Quoted from pinballjah:

Thanks for confirming. I'm glad it is a bug and not an issue with the game. Are the known bugs listed anywhere?

Since 1.12 software that is the only SE specific bug that I know. There are bluetooth and wifi things that are being cleaned up as well and all that will be coming in the next update.

Anybody have any ideas regarding a homebrew topper for their LE?

Right now I've got this sound bar up there, held in place via some straps that connect to two of the countersunk bolts that help mount the built-in speaker enclosure to the head.

I'm not 100% sure I need something with another copy of the GNR logo that you see on the backglass... so, what else might tie in well?

Had it happen last night and I said it's likely already known and being addressed.

Wait a few weeks. The new Lior topper will be revealed and it's awesome. Expensive, but it will be a great topper for this pin that suits it well.

Don't cry reset bug has been confirmed on the SE and a fix is in the works for the next software update.

I believe there’s a reset bug with the LE, I haven’t tried to duplicate it yet. But if you hold both flippers in and hit the action button to before a song starts (to bring up the song selection) game will reset. Found this out when friend came over to play for first time, and his very first game as he was hitting flippers I reached over to hit the action button for him and boom reset. First time ever saw that.

Was wondering how one would push three buttons at the same time lol.

Not even 24 hours into ownership and made a nice mod to fill space on the stage.

The other speaker is taped to the right side, which was just a plastic with two exposed screw heads. Also serves the purpose of stopping fast balls coming up the ramp from sliding into the sidewall. This speaker overhang deflects any airballs right down and the right ramp feels really solid now.

Does anyone know if PinGraffix is doing blades for GnR?

#5660 3 years ago
Quoted from Animal:Does anyone know if PinGraffix is doing blades for GnR?

Hey neighbor m, I’m thinking black mirror for the win.

#5661 3 years ago

I'm considering it, with those leds on the side...be very nice. Sorry to hear you didn't get DP.

Quoted from Chetrico:

The left ramp diverter has a little play and now hitting the ramp. Before I start taking anything apart I wanted to check pinside to see if there is an easy fix. Thank you.

I had trouble with mine and posted in the CE thread how to adjust it. May help you too

Any aftermarket toppers out there yet ? Tiltopper laseriffic ect.

I have there on Le they look great. “Legendary” is spot on...

Quoted from GeekedOnPinball:

Just bought someone else's spot for an LE and I'm super excited. Haven't played the game at all yet, just watched videos but it looks amazing. My first JJP ever!
Any must-have mods for this?

Nothing a “must” have- game is just so good out of box. I’d prioritize action button guns/Roses mod and under/behind cabinet lighting. The ramp signs are not expensive but look really good.

Quoted from moat-pin:

Awesome, would you mind posting a photo of yours with the blades installed?

#5668 3 years ago

How is the sound out of the LE stock? Does it need an external sub like stern music pins? The CE came with an extra sound bar, correct? Are LE owners adding these?

#5669 3 years ago

Is there a setting to completely remove the song "This I Love" and never speak of it again?

WTF were they thinking adding that song instead of ANYTHING else?

It was literally the first song played on the first game I played. My wife came downstairs to check out the game and was like, "what the hell is this crap?" I had to agree and said it must be a song from Chinese Democracy. Not a good first impression at all.

I have these on mine, they look great! Just a reminder to everyone though... there’s barely any room between cabinet and playfield so my blades got nicked right away. That sucked! Oh well, I need some of the blade protectors now.

Here are some pics;

Like how your able to take the play field right our and put on a table, how tricky was that?

I agree completely. I don't understand why they would ruin an otherwise great looking blade with that huge text.

I did the same ones but scuffed them alittle when put the playfield back in. Super tight fit. Great addition to the pin. Bummed that I spent the money and the pinblades just to accidentally hit them. Still looks great and no one noticed the blemishes except me of course.

#5677 3 years ago

I have installed many side blades and never had to remove a playfield, can't imagine that was easy, seems very stressful and a lot could go wrong vs. nicking a $75 pair of side blades.

#5678 3 years ago

Mirror blades look good and my old eyes appreciate the small amount of extra reflected light that they contribute too.

I found there was plenty of room to install the set with the pf in the upright position, and there's also a little side to side play that you can use to your advantage when installing. Meaning that you can move the pf oh, maybe a quarter of an inch towards the opposite side to make it easier to work the blades into position, then switch sides and do the same thing.

Exploring if there is any interest in a trade for a NIB Rick & Morty Blood Sucker(with most options except Butter cab) for a GnR LE? Pm me if so.

I took the tilt Bob out for the pics because it was causing a glare...

Ha ha!

Actually, I totally forgot to put it in and I’ll blame it on getting Rick and Morty right after GNR. Truth be told though, I play RM a lot more than GNR. And, yes, the tilt Bob is installed on Rick and Morty!

On GNR I definitely don’t push the game around that much anyway... nudging yes and a lot. Oh well! Not like I was posting any big scores on the thread anyway or trying to hide anything! My GC score is too embarrassing to post here so I won’t even say what it is.

Good catch though! (You ball buster!!!)

I’ll make sure to get that installed ASAP!

So super easy and worth it to remove. There’s usually plenty of wiring to remove it but you just have to keep it close to the machine. Also, you just need a second pair of hands. My 12 year old has helped me before and my wife helped me on GNR.

Here’s a pic of mine with playfield removed. Tool chest is the perfect height and size for it.

Strange you mention it as we find it's one of the more difficult games to tilt. Even POTC is easier to tilt.

#5684 3 years ago
Quoted from Looprunner:

This started again after about 50 games. Did some testing and it appears to be the wheel. Every time I hit the flipper button the wheel moves a very small amount and registers points.

The wheel was a red herring. This happened a few more times and the wheel wasn't an issue. It turns out, it's the left target on the left ramp. I just bent it back a small amount. I'm not sure if that's the best way to fix a overly sensitive target.

#5685 3 years ago
Quoted from zaphX:

Mine is impossible to tilt. Of course the tilt isn't hooked up. JJP games usually involve nudging. Customers know to not abuse and that they can nudge.

Lol! I’m more likely to pull a muscle than tilt this game out.

I’m looking for some side blades for G&R LE.. I’m not too sure on the LEGENDARY ones, and not keen on the speaker ones..

I do like the mirror blades from Pingrafix for AFM & DI..

Made a mod for the stage. Now the stage is looking fleshed out, nice effects with the mods and something to look at instead of ignore.

I disagree with Evans out of bounds there. In Madden I would have hit "O" to do a spin move. I would have scored there.

Wrong thread, my bad.

yeah. It’s an RGB LED “tv” light strip for $5 clearance at Walmart. Plugs into a USB port for power. Easy peasy.

I've done 8 sideblades with play field up in the past, but thinking mirrors so this is an option!!

#5697 3 years ago

Bally/Williams mirror blades do not fit. I have a set of gold mirror blades I have planned for The Shadow. Tested and the hole for the back box hinge is off enough to not fit. Needs to slide back a little further and does not have the clearance.

Too bad, because the gold blades look amazing.

So I used a little bit of double sided tape because the bolt holes are off by a quarter of an inch due to the wood under the back box Getting in the way. They look great and I will keep them until I need them back for the shadow.
