I set the custom to 0 manually (flat) then adjusted the midrange to a scooped pattern (as I currently have set) I did have to take the Bass and Treble high and low ends way back as they seemed to blow out and muddy the sound effects (very weird) from what I had set previously. So I guess the latest beta boosted the top and low ends a bit
