Ordered a CE thru the JJP website a week ago and was worried on whether or not I would make the cut. JJP just called and has taken my 1k deposit. Delivery date is still to be determined.

So, are most of you ordering from JJP or a distributer. I called Jen and she said to order from my local distributor. He warranties the stuff he sells anyway whereas we know JJP does not.

JJP has a warranty.

I ordered through my distributor. They have nothing firm on shipping anything yet, but hopefully soon.
Quoted from zr11990:Since when?
With all due respect, why on earth would you think they didnt have a warranty?
Quoted from jandrea95:With all due respect, why on earth would you think they didnt have a warranty?
Because he read it somewhere on Pinside so it Must be true!
Quoted from zr11990:Since when?
Since they opened for business....what in the world made u believe NIB games didn't come with a warranty? The caveat to that is its technically for the original owner only (same as Stern, and CGC)

Ordered mine from a distributor.

Ordered a GNR LE from a distributor.
My dad ordered from a different distributor.
It's a race to see who gets one first lol.
Quoted from jandrea95:With all due respect, why on earth would you think they didnt have a warranty?
When dealing with tech support. I've found many people aren't aware of it. Or don't read it or misunderstand it.
From any manufacturer, they are often surprised the warranty is parts not labor.
LTG : )
JJP just charged my card $1k. Yay! Is everyone getting this or do they time it based one when the machine might ship? Interesting that they don't charge the full amount upfront.
1k deposit for everyone. They told me the CE would be shipped in the order in which transactions took place online.
So that begs a question, when exactly did the JJP website start taking orders? At 10am there was no order button on the page? We’re they taking calls?
I’m glad I got one. I’ll wait a long time probably

Its gonna be interesting to see how these are allocated although not sure it really matters. So it sounds like direct sales are first, and then they allocate for distributors? My guess is most won't see their game until Q1 2020, which is fine. I would be shocked if JJP even had all the materials in stock before they started selling the CE's

I paid in full to my distributor. Hope that means I get one of the first
LE #315 arrived in southwest suburbs of KC today. Ordered directly through JJP website Monday morning when they started allowing purchases (~ 12:30 cst). Arrived at the local depot on Thursday, but was out of town and had to wait until this a.m.
Have only been able to put a few plays on her so far, but: WOW what an unbelievable experience. I upped the main and upper right flipper strength a bit after one play; made a huge difference. Definitely plays challenging, but: the worries about monotony of modes in multi-ball/song modes is not an issue. Objectives are clear (though: achieving them < a lay-up w/ the incredible light/sound show). And the risk/reward of continuing songs vs. collecting jackpot is *brilliant* on first blush. Will see how it holds up over some serious play in the coming weeks.
No significant issues out of the box. Roll-over switches needed some adjusting (as is the case w/ every NIB pin I've ever bought). The only one GNR-specific item I'd share w/ new owners: my spinning record mech was sitting about 1/8" low. Caused some funky shot shapes, and: even had one ball find its way to rest on the platter (btw: "Spaghetti Incident" decal on mine; hoping the rumors of replacement stickers is true ). I tried adjusting the nut that holds the center post in place to no avail. It turns out the big white plastic "captain's wheel" (that's the shape it looks like to me) adjusts the depth of the mechanism. A few twists and mine was right as November rain. In the pic below, I'm pointing to it w/ my nut driver.
I hope everybody gets a chance to play one of these in person. Was *slightly* concerned about gameplay when watching the original videos, but: 0.0 reservation after spending some time with it today. Thrilled to have another awesome JJP in the lineup.

Great info. Would be good if people posted the time of their email confirmation from JJP and when their machines arrive and what model they got.
I ordered an LE and confirmation email at 12:38 PST.
Hoping to get a good record or like you, am hoping they have replacement stickers lol.
I’m glad to here the site started taking orders at 10:30am PST, in my zone. I thought the maybe site crashed at 10 or something. I was in at 10:37, After coffee and a few final moments of second guessing..
Thanks for the post regarding the record tweak.

Yep, Had to fix that myself on day one as well as the shaft falling out. Simple blue locktite (#425) and all fixed. Just trying to figure out how to do a disk Upgrade for a three record set.....lol

I hope that is true. I was told I was the first direct buyer to purchase one. I called exactly when they opened and ordered direct on the phone. I even told them about how their website wasn’t allowing purchasing only showed reserve now but you couldn’t click it.
They had no idea the website wasn’t working when I spoke to them. So that’s why you couldn’t order there till after they fixed it.
That’s wild! I saw the ‘reserve now’ button and it didn’t work. Thanks for telling them. Calling seems to be the ticket to the front anymore.
I tried to convince a friend who loves Pinball to order one, but no luck. I’m generally decent at getting people to spend their money.

Do you have access to any more of those or want to sell it?
Quoted from KingBW:LE owners might have some aftermarket mod upgrade options coming. These could be interesting.

Anybody order from a distributor today? Wondering what timing is looking like for deliveries now. Gotta save up a bit more but want to get in line. Need a few months. Wondering if they are weeks or months out at this point.
I placed my order last Wednesday with a pretty big distributor, best info he had on LEs was November so that could be anywhere from 2 weeks to six weeks
I plan on asking for an update at the end of the week and I will share any news I get

Interested to hear too.
Ordered and paid in full for a LE right at launch. My distributor has not heard a thing from JJP. How can they not know build order yet? Any info/timeline would be nice.
It'll get there when it get's there. What good is all the speculation, rumours and complaining going to do?

I sent my distro an email, they said JJP said they are still trying to work through their schedule and will be in touch with distros soon about lead times. That message was sent to them on Friday.

Because folks see others already getting theirs and we are eager to play! I think after spending 10k its not too much to ask for an approximate delivery window. I have my dad going in and of the hospital in another state and may need to plan around a delivery.

Who did you order through? I'm being told mine should drop ship from JJP tomorrow.
Maybe I had a long day and have to vent, or maybe some of you can relate. But JJP’s distribution model is certainly sucking the wind out of my sails. And maybe I should just proceed with my JP2 order than get stuck in this debacle. It seems like it’s always something with JJP. Am I wrong?

Congrats! BTW, how do you like TMNT? It's the only stern I have my eye on currently.
Yelobird already did a great job of explaining how the JJP model has worked in the past and present. Those are the posts to look up.
My opinion...downvote away..
Distributors have never provided me any service, help, put me on a list, or even called me back inside a 2 week period. I have tried and tried to buy through distributors. They always tell me to call the manufacturer if I have a problem. Although I have cash on hand, and route machines, I’m just not a special person to distributors.
I like the first come first serve model. It prevents lines from starting months before a reveal. Lines I can’t get in. If distributors wanted CEs then get in line buy them like everyone else.
But that is clearly the wrong attitude I have. Alright I’m done now. Hack away

I told my distributor back in September I wanted a CE regardless. So I was locked in to the number 1 position with them. Bam!

Didn’t you hear? All CE’s were cut from distributors. All 500 sold direct. Sorry buddy, better luck next time lol
Don’t worry. I will take a POTC CE plus 5k for mine. First to offer gets the game. Lol jk

Didn't they say that Back Alley Creations made all of the sculpts for GnR? It would be nice if they released some but pretty sure the ones they made for the CE will be exclusive.
