Quoted from Astropin:

I do not believe China's reported numbers for 1 second...they make no sense knowing what we know about this virus and their population density. Regardless of what steps they may have taken.

Quoted from PantherCityPins:

I haven’t seen any of the videos and it honestly sounds like more conspiracy theories.
Here in Texas I can tell you my hospitals parking lot is about half full and that is because the hospital is limiting who can come in and has canceled elective procedures. So, all the traffic of people who are coming in to visit a patient or have an elective surgery, or have a colonoscopy, or an elective cardiac procedure, etc. all those patients are gone.

Quoted from loneacer:

Guy in line behind me waiting to get in Walmart was ranting about this being a biological weapon and we're all going to get it and die. Then he was in front of me at the register and was repeating the same stuff to the teenage cashier. He didn't have a mask on.

People used to explain what they couldn’t understand as “magic.” Now, conspiracy theories. Just a modern twist on a classic.

Quoted from Daditude:

I was hoping to go out camping with the family. Just getting away from everything...but the governor just announced all our state parks are now closed

Tough times for the folks who are living out of their vehicles. I’d considered getting an RV or camper van and ditching rent for awhile, but where do you go when they close access to nature?

Quoted from Daditude:

Anyone else's car getting 3 weeks to the gallon right now?

Was just thinking about firing it up and driving around the block quick, to make sure the battery keeps a charge.

Quoted from toastbot:

By far the worst thing I've ever drank on purpose:[quoted image]

Yup, when you wanted the 8.1% over the 8%... It was almost tolerable if you got it super ice cold hahaha

Quoted from Jaybird815:

Same exact caps on these around these parts.[quoted image]

Red Dog caps... if you cover half of the dog and turn it upside down, it looks like Spider-Man going down on Spider-Woman xD

Pretty sure our initial lockdown period was to get our hospitals and testing capacities all straightened out, not to make anything go away... Ahh well, at least we sorta tried?

Quoted from ForceFlow:

I doubt those people listed in the "staying at come" category have *never* left their homes.
Grocery stores, post offices, picking up food take-out, delivery services, gas stations, outings to parks or trails (potentially touching handrails)...there are a still a lot of potential exposure vectors during limited outings or interactions with delivery people/items even if you're staying home 90% of the time.

Yeah, I interpreted it as "it only takes an exposure", not even an interaction.

Quoted from o-din:

They just said today the USA had it's second highest day of new infections yet, and certain experts are saying we have only experienced the beginning of this pandemic.
Just in time.

Mesa Golfland/Sunsplash just emailed to let me know they are currently open for minigolf, and the water park is opening on Monday.

Quoted from cottonm4:

Kansas is opening up. I thought I might try to get a haircut appt. set up. No haircut since February.
Looks like I will continue waiting

I’m sticking with my #3 coronacut. Have to buzz it about once a week to keep it looking sharp, but I dig it now. Give it a shot

Quoted from Sinistarrett:

One thing I dont understand is this “sheep” talk.

It’s playground bully speak. Which, corresponds to the critical thinking ability level involved as well.

Quoted from gweempose:

Tough for teachers too. My wife just found out yesterday that her position as junior high librarian is being eliminated this year. They just can't figure out a way to safely incorporate the library into the curriculum.

Do they pay severance? Local teachers here apparently have to pay $2000 to break their teaching contract if they don’t want to go back to in person teaching and catch COVID this fall.
