Watching the Buffalo Pinball live stream - looks AMAZING!
A few online clicks with my distributor of choice and I'm now officially "In like Flynn" for an LE!
Quoted from kermit24:Had a guest over today.

You folks celebrating Thanksgiving early this year?
Quoted from f3honda4me:It sounds like Lior is going to make one.
Cool to hear - I hope he does!
LOVE Lior's mods!
Quoted from Vespula:It's so noisy in there I can't even hear the game ... So I brought my noise canceling Bluetooth headphones ... then I connected them and wow what a totally new great experience playing with stereo headphones on and noise canceling all the background location music and bar noise. So immersive!! ...
Not being able to hear the game you're trying to play is the biggest downside for me about playing games on location. Thus, I always appreciated being able to connect headphones/earbuds into JJP games when I played them on location pre-COVID. Even better now that JJP is incorporating Bluetooth capability!
Quoted from firebrand007:Hi,
I just got my LE, and the left rubber on top of "Coma" (area to the left of the left slingshot) was unfortunately before even the first game.
What's the reference of that rubber and would you have any guidance on how to replace it ?
Total newbie here and it seems I need to remove 3 posts, one of which has a t-nut on the bottom of the playfield, with which I wonder how to deal.
The other ones I suppose can be removed with a nut driver (American size 11/32?) and a small wrench to keep the plot from turning ?
Thanks a lot !
Assume you're referring to #5 in diagram below. That's 1 1/2" and there shouldn't be a need to remove any posts. Just remove enough nuts to be able to carefully lift the end of the plastic above it and pop the new ring in over posts.
The GnR game manual (including rubber ring sizes and all sorts of detailed info) is available for viewing via your game's menu system or you can download a copy of the latest manual (May 2021) at JJP's website support page.
Quoted from Rolls-Royce:… 1st time since February that I came back from a COMA … looks amazing that light at the end of the bed, and I wasn’t expecting that lol!
Not the best record but a record is a record

Quoted from Eskaybee:I love coma multiball. Especially when you string together multiple super jackpots and the guitar licks get more and more intense. Would love to see it added as some kind of mini mode you could play vs others.
EDIT: like a 90 second, unlimited ball save. Highest score wins.
Does partial progress within Coma get carried over ball to ball as it is in WoZ's "There's no place like home" left outlane resurrection mode?
Quoted from Eskaybee:Give it time. The first part is learning the construct of the song modes (i.e. the basic objectives) which are: ...
Thanks SKB! Great info - much appreciated!
Quoted from Ecw0930:... The only thing I haven't really gotten into is the patches. They don't interest me and I'm not sure they are really worth the time to learn.
You should get interested as they are well worth understanding to get the most out of playing GnR. Patches are important for increased scoring and add key additional strategy to the gameplay.
From the Tilt Forums Wiki Rulesheet:

Patches 3 (resized).JPG
Patches 4 (resized).JPG
Patches 5 (resized).JPG
Quoted from Ecw0930:I have been studying this page for a little while. Even before I bought the game.
I just didn't get into the patches as they seemed frivolous.
However, I will spend some time on them!
Do you have any suggestions as your go to?
I typically start off completing the Fender/Gibson/Vater/Marshall set for band member benefits and collective extra ball. I usually then go for the T-shirt/Poster set next as they decrease the meter decay from cradling the ball during songs.
Some players like the Axl patch right off and then focus on specific song patches. Lots of various scoring benefits and strategy options.
Quoted from Ecw0930:Great stuff! Thank you!
Hit a 15m jackpot tonight. Not really sure how it got so high. . Maybe I used the right patches? ♂️
No problem - you're welcome!
Quoted from 80sMan:Wanted to do something a little different so went with these mods. For the snake skull, it’s heavier and won’t work with the light brown spring so experimented with the tension on a few different ones and decided on black. Feels right & can hit the skills shots no problem. Enjoying the game.
The roses are a nice touch on the coin door shadow box!
Quoted from Daditude:Does anyone have advice on "must-have" mods?
If you don't have a CE:
Quoted from punkin:I'd go with any other option that doesn't support JJP.
I'm looking forward to adding those JJP art blades to my LE as soon as they arive!
FWIW (for anyone interested in avoiding JJP products): I just listed the brand new (unopened) GnR art blades, I purchased from Tilt Graphics and previously intended to install, on the Pinside market at a discount.

Update: SOLD
Quoted from sirlonzelot:Are they already available?
Not yet as far as I'm aware. I have mine ordered and am awaiting shipping.
Quoted from ThePinballFuries:For anyone not happy with the sound - a Polk PSW10 powered with some alligator clips sub does a great job of improving the sound. It really balances out all the treble hitting you in the face and is easy to install. I’m sure the Pinwoofer sounds better, but for an easy and quick sound upgrade I highly recommend it.
Yep - JJP, Stern, American, Spooky, whatever, ... a Polk sub adds wonder to the audio!
Yet, even with a Polk hooked up to my GnR, Pinwoofer is calling to my ears. Like the seductive song of a Siren!
Quoted from Rockytop:Rules question. Is there a way to tell the song's value before starting the song? I'm sure there is, but I haven't found it.
Quoted from killborn:I've been wondering the same thing about the song level. pinball_keefer said he thought it was in the status report, but I can't seem to find it either. ...
I've been trying to find that info as well. Not seeing it though, which is surprising as it certainly would be nice to know the current song level you're at before starting one!
Quoted from zaphX:I was thinking today...
Everyone loves the 6 MB stacking on POTC and the drive to get 666666.
Yet the pre-song 4 MB stacking on GNR seems to be more controversial. "Wah, too many multiballs!"
Why the difference, I wonder?
GnR's stacked pre-song multiballs seem more chaotic than POTC's stacked multiballs. More action concentrated in the lower portion of the playfield for GnR and new balls being fed directly into it don't help.
Wah!
Quoted from marksf123:Anyone have the JJP topper in stock? Let me know.
Thanks

Quoted from marksf123:It only lights up, Could of been so much more but it does look good....
I agree. I've been holding out for Lior's upcoming topper, but decided against spending that much money.
Sooo ... I ordered the JJP topper a week ago, got it yesterday and installed it. Nothing fancy, but the white lit marquee adds a nice effect!
Quoted from PinMonk:The ball is not supposed to go to the back of the playfield. It's supposed to roll over whichever insert is lit around where you've circled and then drop to the right flipper. If you overshoot, there's a target there to stop the ball and redirect it back down to your flipper.
Quoted from Xelz:Working as intended. That's as far as the ball can go. There's a backstop that prevents the ball from going further up the playfield, and it will always enter the playfield from underneath the third flipper.
Every plunge in GNR is a "short" plunge.
I think he realizes this. Sounds like he's saying the ball doesn't even travel into the lit skillshot inserts area.
I would suspect a misaligned plunger or perhaps the ball is catching the bottom of the autolaunch mech (and losing energy) due to the playfield settling (had this happen on my POTC).
Quoted from PinMonk:But why did he say the ball can't travel to the top of the playfield?
See his subsequent post where he (somewhat) clarifies the issue:
Quoted from william30513:Thanks for answer, but yes I dont think I explained it very well. Its basically first shot of the game or anytime on a new ball, the ball barely makes it up to the first flipper area, the circled area, not to the very back of the playfield.
So when shot, ball slowly goes up the playfield about 12" then falls onto the playfield below the first flipper.
