Apologies if this has been covered but I was trying to increase the power to my upper right flipper(it’s at 20.) in the coil settings menu it indicates that the range for this flipper is 1-32 right next to it…but it is only going to 20 for me. Past 20 it just cycles back to 1. I’m on 1.22 code. Is this a software bug or intentional? Thx for any insight!

Maybe it's an attempt to keep the temp in a more reasonable range longer. That flipper easily got to 180F within 80 minutes in testing without cooling.
Hello
Could anyone help for cliffy installation on JJP GnR ?
I’m struggling installing right protector of the shooter eject
If I understand well, only the four first screws of the led bar have to be removed to install the right protection
But when I do that there is no enough gap to place it under the ramp, because the fasteners are too long to enable to lift up the led ramp
The studs are trapped inside the white led bar. Their length means the bar have to be lift a lot. I have removed all screws except the last one which is under the support bracket of the playfield with no access : -((
Despite that, no possibility to lift enough
Is there something I didn’t understand ?
See picture
Thanks

I lifted the white bar up just enough to slide the cliffy under it like you show. It had enough flexibility.
Quoted from deejaypee:Had to adjust the one way gate at the right ramp to keep balls from screaming back at me
What adjustment did you make here? I have the same issue sporadically, but unlike the shooter lane gate you can’t add washers to push the date down.

Somebody said there's nothing wrong with a little hole.
I replied that in your heart, lung or colon there certainly is.

kind of a bummer if that’s the case. I have your cooling fans installed and wish I could up the flipper strength past 20. Makes the inner loop way more satisfying with more power. It’s a little weak as is.

Yeah, I don't know if pinball_keefer can or will verify that's the reason the strength number is limited to just over 68% of max in the current code, but it is a bummer if it's being artificially limited to keep coil temps down for those without active cooling installed. Because when actively cooled, the temperatures are perfectly fine.
I'll finally (FINALLY) have my GnR machine on-site next month, so I can do a lot more testing and development on things like diverter cooling, magnet temps, etc much more quickly.

I feel like that's by design, you have to hit it true to make the loop.
It's different from the (glorious) POTC loop you can whip over and over.
I noticed that my Sling bumpers are not firing. Not sure if they ever have since delivery yesterday. In the test coil menu, everything else fires from cycling through the coil tests except the sling bumpers, both left & right do not fire. I checked the wiring to both coils and the 4 leaf switches and all looks good. I traced the connections back through the cabinet. I get sound effects when I hit the slings, but no coil fire manually testing.
I’m about to check the back box connections and fuses before looking over the schematics in the manual. Any troubleshooting suggestions would be greatly appreciated because I can’t figure it out. thanks!

They are on the 20v circuit so it will be the backbox connection almost certainly. J111 blue wires.

You are amazing, thanks for the help. J111 was only half way plugged in. I plugged it in completely and the slings are back. Thanks again!

No problem at all.

This makes a lot more sense to me as to why it's limited. Looking forward to being able to test it IRL myself!

2020 would be awesome.
Quoted from Blackjacker:What adjustment did you make here? I have the same issue sporadically, but unlike the shooter lane gate you can’t add washers to push the date down.
There are two hex nuts holding the gate to the plastic ramp (one might have a nut underneath that you have to hold?). Just loosen those up a little and on mine (and I’m sure yours), the gate had a slot hole so you can adjust left and right. I just made it so the gate was perpendicular to the target at the top of the ramp and it works like magic. Just tighten them back down and you’re good.

Sorry for taking this off-topic but just had to mention that I was just there today and had a GREAT time. I spent plenty of time on Pinball Circus and made it to the very top but only knocked down 2 of 3 clown teeth. I learned that nothing really happens after you hit the third one…knock down 32 teeth and you will win 10 free games. What a blast!

Verify that the wire moves freely when you press on it. As long as it does, just bend the wire down a little so it's not so high that it stops the ball.

Thanks. Also, i have a problem with the ball getting stuck on top right corner of playfield. It sits on one of those vibrating things. Heres a picture of the part. It usually will sit there for about 30 seconds to a minute than it will sense that its there and start vibrating again than thats when it moves. Do you know how to fix that?

There's a fix for that in the index. Click on "Topic Index" at the top of any page in this thread, then "Keypost summary" to sort by keyposts, then show all. You want to look in the TECH:Playfield section. Lots of good information there.

Sounds like your game might be too flat. Try increasing the angle by increasing the back legs height.

i fixed it with a litlle lip of flexible teflon. i cut and stuck it up the white popbumber ring and have had no ball stuck there for over 3 months now. It makes the trigger area of the popbumper a bit larger on the right side where the ball will be get stuck and activate the popbumber so the ball has no place to get stuck.
Hope it helps out.

If you look closely that switch isn’t centered in the cutout. You need to adjust it so that it’s not cockeyed that is the cause of the hang ups. First I would try to loosen the screw holding it under the playfield and reposition it and retighten it as centered as possible. Roll a ball slowly over it to test. If that doesn’t work then go to bending slightly.

Hey - silly issue but since day 1 I've had one dead on arrival rubber which I haven't been able to replace... It's the one below the left red plastic with the rose, above the AMP/GNR lanes.
After unscrewing the 2 nuts and partially unscrewing the nuts of the lightrail (seems I shouldn't unscrew them completely to avoid loosing them ?), I can lift the bottom part but the right part remains stuck. It's as if the plastic was glued to the right screw. I don't want to risk breaking it by applying lots of force . What should I do ?
(I uploaded a short video here if it helps : https://vimeo.com/590275302 )

Remove the screw/post with the circular plastic on it, and the nut pictured on the hotrail. You should be able to lift it enough to swap the rubber at that point. Sometimes the plastic gets caught on the threads and needs a bit of a wiggle.
Rules question. Is there a way to tell the song's value before starting the song? I'm sure there is, but I haven't found it.
