Quoted from greenhornet:iirc, in one of his pre #500 podcasts, which have since been taken down, kaneda mentioned that JJP already had some number of GNRs in boxes at the NJ facility, predating their move to IL. if true, your assessment has merit.
didnt chris from kingpin post his playfield was signed "slash 2019" ?
No, there were never any games built in NJ (that I'm aware of). Also, my signed instruction card is dated 2019. I don't have a playfield.
Quoted from SDVmnt:They must just have a pile of the tags sitting in a box they grab at random. I have 134 and have had it since week 2 of the game being released.
Yeah, specific numbers are there for people that request them, otherwise it is random number. Last batch for me was in the 330s, this batch was 130s.
And... I forgot to mention. One standard and two more limited editions dropped off today! Some very happy customers.
Quoted from PinHigh1:This is my first JJP machine - so I have a couple newb questions- what is the normal boot sequence when turning on the game? I initially see a dialog box that says HDMI appear over top of the guns and roses logo...and then it goes to a BIOS screen showing running commands/files loading etc...then eventually the start game home screen appears. Normal?
Game plays fine just curious if this is a normal sequence or not as it seems raw. In the running command lines I see green and red text - red is USB failed I think. I presume because I don't have a USB plugged in at the time.
Nothing in the owners manual about what to expect. I'll take some pics and share to be sure. Thanks.
Normal.
Edit, damnit llyod. 26 seconds you beat me by.
Quoted from jarozi:Anyone get a recent status on late release week (9-Oct) LE orders from JJP? I emailed a week ago and so far being ghosted, thanks!
As a distributor (not JJP direct), I can tell you that the Collector's Editions are currently being built. Once all 500 of those are built and in boxes then the LE/SE will begin again. I still have roughly 20 people on my "1st day" orders, so anyone ordering now I am telling 4-5 months.
All orders placed now are at the new prices. Any orders before today will be honored.
This is across board from all distributors (or is supposed to be).
Quoted from thechakapakuni:That’s what I’m confirming in writing. I have an email confirming my order was in Monday. Reconfirming
Then you should be good.
Quoted from CoolCatPinball:Holy hell, a price increase... Not to rub it in, but I was a lucky bastard that recieved my machine within a few weeks of release. Just a roll of the dice I suppose. That being said, if anyone is in the Knoxville ,TN. 37922 area, and wants to come play, PM me. Seriously. As long as you're not a weirdo.....lol. I've already had Covid, and the wife has been vaccinated, so we're good.
"As long as you're not a weirdo..."
Hahahahaha
Have you met pinball people?
I'm just kidding. That's a generous offer.
Quoted from BeeGee6533:I hope someone can come up with a solution for the ubiquitously problematic ball hang-up on the lower right pop bumper. Seems like many have this issue where the ball just gets stuck on the right side of that pop between it and the post and rail. I had a song jackpot(where I was down to single ball play) worth 20mil and the ball gets stuck there. No tilt warnings left and no time for ball search to break it free since I was abut 10 seconds away from applause jackpot. Entire jackpot lost. I’ve been accepting this hang-up for months but when that happened during a huge jackpot I was so bummed, lol! Someone suggested taking off the rubber ring on the post, which I did. Didn’t help unfortunately. I even tried to make that pop bumper more sensitive. Didn’t help. I think it’s just the layout of that area. It’s a natural spot for the ball to rest. I need to do something to mitigate that. Maybe cut a small piece of foam and wrap a rubber band to it and the post? Open to ideas. Even better if JJP has a fix in mind.
try removing the rubber ring from the post that is right there. you could also try adjusting the sensitivity of that pop bumper so it reacts quicker.
Quoted from dougPDX:Any recommendations for where to buy? Best to buy through JJP, or preorder from another vendor? Looks like 3-5 months out regardless...
Depends on what you are looking for. Do you need the machine delivered and installed? Do you need someone to come over and service the machine? Do you wish to trade the machine in at some point for a new game? If yes to any of these then you need a local distributor. If you dont need any of these services then order from whomever.
