Got my second shot yesterday. Felt pretty terrible for most of today, including a fever of 100 degrees. Things are starting to turn around though and can only imagine what actual COVID would be like.

I mean, businesses can already not serve you for myriad reasons. Maybe we can think of vaccination like Club membership, Jacket required. There was a place in Detroit recently that refuses to serve you if you are wearing sneakers or smell like pot smoke.

Schools here in Iowa cannot require masking. Our governor made that decision for us without about 2 weeks left to go in the school year. I'd say we were about 10% masked after that.
Looks like other states, recently Florida, have done the same.

I hope masks help. Had a student leave class today that had to come to me to tell me they weren’t feeling well. Nurse came back for all the stuff later. I’m vaxxed and masked, my student is not. Hoping it is just the strep that’s been floating around but guessing we’re seeing a fair share of Covid too (although they can’t tell us and we don’t contract trace).
