Thank you! Next is WOZ then I need to cool off lol. I am in the JJP fan boy phase right now. They just are enjoyed more by family for now.

Check the tension on the wires to the guitar neck. If they're too tight or a wire has pulled out of the socket slightly, it can cause this. So check the connections and if there's tension, try to give a little more slack on those wires going to the guitar neck.

Follow the black USB cable and make sure it is well seated.

The problem was in the main wires of the board behind the translite. At the moment it's working.
Thank you so much!
Hey Eskaybee ... I'm trying out and making my own tweaks to your suggested settings. I'm referring to this post for those that do not know -- the settings are awesome.

I found it a little difficult do the settings because the explicit name of each setting was not always obvious to me. I thought I'd share what I concluded, perhaps to help others.

One question for you Eskaybee: You wrote "booster multiball difficulty: increase lights, crowd, and pyro difficulty +1". I was only able to change Pyro and Lights, but didn't see Crowd. What is that specifically called?
I'm still trying out these settings, but my thoughts so far for the altan variation are
1. I'm 99% sure I'm going to move Lights Qualifying Difficulty from 3 to 4 (or even 5).
2. Maximum Song Ball Save Time of 30 seems too high still, thinking 15 seconds
3. Applause time probably down to 15 seconds
I would love to somehow turn off the over generous multiball! I hate playing the game and getting multi ball in less than a minute.

Do you know how the 4 multiballs are started?
Avoid those shots until you're ready.
The multiball whiners on this game, SMH
You want to get the mini multiballs prior to starting a song if you want any shot at a decent score. Gotta be a fan of multiballs for this game.
Quoted from Vespula:Congrats! Another SE arrives.
Three's company, as they say.
(Unless you bought yours from the other two guys on here with SEs).
Shaker would be a good add on... along with pinwoofer.
Anyone know how many SE were actually built and sold?
I was told 250 were made. I'm currently looking to sell my GnR: SE though to a pinball museum in RI. My game has 10k plays and some minor/routine things I have done on it and you wouldn't know it had 10k games unless you were told. The playfield is another issue altogether but oh well. I'm pretty sure the PETG washers did more harm than good.

I just got mine on Sunday. I have played a buddys LE a fair amount. I wonder what kind of scores the whiners are getting? I feel the multiballs are completely necessary to blow up the score and get those big applause jackpots.

Yeah.
I mean, the whole point of the game is:
- Maximize boosters (which are MuLTiBAllS), ideally stacked, and collect patches
- Play the song and execute against the "guitar hero" band member shots
- Band frenzy for great justice

Right on. I forgot what the crowd one was called. I’ll have to check next time I’m at my game which might not be until the weekend. But it certainly makes skill shots more important.
Well I don’t get the hate for this game. It’s not as magical as wonka but it’s no slouch either. Refreshingly different I would say.

Haters are always going to hate so I would not worry about any of them.
Issue has been that a lot of games have needed a fair bit of work straight out of the box to get the game playing nice.

That number does seem small.
On the other hand, when GNR LE was nowhere to be found for close to a year, the SE wasn't hard to find (at least around me). That may support the ~250 number.

I find every JJP is very different from the others, which is part of what makes them great.

Ain't that the truth. No repeating plays at JJP. Love that.

Me too. I just started collecting again after 10 years. Bought a woz 3 months ago and now this……..
Quoted from twinturb089:Only waiting on a dialed in, but I should have that next week.
Gotta say I was disappointed at first, when seeing the first couple pictures and only games from Woz forward, but then I saw you have refined taste by including excellent games like FunHouse and Theatre of Magic.
I have zero problem with modern Stern, and would like a GZ Premium some day (truth: I would have got a GZ Premium instead of GNR LE, if the premium wasn't impossible to find then), but generally I like the 90s game and JJP.

Those 10 machines in under 3 months?!?!?!?
RESPECT!

YUP. Back in 2010 i had 34 dmd machines at one time in my pool house, but went thru a divorce and i sold almost all of them.ex wife had the house for 2 years and when i bought the house back she had sold my attack from mars! That was back when most a listers where 3-6 grand. I got out of the hobby up until about three months when i went to a arcade and seen a stranger things pinball.... The minute i left the arcade the search was on for a stranger things. took a week to find a new in box pro ( that i paid dearly for) After that it was like a heroin junky. I had to have more! fast forward 3 months and here we are. The whole hobby is the thrill of the chase for me.
Quoted from twinturb089:The whole hobby is the thrill of the chase for me.
Could you chase down an nib Godzilla premium for me.
Quoted from Vyzer2:Could you chase down an nib Godzilla premium for me.
Thats easy. I have a nib at my shop I bought one if those last month, im saving it until x mas. Everyone says they are worth more then! Gz wasn’t my thing. I have a few machines i cant take home because my wife gave me a budget of 30k to spend on machines…. And from what i told her i paid for these machines so far. Im almost there. Lol

No kidding, you're over triple that budget already!
But I understand the addiction. Sooner or later you realize that your ideal collection will always be your current collection plus one. There is no end.

You sure are. These things are like rabbits. Well if the wife discovers gz, I’m here to ease your burden.

I was just busting you balls, that stern in box is a avengers iq premium i bought a few weeks ago for trade bait later in life, i bought a stern pirates and avengers hulk le as well. I like having a few to trade for some of the other games i want later , always just one more and then im done honey...... I promise!

This hobby is like fucking getting tattoo's. You get one and before you know it you have no room left. Thank god i never got ink. That's way harder to get out of after you are done with it.

Lift the pf and the board is on the lower left, the one with all the (blue) Ethernet jacks. Securing the micro-USB solved the problem for me.

Agreed and I find none of the GNR LE's I've found on location have any of that work done on them. I haven't found a GNR on location that plays nearly as well as my GNR at home. And if these "on-location" GNRs are what people are judging the game by, well no wonder so many people dislike it. Play one thats set up and maintained perfectly and I bet they would feel differently. But I understand that this game seems to be more work to setup/maintain than most and it's probably not profitable for an operator to put that much work into one game.
Just played my first SE on location. It was ragged out and played liked crap but I got the general feel. They even removed the skill shot and replaced the shooter and put on a firm spring to appease the masses and replicate the familiar power launch .Couldn't adjust to no upper playfield but it did shoot faster which has no value to me. No offense to the SE owners here but I am now very firmly in the camp that if you can swallow your pride and swap into an LE, well, I think you should.
Also for the first time got to play rush pro, gz premium, and toy story 4... Favorite was ts4, surprisingly, second gz. Rush was the biggest downer because it's a top band for me and it just felt empty and cheap. Not lz empty but close.
You better love rules above all because the game wasn't impressive to me. The time machine was the highlight. Screen way too small. I see why they are under 7k. Felt like something from Ikea. Ts4 was substantial and fun. Gz was the closest thing to something I could play over and over but the call outs got annoying fast and the delays in between balls adding up scores and calling out updating status slowed the fun for me. Maybe I'm missing something there. Too slow to get to the next ball.
I went in for rush but left the arcade appreciating gnr and wanting nothing because everything was being compared to my LE. My visit confirmed for me that I am content with my collection of 1.
I don't need another pin that i would just neglect because already have the most fun, best pin ever made. (Obligatory IMO)
Feels like that 70s battery commercial where Robert Conrad has the battery on his shoulder and says it's the best with confidence, I dare ya...
Quoted from Vespula:Just played my first SE on location. It was ragged out and played liked crap but I got the general feel. They even removed the skill shot and replaced the shooter and put on a firm spring to appease the masses and replicate the familiar power launch
Ugh, talk about some operator missing the point. So much for loading that CROWD meter up.
Quoted from Vespula:Congrats. That's what it's about!
As someone who loves the GnR pinball machine, but at the same time laments not having Rush because it's one of my favorite bands, I see you have both (Actually you have a stellar music pin lineup)... I lurk on the Rush owners forum And if I'm honest It looks really great, but there's a lot of tweaking and fixing going on and the way a lot of people enjoying that pinball machine reminds me of the GnR experience.
Someday I'm going to find one locally and go see what it's all about.... Because of the experience and feeling of the game you just had, that's why my GnR is bolted to the floor for this reason....but if I ever was going to get a second pinball machine...
I have a Rush Pro and the only issue I can remember having is a screw coming off of one of the plastics. I’m over 700 games in and I’ve only taken the glass off 2-3 times. There is are a bunch of machines that are having node 10 board issues but that is only on Premium/LE. It is challenging but a great shooter. I think you will love it.
My GNR has been a love/dislike (never hate) relationship. I’ve had problems with SDTM from auto launch, SDTM from center scoop eject, SDTM from guitar lock, and straight down right outlane when coming out of inner loop after dropping from upper playfield. When something like that is off it ruins the game for me and I stop playing until I finally get around to fixing it. But when everything is dialed in, I remember how much I love this game!

Just caught up on the thread and saw this. Sounds like Rush didn’t resonate. That’s surprising because even a lot of non Rush fans are loving that game. But great news is that you have the perfect game for you and you aren’t lusting over something different now and being tempted to spend a bunch more money. Guns ‘n f’ing Roses!!

You nailed it! no more lamenting! thats worth about $7k to me . LOL!
I think if JJP had done Rush I might feel different... I am new to the pinball ownership and JJP is just feels all out and more of a boutique brand ($$) to me and when I play Sterns they feel like they hold back and do what is common, better on location and do more of the minimum, where JJP seems to go all out and HomeUse centric...I am talking first impressions and build, more than rules. I dont want to pay $11k for a Rush LE, but I might if JJP had made it. I dunno... not trying to start argument, but I know these are pointed newbie comments, I know, but its where my immature assessment is right now.
Quoted from Wildbill327:If you’re one of the peps that think the mini wizard modes are pointless(lol)here’s proof that there is some meat on that bone. It’s been a while since I cranked up GnR but I was reminded why it’s so fun.
[quoted image]
I had no idea that kind of score was even achievable in that mode. I'm always reminded of how much more there is to exploit in GNR. I've a tendency to fall into comfortable routine and posts like this are such an encouraging and helpful reminder of that fact.
Need some assistance please. When I turn the game on everything loads properly. When the main screen comes on the coin door is open message is on the screen. The coin door is shut. If I open it with the game on nothing happens. The menu buttons on the inside of the coin door do not work. The interlock switch does nothing when I pull it out or push it in. The start button enters and exits the menu. Any troubleshooting help is much appreciated.
Quoted from estrader:Any troubleshooting help is much appreciated.
Check if the connectors are still on the two coin door fat white switches. Memory protect, lower one, gives that message.
Then turn the game off. Best have the playfield up for this. Follow the coin door harness right inside the cabinet. See the big connector for it ? Grab the wires on both sides and shove everything together as hard as you can. Or unplug it and down this when connecting back up.
That should get you going.
