had an extra ball lit but couldn't get it up to the lanes to collect it. I hit the right orbit numerous times, bit it just keep flowing around.

How do you pick up that EB?

Quoted from atg1469:

If your magnet is working, itā€™s way easier from the right loop; otherwise shooting it straight up the gut from the left flipper is the next best bet.

Is the magnet supposed to stop it when you make the right orbit, or only in certain instances?

Also, just turned my game on, and the left lock on my guitar is not activating on its own.

Any idea how to fix both of these issues?

Just had a good game where I played one song from every album. Think I drained during one of them.

Also played Tour and Slash Solo.

All inserts were red except Use Your Illusion 2. Anyone know why?

Also, does that mean I was almost at Not In This Lifetime?

#20994 2 years ago
Quoted from ZoraShinoda:

You have to play the song from the album for 3 minutes to light it. You probably drained on that albums song prior to 3 minutes.

Good to know!

So since I had everything else lit red, if I happen to have that one red, would that have meant I could have gone to the final wizard?
