Quoted from Shmilder:

"I’ve heard some rumblings that Paul from Pinball Sales Australia has a container coming this month, but I’m not 100% sure."
Direct from someone at jjp

Hasn't left yet so doubt it will be here before Christmas and not as many games as expected

we are all having huge shipping delays out of the USA during Covid

#2703 3 years ago
Quoted from pinsanity:

All good. There was never any doubt about the info you posted.

And there isn't any doubt in any info i am posting.

I know everyone in the industry all friends of mine for more than 20 years.

I know who makes what parts, who ships the games and at the moment USA are quoting 42 days shipping unless an extra $2,000 paid for 28 days shipping and if shipping next week won't make it here before Xmas.

I have games coming in as well it is what it is, I wish it wasn't as everyone wants games before Christmas.

Not that it matters to you as Paul tells me you have no skin in the game.

Quoted from jeffspinballpalace:

WTF - why do pinball maunufacturers of hot pinball titles continue to send early games overseas by ship? In this age where nobody flies, the airline industry is ramping up their cargo business and offering competitive rates. Instead of shipping two containers by sea to a single depot and taking 2 months. Manufacturers should fly these games directly to the correct countries and games could arrive at distributors and homes in a week. Comparatively it takes a few minutes to send money, make a deposit or pay in full and then wait. Would this be an improvement to the current practice?
Does anybody know CURRENT pricing (within past few months) for air shipping 100 pins to AU/NZ or 100 pins to EU? Sure this will cost more up front, but when you figure in lost time and similar import duties, it can’t be too much on a per pin basis. Numbers don’t lie - real quotes, not generalizations are needed to discuss viability.

yes costs about $1200 more plus 10% of the extra $1200 so $1320 extra

Quoted from Dr-pin:

A container is either 20 or 40 foot. What are the messurements of the short-sides of the box?

You fit 3 wide x 7 long upright is 21
then 3 laying down wide x 4 long 12
so 33 with about a foot spare at the end

40ft fits at least 66 but there is also High Cube 40ft

Games have to be shared over several Distributor orders everyone gets a share of Production

Quoted from allsportdvd:

Any playfield issues on the one at Pauls? Pooling etc? Being the only one in Australia I'm sure it's had a lot of plays

Timezone has one in Gold Coast as well

Quoted from punkin:

Thanks mate, Shane at Austral Amusements is sending me some.
And i can get a spare set and cover postage for the price it would have been for one set at Mr Pinball. No wonder he drives a Ferrari
[quoted image]
[quoted image]

You asked for info I supplied a link with part numbers etc, nobody else did, I don't care where you buy it from.

Don't expect assistance in the future

#6307 3 years ago
Quoted from punkin:

Sure Wayne. I'll skip that Hot wheels i was looking at too.

Thats fine, if you are going to rub pricing in my face when all i am doing is trying to help, you have never bought anything in the past so I wouldn't expect anything different,

And its a HSV VF GTS a 2019 Mustang a Aston Martin and a New C8 Corvette Not a Ferrari I own

PS 15 others have ordered the same parts for their game regardless of price

Quoted from pinballaddicted:

Have you repaired any decals? It is not as easy to fix as you think. Once they are stretched, they are fucked. Remove, start again. Replacing a side decal would take at least a few hours, not 5 minutes.
I do agree with you it is not on purpose but I fully agree with punkin that the workers and QC managers in the factory do not give a fuck. This has not happened in the container to Australia, it left the factory like that.
Lets see how the Aussie distro handles these few issues. That is after all what determines a good business relationship, how issues are resolved.

JJP use coated Panels not bare wood, we replaced the right side decal on over 40 Pirates as they were scratched going into the boxes at the factory, and it was easy

2 ways to fix, hair dryer and a wallpaper roller to flatten out the decal or

you remove the 2 hinge bolts and cabinet bolt, peel off the decal, clean with wax and grease remover, and apply the new decal, 30 mins tops

I have done heaps of them

when you do a reset, it can clear what monitor output is used or what drive it looks for, so you are trying to get to the bios settings using a keyboard
