It’s a good possibility that all LE’s will sell out by early next year.
That’s some serious cash injection into JJP... with that kinda cash that is on the table JJP should invest in getting the factory pumping out the games... Double shifts if they have too!
Get these games out before Stern release another title.. LZ.. I’m not concerned with, but you can bet that Stern WILL be looking at the games they have in development and picking one that WILL derail JJP G&R momentum.
Back To The Future... James Bond.... the hint at one of these games coming out will affect sales
Quoted from romulusx:I don’t think a ship the size of Stern could change direction that quickly.
And misdirection would backfire!
I think it could by Feb/ March when the next game after LZ
Scoop outer edge doesn’t look to be flush.
At the Scoop front where the playfield slopes the scoop doesn’t look to slope that much or it is not aligned properly . It the ball is hitting that as it goes in/ comes out you are going to have a ball that is covered in dings/ dents/ burrs.. that is going to scratch the hell out of the playfield..
But 100% right, JJP should have made a assembles that covers the edge too..thinking AFM saucer hole Cliffy over to you!
JLebowski maybe right..
This picture has surfaced.. but is unclear of what game it is from.. if it is from a production game with 1000’s of plays/ prototype assembly or if it is out of a recently unboxed game with a few hundred.. I don’t know..
The scoop sides are dented/buckled, especially the left side.. Don’t look to be attached to the inside of the scoop- so what?.. a protector that goes round the back that protects the scoop sides?
Can we get the date codes of the games that are pooling/chipping!? - Playfields are date stamped right..
Mirco said a handful of Playfields affected.. so if we can see the production dates on the games - if they are near each other then we have a batch to AVOID at all costs!
OK- so we know Helicon has a game that is pooling.. can we get a picture of the date stamp?
The other playfield pictures.. where are they coming from?...
Quoted from Pinballomatic:One word: NO
It’s a sound bar with a plastic stand up in front of it, for the most part..
Buy a soundbar..
someone will make a G&R plastic piece.. guarantee it
Do you guys in the US not have a trading standards organisation?
I have spoken to a trading standards office here in UK and quality like this would warrant refund/replacement of product!
What are distributors saying for G&RLE’s now..
I just got bumped from December delivery to sometime in 2021 because I asked about what they would do if my playfield was a dud!
Hey All
So got a G&RLE coming soon - what stuff is recommends for the game..
I have the Art of Pinball shooter housing, lockbar surround and Bullet shooter rod sorted.
What is this Pinwoofer Kit I’ve been hearing about? How easy to install is it?
Is this the best sound mod to get?
I’ve found a company here in UK - make silicone washers any size/shape and can add adhesive backing to the washers..
Or how about this company- makes vibration dampening bushings / washers..
Maybe a bushing through the post hole.. like a flipper bat..

Appreciate your posting on the pooling. I can’t see your pictures tho.
The PETG washers, what is the diameter of them? My game arrives very soon, and I want to put washers on before playing a game.
My question is this- would a smaller diameter washer work (same size as post) or do you think that would cause pooling?
I was thinking post, metal washer and then PETG washer under that.. what do you think?
The above is what I was thinking also.. there is a silicone company that can make bushings to size..
All I need is the dimensions.

Quoted from RETROCENGO:THIS is why JJP GnR Pinball playfields are Chipping:
I would really appreciate High_End_Pins insight I to this development.. could this indeed by the cause of the pooling/chipping.
What would you High_End_Pins do for the posts?
fooflighter - could you tell me how many posts are there?
Game has yet to arrive.
The PETG washers.. are they Pinballlife.. and what size do I need to order.
Thanks
My game is May 21 build..
Not played a game yet- game is up on its legs and I’ve put it in jukebox mode..
Over the next week or so:
Replace posts with larger WPC posts
Put washers under posts
Check coil stops
Install Cliffys
What else do I need to check?
Magnets?
Game arrives with silicone sling rubbers and upper playfield has silicone flipper rubber..
but lower normal rubbers..

I was going to take the DI manual to a printing place, along with Wonka & G&R download manual (or show them where to find them)
And get the Manuals printed the same quality and paper size as the DI manual.
It will be costly.
Quoted from hool10:What is the part number and how many posts do I need? I'm probably picking up like 50 or whatever silicone washers today.
They are the same posts as on the TAF bookcase..
The post do not move - no wiggle room at all!
Quoted from cooked71:If you are replacing the problem posts mentioned here (upper pf and in the pops) those posts are secured with t-nuts. To accommodate the t-nut itself, the hole is wider than both those posts. Won’t make any difference - they’ll both still have ”wiggle room”. Unless there are instances where JJP is installing those posts on the left (which are meant for t-nuts) in holes design for the post on the right (which is meant for smaller through holes).
Taking the T Nuts out of the pop area - trust me.. the WPC posts don’t move at all.. Try one
@thot
Not sure - So far I have done the 3 outlane posts..
On my playfield- I had to gently Tap the posts in with a hammer, until thread was out the bottom, then the nut pulled the posts in.
My Playfield posts in the bumper area - not sure if JJP has used loctite or something. I can’t undo the posts.. Not sure what I’m going to do to get them out.
Quoted from punkin:Take the nut off the bottom of the post?
yup done that. There is also T nut that the post screws into.
They have been tightened hard! Socket set not touching it.. socket just slips!
Quoted from Leo13:Is it the post you are talking about ?
https://www.pinballlife.com/1-78-tall-metal-post-with-10-32-threaded-base.html
Yup
Hi All.. sorry, where do you get the Beta code for G&RLE?
I’m on 1.21 - game downloads 1.22
But fails to verify.. any suggestions?
Thanks
What’s peoples
Thoughts- just fitted Cliffy protector on scoop..
The main piece. I put the hole protector from JJP back in..
I didn’t use the small Cliffy that goes on the back.. what are people doing?
Fitted the Cliffy protector at the scoop- went pretty well, took me about 2 hrs.
Took a break before re connecting the upper playfield wires.. and can’t remember if I unplugged these two from each other.. yellow wires
Actually they are both female so no idea - an little help!?
image (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpgSeems that these posts at the outlanes are just as bad.. As mentioned I have put these posts in- they have no movement at all in the hole, so washer shouldn’t be able to move
I had to tap them in gently with a hammer, but in the upper playfield the hole is bigger. Guess we will see.
I have only put 8 games on mine so far.. as it’s been super hot in UK and my games room is at 40 degrees.. too hot to play

I have been lucky with my D.I LE and my Wonka CE.. but I fear the worst with this one.
What are peoples thoughts on swapping the post out with a WPC post from opposite the upper right flipper.. I see it gets a lot of hits and is chipping/pooling on some games.
Can’t replace it with a longer post an nut, as it is directly above a circuit board and only has T nut to hold it.
The diverter on the right ramp- I’ve not actually noticed it working, it works in Test mode.. what circumstances does it kick in?
Hi All
Tried Downloading full update.
Put the USB in and turned game on.
Got a different screen to usual- something about a Data Block!? with 2 bars that were going..
Never seen that before. Is that right for this download?
keefer @check_switch_26
Could you confirm this is right? Or have I messed it up?
Thanks
