Quoted from KevInBuffalo:

I'm in! [quoted image]

Nice! Which version?!

#79 3 years ago
Quoted from delt31:

LE for me!
That art is great and just has what I need. If the CE art was flipped with LE JJP might have got me with the CE.

Love skull concert poster art and classic rose red.
Seems like a potential fit for my ratty old ticket too.

Quoted from zr11990:

$22. Now you would pay $250 for cheap seats at a somewhat regular show. Ill bet GnR would start at $1000.

No shit - right!

#198 3 years ago

Considering an LE and interested if anyone has seen a shot map of targets or drops. Are they tucked away behind the pops/ramps?
Hard to see in video as I get distracted by light show.
Aesthetically this thing is way off the charts!

#502 3 years ago

More than just a GNR pin to me.
Inherited my gramps Fender that I’ve enjoyed playing for years.
That alone may have me pulling trigger on one of these.

#631 3 years ago
Quoted from EricHadley:

Just stick the missing mech in the LE and this all goes away. What a cluster fuck. Just like i said all along. I’m never buying another JJP after this mess.

Quoted from EricHadley:

OMG this game is beautiful! I am in on a LE!

Stay wacky, wacky!

#923 3 years ago
Quoted from kermit24:

Yeah it will be good when there are more owners with games in hand. It’s pretty lonely in here.

Ours landed pm yesterday!
Broke every pin purchase rule.
But what a incredible experience, staying in song modes is very addictive - we were all up way too late for mid week.

I earned my first ever bra award in a pinball machine and first dimple on my record.
Both are a HUGE badges of honor!

Real stunner of a machine, incredible work JJP!
Look forward to others sharing too!

November Rain the song was never my GNR fav, but with this machine - man - it has a new life, decent challenge, almost like being part of some kind of movie.
Just incredible.

#1130 3 years ago

I normally respect Caucasian2steps reviews on Pinside but his early review on the LE just seems off. IMO no game is perfect, but sounds like he either absolutely despises the theme or the game he played just wasn’t level at all.
What stood out was a design flaw comment based on experiencing drain issues on plunge but I’ve had absolutely ZERO issues.
Just an odd take as a first impression.
Oh well, hope folks give the game more than one shot out in the wild!

#1299 3 years ago
Quoted from CoolCatPinball:

Damn, lol. My ADD will be killing me with that bare post, but yeah, I think it will make the left drains more likely. Already adjusted the posts to easiest positions.

That right outlane can be sneaky too.
Enjoy it!

#1370 3 years ago

I’m taking notes on what you sound hounds are doing for GNR as I’ve never added on other than some FF speakers here there in past.
This one will be worthy of an upgrade.

#1601 3 years ago
Quoted from CoolCatPinball:

Can someone remind me about the "chatty frank" issue and what the fix is?

Chatty frank lol.
Reminds me of an uncle I don’t really want over for Thanksgiving.

#1621 3 years ago

Did these help Wonka/JJPOTC with cylinder posts?
I remember Spooky sending me a handful when they had a run of issues to put under star posts.

Thoughts?
[quoted image]

Quoted from Shmilder:

Dunno was posted on fb. I'm enquiring though.

Quoted from Shmilder:

I haven't quite pulled the trigger yet. I'm 99.9.% there.....

Then why bring it to owner thread if you have no idea?
If it’s not your game stir the pot elsewhere.

-11
#1679 3 years ago
Quoted from screaminr:

Whether it's his game or not it concerns everyone who is considering buying one .
It's not stirring the pot it's sharing information .

We have 50 GNR threads on Pinside to speculate and share if you are considering the game.
This is an owner thread

#1684 3 years ago
Quoted from screaminr:

The chipping isn't speculation , it looks real to me .
Hopefully it's not one of the ones with the new clear coat formula but there's no point putting your head in the sand about it .

It’s quite simple.
A prototype photo vs production game from an owner is a big deal.
Let’s get the facts and not spam this thread

#1689 3 years ago
Quoted from Shmilder:

This is from an owners production game. 2 weeks old yesterday.

Thanks and appreciate the clarity on who posted the pf photo. Prototype images were going around as well. Just want facts like everyone else.

#1760 3 years ago

JJP just produced first edition digital manual with latest update that may help confirm part. You can order a coil but also consider carefully drilling the stuck sleeve out and replacing the sleeve if you have one on hand in your parts box. Coils run hot but don’t often go bad. Just a thought to quickly get you back to 100%. Good luck!

#1762 3 years ago
Quoted from Motorcitypinball:

from my experience. New coils usually have new sleeves, Correct?

Should come with a sleeve. Just trying to save you a few bucks and back flipping fast if coil is fine. I had this happen on TAF and fished it out without replacing the coil if you have extra sleeves around.
Sounds like you have a backup either way.

LE/CE owners check upper pf rubber and have backup.
All of mine came w/standard red except that one which was synthetic and tore.
Lasted 131 games - oh well.

#1776 3 years ago
Quoted from kermit24:

Check that the flipper rubber isn’t digging into the ball guide up there. Mine was and I had to slightly bend the guide to stop it.

That did it- quick bend. Thanks man.

Quoted from kermit24:

It is outstanding and a no brainer IMO.

Agree. Live and Let Die alone is worth the price of a shaker.

#2003 3 years ago
Quoted from Coolpinballdino:

Side question does anyone know what sections the extra balls are under in the the settings thanks.

Settings - System settings.
Add a balls etc. under game settings.
Enjoy!

#2007 3 years ago
Quoted from ziz:

I am wondering exactly what the adult mode does. I know it excludes some songs, but does it remove some callouts as well? Anything else?

Adult mode includes extra F bomb callouts from Melissa and Duff + the addl songs. They arnt Steve Richie brutal, but prepare to be called a fucker.
Safe mode removes songs and inserts the regular callouts.

I'm in with an se.
[quoted image]

Congrats on your pin!
Finally had a chance to play an SE yesterday relative to my LE. I was really impressed with what they did with the upper pf space and the added Duff guitar acrylic. The slightly faster Stern style gameplay with JJP extras at a solid price point?
Win! Win!

#2490 3 years ago

Stock flipper rubber is certainly crapola.
Since we are on the subject, curious if folks are considering changing ring colors on your game? Thinking I’ll stick to translucent based on the light shows but open to ideas.

#2738 3 years ago
Quoted from Skyemont:

Has anyone sold a SE or LE because they did not like it? Just wondering.

No, quite the opposite.
LE may have voted one of my other pins off the island.

#2822 3 years ago
Quoted from Sako-TRG:

Won't nerd idiots just pull the glass off to hike their scores up just for bragging rights?

The camera is fully integrated to account for any nerd idiots and will remove score from leaderboard.

#3358 3 years ago

I’ve had time on both versions of AIQ. Shots for days and complex rules but no soul pulling me in.
GNR wins spinning disk battle w/risk/reward and total experience but probably won’t win these pinball trophies.
AIQ is no Maiden, but do like how the pro plays.

#3392 3 years ago

Finally more owners! Congrats
Update code, adult mode, dim lights and crank it!
Let’s go!

#3415 3 years ago

Let’s see some new owner song jackpots!!!!

1 week later
#3746 3 years ago

GNR reminded me of how good a licensed theme can be with complete assets and support. I like Richie and LZ but everything else is a big wait and see.

#3767 3 years ago
Quoted from kermit24:

I expect all of the Album modes to see improvements in the next updates. DD is obviously the one that isn't even close to complete.

I’d like to see some polish on the lighting effects on some songs as well. Picky perhaps, but some have a bit more zing than others.

#3810 3 years ago

Mr Frank Ferrer on drums!!...finally has pops that look more ....like drums.
Nice work!

#3911 3 years ago

Saved a lot of money today and plan to purchase those Lior mods with some of it.

#3990 3 years ago

I love unlocking patience to earn that song.
It would be cool to unlock another after so many encores in the game/ patches etc.
Brutal but right in line with the risk/reward aspect that I enjoy about this game.

#4018 3 years ago

Congrats. I’d appreciate if all new owners post their pins with a polite “Frank here”

#4056 3 years ago

When exactly does the right ramp diverter “Not In This Lifetime” drop down during gameplay?
Never paid attention but mine doesn’t seem to do it.
In test coil does fire but doesn’t seem to drop completely .. can I get a pic of someone else’s in down position to compare?
In other words, any input appreciated!

#4066 3 years ago
Quoted from Eskaybee:

When the ‘Detour’ insert located right under the right ramp entrance is lit Yellow, that signals the diverter will go to the upper flipper.
Usually happens in tour modes, upper flipper shot lit for certain points in songs, and there’s plenty other times it lights as well. [quoted image]

Thanks, but as I’ve shown, my issue is with the Not In This Lifetime right ramp diverter, not the left ramp.

#4068 3 years ago
Quoted from Eskaybee:

That’s what I was referring to. That diverter should divert the ball when the detour insert is lit. I’ll see if I can get a pic of mine in the down position later tonight.

Now I gotcha! thank you!! Followed the insert
and works perfectly. My bad for not paying enough attn before!!

#4081 3 years ago
Quoted from Shapeshifter:

Having watched LZ stream and a few GnR streams, I am pretty surprised that GnR LE is the game I want in 2021

I was surprised as well. I’ve been holding out for a LZ pin for years. When GNR was streamed and learned how involved the band was on the project - that was it. It is never a VS thing for me, just respect the work and care JJP put into creating a differentiated pinball experience. They were rewarded with my wallet first this time.

#4127 3 years ago

She’s the right insert - light blue.
Qualify her by rolling over the light blue keyboard key insert. Her skeleton is next to it. (see pic)

#4134 3 years ago
Quoted from kermit24:

Usually when make some noice (AMP) starts with the left inlane I’ll take a shot at pyro with the left flipper to try to stack the two boosters.

I do the same. Make some noise always seems to come last for me. Thought I mastered that shot under the flipper back when I had a ST pro -umm- not so much.

#4461 3 years ago

Working on replacing rubbers and can’t remember if this left lane post originally had a ring or not? Mines missing.
Thx for refresher!

It’s a cool feature. Keep mine in music only mode for now so I cant see any of the song modes.
Yes, torture.

Quoted from DaddyManD:

HAHA that's classic. But seriously can someone answer the question? thanks

At this time you can turn off adult language callouts and the explicit videos in adult setting(all songs) but not specific patches in either setting.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

1 week later
#6644 3 years ago
Quoted from holminone:

is this game the goat/bees knees/super fun

It’s the cats meow and ants pants but you have to like a game built around a rock concert more than other band pins. It takes a bit to get familiar w/nuances of the game vs the spectacle. Once you do, the risk/reward can be quite addicting!

1 week later
#7160 3 years ago
Quoted from Shredso:

At least you didn't get Chinese Democracy (like me!). I actually like Spaghetti Incident. I'm surprised the mod people haven't jumped on this.

I don’t mind the Spaghetti Incident either but why the decal without songs represented in the game. Did they play songs from it on the NITL tour?

its same distributor, they call it Convolux, great update. https://www.shop.freddys-pinball-paradise.de/index.php?f=3&q=convolux%206723
Check for MIX FLUORESCENT, Guns N' Roses CE, PROTECTOR (#6723MIX), same for LE.
Main colour is yellow, upper field with red and green, I love it.

Anyone have a link to where can I find clear plastic protectors?

Quoted from NeilMcRae:

JJP are doing their brand immeasurable damage yet they continue to ship pinball machines with cheese for playfields.

I continue to watch key areas but won’t purchase another JJP on principle until they fix these issues.

Too many buyers impacted and too much silence. Shame really because the game is excellent and goodwill for JJP could have been equally huge going forward.
