Quoted from cottonm4:

One of the things that happens, in San Fransisco homeless, is that the city can put up porta-potties and then the thugs/gangs start exacting tolls from the homeless to use the porta-pottie.

These must be the dumbest gangs ever.
What are you gonna get, a grocery cart? A quarter?

Quoted from Blitzburgh99:

Cortez The Killer"
He came dancing across the water
With his galleons and guns
Looking for the new world
In that palace in the sun.
On the shore lay Montezuma
With his coca leaves and pearls
In his halls he often wondered
With the secrets of the worlds.
And his subjects
Gathered 'round him
Like the leaves around a tree
In their clothes of many colors
For the angry gods to see.
And the women all were beautiful
And the men stood
Straight and strong
They offered life in sacrifice
So that others could go on.
Hate was just a legend
And war was never known
The people worked together
And they lifted many stones.
And they carried them
To the flatlands
But they died along the way
And they built up
With their bare hands
What we still can't do today.
And I know she's living there
And she loves me to this day
I still can't remember when
Or how I lost my way.
He came dancing across the water
Cortez, Cortez
What a killer.

Man I love this track. Wanted to see his tour last year SO bad but didn't want to fork over $800 for a ticket.

Duane Allman wasn't the most talented on a Les Paul, but he played with more heart than 100 mf's.

"I've had my fun...if I don't ever get well no more"

#2557 4 years ago

Kinda eerie how a lot of the Allman Bros catalogue is more relevant now than ever.
-My health is fading, yeah I'm goin down slow...
-Cause I'm hungry, for dreams I'll never see, help me baby, or this will surely be the end of me
-But I'll live on, and I'll be strong, cause it just ain't my cross to bear...
Etc.
Just an Allman Brothers bluesy kinda evening here in my quarantine.
Cheers to you all.

#2559 4 years ago

Swampfire, from GA, likes the Allman Brothers?
NO WAY!
Gods there, amirite?

It's not "eerie" at all. They played the blues. It's actually pretty fckn simple.

After a year and half of zero problems, my Target Alpha won't start a game. All lights are on, all score reels are at 0. Just won't eject ball into shooter lane. This is my most played machine! Could someone maybe pm me with a starting point please?

Target Alpha still not fixed. Somebody needs to come over. At a distance of course.

#5493 4 years ago

Sorry to hear that Daditude. We had that happen to us during the Anthem fiasco. Luckily we got 2 free years of Life Lock out of it and that seemed to work. Wish you the best man.

#5523 4 years ago

Our house has a weird layout cause it was built by a plumber. Power washing the circle driveway up top takes me 2 days, so I've been putting off this little porch for years. Didn't realize how having it nice and clean would make me so damn happy. This is my downstairs porch/smokers lounge.
Only took me about 90 min too.
Dad's happy!

PSA: About 10 minutes ago I just received my fourth scam email (in two days) from some asshats pretending to be PayPal. They want you to log in. The first 2 were easy to spot with their bad grammar. The last 2 actually looked legit. Never log into anything from an email! I know most of you are smarter than this, but we all have parents who may not realize. Stay safe!

#7341 4 years ago

I bought my ACDC off of Iceman. Spoke with him on the phone quite a bit and it was a great deal, everything was as described. He's a good dude. Polarizing as hell and a total shit stirrer yeah, but a good dude who is a lot smarter than everyone thinks.
However, in this particular scenario, I'm gonna have to heed the good doctor's advice and not my tax attorney's.

Quoted from Who-Dey:

He said we would be back to normal in a month or so and that's what's going to happen looks like. The President is getting ready to open the country back up. He also said that this isnt going to turn out to be as bad as what most people are thinking, well it looks like he is right about that also.
He never said this was nothing, he just said it's not as bad as what alot of people are thinking. I actually agreed with him at first and then I ended up not agreeing with him and I even personally told him that. He told me to just wait and see. Well I've waited and it's starting to look like he was right all along, maybe this wasnt as bad as what all of the experts were predicting it would be.

Man you gotta ease up on your grip a little or you might accidentally castrate him.

I'm just doing what I've done my entire life--trying to give you a laugh. I know quite a few of you irl, and they know this. I'm all about THE JOKE, always have been.
If that dumb meme yesterday came across as homophobic, that is NOT how I meant it. Quite the opposite really.
I just like making people laugh. Always have.
Much love to you all. Even you conservative bastards.

Haha. Man I miss you Cincy guys. But esp you and Pat. Gonna have to rectify that soon.
Swampfire shoulda bought that $160, 500 watt bad mf that Vid recommended a few years ago. Pisses my neighbors off GREATLY.

Quoted from phil-lee:

By the way GRZZ, I apologize if I have pissed you off. I'm not normally an asshole but this current mess sure brings out the worst. No excuses, hope you are hacking out happiness.

No apology necessary man. We butted heads over a year ago over some religious differences. Then I realized I'm a grown man and I don't have to believe what you do, but I should respect your right to believe what you want.
About 10 pages ago you said something that kinda pissed me off and I responded by posting a few anti-Jesus memes. I removed them after posting them. I thought they were funny, but also a low-blow. Trying harder to "be nice".
Weird times man, weird times.
Cheers bud.

Quoted from Mr68:

The break in this thread was great for me to clear my head, consider things, and research Covid-19.
I'm done with the extreme isolation I've been in and I find myself wanting to become infected. This is not an impulsive idea or a deathwish. I'm in excellent health and from what I've read, the great majority of infected people survive it and many with a range of tolerable symptoms.
With a vaccine a year or more away I'm not willing to live my life in guarded worry for that long. Allowing myself to become infected would give me the immunity I seek and I could then help people by donating blood, my energy, whatever.
So I began brainstorming on how to accomplish my goal of infection while keeping others safe. I don't mind experimenting on myself but how do I do it without harming others and this is what I've come up with.
I email my doctor and told him that I wish to voluntarily become infected via any clinical studies. I'm waiting to hear back from him. I also called my local hospital but they didn't have anything. Lastly, I Googled and found this: "Human challenge trials, where healthy volunteers would be exposed to Covid-19"
Link: https://www.vox.com/future-perfect/2020/4/9/21209593/coronavirus-vaccine-human-trials-explained
It's an interesting read and has a link to submit your email for consideration in the study, IF a study like this happens. I submitted my email but have taken no further actions to verify the websites legitimacy or anything else about it. I just found it this morning and I want to continue to searching the internet. Please do your homework if interested and let me know.
I will continue to wear a face mask and practice safety protocols but something's gotta give. Any feedback or ideas welcomed.

Please don't do that buddy.

Quoted from Jaybird815:

Do not buy this $9 bottle of gas station hand sanitizer, it literally smells like vomit.

Another drunk purchase, nice. Your drunk purchases really deserve their own thread.

Quoted from gweempose:

How do you keep your sunglasses from fogging up?

He doesn't. Esp helps with not being able to see the aftermath of his wake.

Quoted from gambit3113:

Fauci is popular. The administration is not. It’s insanity that they would throw him under the bus, but everyone saw him telegraphing that pitch. Whatever. He’s got bigger fish to fry with Howard Stern.

Hey man nice to see you back again.

Quoted from Mr68:

Thanks, you've given me an idea. As I said, I've been using my glasses to pin my mask down. But it might be more efficient if I were to repurpose a paperclip or something similar with a sticky value to it. I'm going to look through my junk drawer or wander through Home Depot for something I might use.
Hopefully I won't sacrifice my cool factor and look silly.

Ahh so it's a profit deal...

Just found out my favorite pinball bar in Indy has closed up. Sucks.
RIP Sinking Ship.

Quoted from Mr68:

Due to sport injuries and age, I had become accustomed to therapeutic massage on a semi-regular basis. I would also use home remedies in between sessions and now with isolation, I have gone to them exclusively.
A foam roller and "The Stick" do really well for me and I hope you find the attached pictures helpful and self explanatory. You can also find a ton of video instructions on the internet.
Maybe pinball related, maybe not, but one issue I had was tendonitis at the elbow in both arms. It wasn't pictured on the instruction chart but I devised a way of laying on the floor and pinning The Stick with my body weight on my arm. By placing it directly on the tendon, beginning at the joint, I slowly rolled the tendon out by gliding my body over it lengthwise. Man, did that ever work great and in short order.
In fact, all of these exercises gives me great relief and they're easy to do.
I hope everyone finds this useful and a nice break from the political undertones that dominate this thread.

Unless you're using that stick like ole Ben in The Accountant then you're doing it all wrong K.

Well today we went from gatherings of 10 or less to now 100 or less. Seems legit.

It's race day. Normally I'd be 6 beers deep already. This year I'm already 600 calories deep, and I've only been up for a half hour.

We interrupt your regularly scheduled programming to bring you this clip of Jim Nabors doing his final performance of "Back Home Again in Indiana" at the 2014 Indianapolis 500.
RIP Jim, you are surely missed today.

Quoted from twoplays25c:

The Virus is GONE here at my nearest Lowes in PA this afternoon. Special Mennonite and Redneck COVID antigens at work, I suppose.
My county is still Red Phase requiring masks and distancing....these are 4 of the 6 in the custom paint line without masks....and they got served!! UGH.
Oh and the woman in the orange is pregnant, too. That kid is destined to inherit some awesome genes in the smarts department.

For some odd reason that pic reminds me of the song I took my wife's garter off to at our wedding reception.

One thing I can't figure out...if Ford and GM re-tooled some factories to ramp up vent production and Charmin and Angel Soft production and sales skyrocketed, how come 3M hasnt tripled their manufacturing of N65 masks? It's been 3 months, and I havent heard a single story of them stepping up. Maybe a supply chain issue? Whatever their reason, its unacceptable.

Quoted from gambit3113:

Yeah, we are out of ICU space and they are moving adults to the children's hospital, and the doctors here are begging us to please stay home and quit infecting one another because they cannot keep up. But imma just tell them to fuck off with that noise because a dude on a pinball forum says it's all fake news. Time to high step down to the mall.

Post of the month right there. Nothing funny about this virus but damn I guffawed on this one. *HIGH STEP DOWN TO THE MALL LOLOL*
