My first NIB is in at my reputable distributor. Question…. How were your games delivered to you all, in the box and unboxed and assembled in your home or unboxed and assembled remotely at the distributor location? I’m a bit nervous because my guy is assembling remotely then putting it on a truck…. Suggestions?

It probably gives your distributor time to set it up at his Leisure and check it all over . If he transports it correctly it shouldn't be an issue .
But nothing beats opening that box in your game room , getting that new pinball smell and pulling the protective plastic off and opening all the little packages yourself .

Sounds kinda sus imo, seems easier and safer to unbox at your house. I guess just make sure it has at least a July mfg date and Aug Playfield stamp, otherwise you might be getting somebody’s former machine. Or tell the guy you want the original box or you’d prefer he assemble it at your house. Why aren’t you assembling it, here’s a video

I'm getting my guy , to deliver it , set it up , put the cliffy's on and do all the mods . He's " bulletproofed "5 CE's and a few LE's .
I think it's worth it for the peace of mind and I don't want to pull off upperplayfields and other stuff , every time I do things like that I always have left over pieces

Congrats on getting it!
But yeah to echo the other members here.... you should 100% request he keep it IN the box, and deliver it to you and set it up at your house. There are so many great things that come with this! The excitement of unboxing. Taking it all out. Unwrapping and taking the shipping stuff out. Then setting it up with someone that knows how, in the place it's going to stay.
I would ask him (request) to please bring it in the box to your house and set it up WITH you. Grab a few beers and have fun man!

Maybe he could record the unboxing on his phone for you? And, capture the serial number during the recording.

Hey screaminr ! Not at all, maybe slightly to the opposite depending on your use model. It will make sense shortly.
How much did you pay for your game? Seems like a whole lot of effort. Don’t these games get shipped directly from JJP?
Quoted from stefallica:Hi JJP owners,
I just received my Guns LE, I need an info that will make me keep or sell the game !
I love the game as much as I hate the multiple multiball!
How can the designers let that one slip?
It ruins the whole experience, instead of appreciating the masterful theme and layout…I’m always wathing 2 inches above the flippers for too many balls!!!!
Am I the only one complaining ? Are they gonna correct the code?
Or Might as well sell it?
Thx
Stef
The pre-song multiballs are important for hitting jackpots and maximizing the four song boosters.
The in-song multiball is important to keep you alive.
In a song, clean up the playfield by shooting a few of the balls up onto the guitar neck. (Or all of them if you want a power chord award.)
This is the game. If it's not for you, I wouldn't expect sweeping changes to the gameplay.

If you bought the game on the release date without ever knowing anything about the code or the playfield issues and you Didn't realize that you were taking a risk of buying something you won't actually like, then I have no sympathy for you. Play the game first, or eat the loss when you realize you just bought it cause it was new and shiny. Or if you're lucky just flip it for a profit. Why come on here and complain about gameplay? You have had months of this game being streamed to figure out how you feel about this game.
I bought this game specifically because its multiball heavy, afterall the whole point of pinball is to keep the ball above the flippers and to get the highest score, or get to the wizard mode. The more balls you have the better chance you have of having a longer, higher scoring game. Why would you complain about this?
This game has improved my pinball skills a lot by concentrating on controlled play during the presong multiballs and also my 'on the fly' reactions during the song multiball. Learning how to take my time to form a strategy based on what is happening at the moment (patches, locks, which song is lit, etc.) All of these skills are transferable to any other game.
Quoted from Betelgeuse:I'm not sure this is correct after The Hobbit. The legs on POTC are longer than WPC legs. I'd suspect the same with GNR.
Dialed In, Pirates, Willy, and GNR. Legs are longer than Williams legs.

Officially listed as 30.5" long

This is true, the W/B are 28.5" as where the new JJP GNR, POTC etc are 30.5"
The hole pattern lines up perfect and they fit just fine, they are just 1.5" shorter then original legs. I assumed he was asking for the purpose of shorter legs for ceiling height
Quoted from JvdS:Hi All,
I was stupid enough to not making enough pictures doing work on mij GnR.
Does anybody know where this part (see picture) goes?

IMG_2992.jpegis there a way to disable the Slash Solo mode? Like you can disable Album Mode?
I want the option. When I'm killing a game and going to get my 3rd or 4th song, and Slash Solo gets in the way at the scoop... I just want to get a song. I don't want to do Slash Solo. It doesn't progress me at all, and another song could enable an album mode and make me closer to final wizard mode.
Also, I finally got to Shall We Play A Game. The beginning of the mode freaked me the hell out! I thought my machine broke! LOL That is a really great mode! Too bad there is only one song I like to play on that album. Still, really well done! Can't wait for the code to catch up with the Demolition mode as well.
oh, and got a new GC. like 38m for what it's worth.
Quoted from Damonator:If you are referring to the two main monitor links I posted - the first monitor is completely encased and you’ll have 2 cables that run under the apron. That’s the monitor I used.
The second monitor link is the same display, but the breakout board (the board with the power and video ports) is attached via a ribbon cable and can be mounted under the apron. I wouldn’t know which specific components you’ll need if you go this route - I just mentioned it was a possible alternate version.
The PF monitor I used has the breakout board attached to the monitor with double sided tape. I cut the double sided tape and mounted the breakout board under the apron using the ribbon cable extension.

Thanks Damonator for posting your mod and relying so quick. Now I understand that you had to use 2 different monitors because the PF monitor did not work with the one you originally had. Which monitor did you use for the PF and can it be used for both so they look the same on the apron?

anyone got a link to a replacement cherry switch for the JJP lockdown bar? Tried adjusting the bolt length and that's not it, tested it and we've got a flaky switch in there. I can only find #5647-09957-00 on Marco that is a similar build. Thanks!

Quoted from screaminr:So the GT is still the way to go .
Hey screaminr !
Well...not necessarily. I would put it this way. For GNR, if you plan to add externals such as a powered sub or stage / AV monitors, the GT facilititates these capabilities. But, many of the features of the GT are overkill for this title and there is a premium to get these features. Most guys don't go the external route and have been craving simplicity and the lower price point served by the KO.
We still offer the GT so if you want to go that route, we'll take great care of you!
Hope that helps.
Thanks,
Dan

Change it to 2500 spins in the settings. Helps a little. Then just cradle the ball when you do get it. It’ll keep counting down

But what about da sound?
Can audiophile ears hear a difference?
Over my years in all my A/B comparisons of amplifiers there's usually always SOME difference... Whether it's discrete circuitry, quality of electronics, all resulting in things like better dynamics, frequency sensitivity, soundstage, etc. For me even if the features aren't needed, if the GT sounds better, even slightly, that's the one I want!

I'm into overkill and will be adding a subwoofer and I want it loud enough to piss off some annoying Neighbours

Hey Vespula !
The final ampifier stage electronics are identical so there is no planned difference in sound, just features.
I agree with what you are saying in terms of hearing things if you listen to many copies. But, put another way, the variance within different amplifier model (GT to KO, or KO to GT), is not expected to be different compared with the variance within the same amplifier model (GT to GT, or KO to KO).
I strongly recommend that you choose based upon features.
Why did I think you already had a PinWoofer system in play for GNR???
Thanks!
Dan
Ok so my pyro target... And MAYBE my left stand up target on the right ramp... Are throwing the ball in the air every time I hit them. Especially the pyro target. It launches it like a VUK with no scoop! Last game I bet I had a dozen. Half of them land up on the stage by Axl. Some fly all the way across the playfield.
This just started. I did put a washer on the post next to it but the ball is not touching that washer at all. I don't think.... It shouldn't be able to anyway.
Any one ever experience this and have a fix? Can I just bend the target(s) down? I can't play it like this. It's a nightmare.

Yes - 2 different monitors are required because the main monitor is 1920x1080 and the PF monitor is 800x480. You can’t use the same monitor for both.
The Alibaba links I posted were for mirroring the main monitor (1920x1080). I used the monitor from the first Alibaba link, but posted the second link as a possible cheaper alternative with a breakout board.
The eBay link I posted was for the PF monitor (800x480).

I have a Pinwoofer KO amp in my GnR and it is awesome. Such a massive difference vs stock audio. I have both GT and KO amps, and they seem to have the same performance.

Thank You, Sir!... I sent you a private message last night... Not sure if you have seen it.
Spaghetti73 .... Sorry! It was another Pinsider I sent a PM to...
I had to walk away from my GNR and didn’t touch it for over a week.
Vacation is over so it’s back to heavy daily use again. According to the audits, our house sitter and their guests played it while I was away. They’re not really into pinball either.
Hit a 190 song level today, been awhile since I passed 175 after maxxing it a few weeks ago.
My biggest struggle with this game seems to be consistency regardless oF how well I’m playing and how much I accomplish with my strategies that have gotten me much higher scores in the past.

Bend the target bracket so it angles the target down about 10 degrees or so. It will bend back from ball hits over time, but this should take care of it for a while.
Quoted from PinMonk:Bend the target bracket so it angles the target down about 10 degrees or so. It will bend back from ball hits over time, but this should take care of it for a while.
I did this but also I think it was mostly from my damn wobbly record! It was shooting airballs up to the target and the target was bouncing them across the playfield!
I had to out a hole in the middle of the decal but I tightened that screw real good. There is ZERO wobble now. Just a great spinner! Thank goodness. I'll have to monitor it to see if it stays or loosens.
Calling JJP tomorrow to get some new record decals.
