152 cases here in Arizona, with 2 deaths. I think just on Wednesday or Thursday it was 40-50 cases.

Most businesses here are closed, aside from grocery stores. Many food places are take-out/drive thru only. Never seen so many people out jogging/walking.

Grocery stores have actually calmed down compared to less than a week ago. Many are enforcing limits.

I'll actually be going to work on Monday, where we are considered essential, managing a warehouse for a electrical distributor for commercial businesses.

Is the President of Slovakia single?
Either my heart has stopped or the tightness in my chest is COVID-19.[quoted image]

I sure am a 90s kid. As soon as I saw the pic of them looking like female ninjas, I heard "MORTAL KOMBAAAAT" in my head.

Quoted from Trogdor:

If it drives into voters minds that having supply chains and jobs in foreign countries is idiotic and destroys a middle class we desperately need- he can call it IdiotChineseCommunist virus for all I care.

As long as politicians and CEOs are forever in cahoots with their shared love of money, I dont think that will ever change. I think it comes down to the consumer boycotting things if they truly do not support it's origin, but that is sometimes hard to do for some.

Quoted from CrazyLevi:

Well, we are gonna need them, cause keeping hotels and golf courses open is more important to some people than keeping us off ventilators.

Yeah, real easy for Dan Patrick to talk like he's some kind of fucking patriotic martyr when he's safe and sound in his mansion.

You just know there are people out there who will do it.

Just from my own observations in the past few weeks, it's amazing how society is still doing a piss poor job at taking this seriously. We've grown as a culture where even the slightest inconveniences just cannot be tolerated. This is really shaping to be a very slow wake up call for many.

Quoted from PantherCityPins:

If you touched a surface that had coronavirus on it and then touched your cheek or chin then yes it's possible you could get it.
Don't touch your face while you are out in public and wash or sanitize your hands after you touch any public surface. If you are inside your home and have washed your hands since coming in from the public then it should be ok to touch your face at that point.
It's hard, I never knew how much I touched my face during the day until now!

I learned just after high school how many germs you can really pick up just by touching your face.

In high school I had acne problems on the sides of my head at eye level. I also had a habit of resting my head on my hand while sitting at a school desk. For years now, I made it a habit to avoid touching my face with my hands at work and was only certain to do it if my hands were recently washed. I havent had ance problems since. Never needed to invest in acne "cures" or face wipes or anything. All it took was a realization.

I can only imagine how difficult it is for some people to get into the habit of not touching their face, not knowing how dirty their hands really are. Hopefully they have a realization too.

Quoted from CrazyLevi:

Man people should lay off smoking and vaping right now.
I’m sticking with edibles.

Having a few and rockin' the Centaur is one of my favorite momentary escapes from all of this.

Quoted from Reality_Studio:

It's not 50/50, it also seems to depend on general health. For example people are being hit by this harder in the south:
https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2020/04/coronavirus-unique-threat-south-young-people/609241/
I attached a few sample pics to show how general health is worse with people in the south, so they will be more vulnerable. It's part of the reason many are puzzled why the south hasn't been more aggressive with lock downs.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Damn. Straight up BBQ-heavy states.

I used to live in Hoover, AL as a teenager, just outside of Birmigham. Let's just say you didnt have to drive very far to find a BBQ joint. And all of them were good in their own way.

Obviously, years of eating that on a routine basis will take a toll on your health.

I certainly respect the person in the photo, but I always found it silly for internet land to always be on the lookout for the latest "hero we need right now." And it always follows with a fashion description of some kind like we cant see the photo in the first place.

If only people would be smart enough to isolate themselves, the heroes would eventually have less to deal with. Ya know, like just "one simple trick."

There is so much going on in this.

Total discipline and also you know the lady had to be expecting it. So many countries are taking this way more serious than here.

Could you imagine how many Americans would try to sue? The person with the spray is doing them a favor, because he could technically sue her for attempted murder, if this had taken place in the US.

I think in the coming years, it will become a thing where people will now consider coughs or sneezes as attempted murder.

I just found it interesting.

Quoted from iceman44:

Seriously? Of course i do believe this 1000%
I’m not living in a world of doom and gloom
I see South Korea and China going back to work.
We have to do the same.
How about some positive approach amidst all the chaos?
It’s gonna get better, much better over the next 30 days
Australia has reported 30 deaths. Where are you coming from?

China is a mystery and full of shit. They've "controlled" it in ways that no one can imagine.

South Korea? You really think the US has the combined intellect of South Korea? South Korea was disciplined enough to carry out a plan of action. I dont see too much of that going on here. People either too stubborn, too selfish, or too stupid to give a shit about what happens to others.

Were so divided and so far up our own asses as a society, that we cant even do simple things like stay home or wash our hands to save lives.

Our leaders are clueless (or just really good bullshitters that only care about money) and the majority of people are beyond distracted by whatever dumb fucking viral video has made the news or by some dipshit celebrity on their fake social media. We praise our doctors and medical personal, but no one can do their own part to help them get some relief.

So yeah, let's cry about the economy all day. The reality is people need to do their part before anyone can go back to work. Unless you're under the mindset of some of our "leaders" that insist we should just put ourselves at risk and go back to work while they shelter in their mansions and we just say "fuck my life, I'll die for the economy! USA USA!"

Quoted from Tubes:

It's just like the Book of Apocalypse said, man wants to tag people's right hand and only with the mark will you be allowed to buy and sell.

I learned all about that from Iron Maiden's third album.

For a bit of levity, cyclones play field is in and looks wonderful. That is very cool to see the pinball in the subway with the clear inserts. More pinball machines should be doing this.

Tell me about it.
New Zealand’s strict 4 week lockdown got me to pull out my Cirqus Voltaire that had been folded up since 2010 (!!) and actually make it live again.
Thanks lockdown!
