Quoted from razorsedge:

Seen this and had to laugh
If you didn't laugh you'd have to cry... we can't help but have a laugh and some banter around here, even when the Chops are down ... (NSFW)

....aaaand then the state based banter comes along, cos we love it Lol

Sorry screaminr
In all seriousness, Stay Safe there... we're all relying on some "karens" pulling their head in.

Great videos razor , it's funny how a hitman has become an Australian icon but Melbourne crims have been doing it since Ned Kelly .

Victoria is now in stage 4 Lockdown .
You can only go out for exercise for one hour a day .
Only one person can go shopping within a 5 kilometre radius
You need a special permit to go to work .
If you do not have your permit on you , it's $1,600 plus in fines .
If your business gives you a false permit it's $100,000 fine .
If you have tested positive and you're not at home , checked by the police and army its a $5,000 , fine if you're not home a second time it's $10,000 .
My wife and I are very lucky , she can work from home and I work for an essential business making medical equipment .
Business that were too close are allowed to stay open because they supply us , for example the powder coaters were going to shut down but because we need them , they are allowed to stay open , same as the people who supply us with glue and staples .
Luckily I think we will survive this but many other businesses won't be able to survive 6 weeks of shutdown .
As bad as all of this is , most people are sad about missing the footy

What's the netting up & between the buildings??

Not exactly sure , but I think it's wire that is used for White Night festival .
I can hear you now razorsedge we do have a festival for everything

Quoted from noob-a-tron:The netting is for 5g and if you go past it your head explodes.
Lol its actually for our tram system i think.

The main ones are for trams and the rest are for decoration including white night .

Quoted from razorsedge:

"The man and woman were fined $1652 for breaching COVID-19 restrictions when stopped by police in Wyndham. People cannot travel further than five kilometres when leaving home for a lawful reason under Melbourne's stage four restrictions."
"The couple's fines were among a record-breaking 276 infringements issued in the past 24 hours to people for breaching the Chief Health Officer's directions."
https://www.9news.com.au/national/victoria-police-issue-record-number-of-fines-for-covid19-restriction-breaches/1170e43d-a619-4e39-a138-2c1204c0efd9?ref=BP_RSS_ninenews_4_excuses-rulebreakers-give-for-breaching-restrictions_100820

From what I've seen everyone's been obeying the rules . There has been a few dick heads doing the wrong thing , like the ones trying to organize an anti mask protest . The cops arrested them before they could even get started . But overall everyone seems to be doing the right thing .

Quoted from cottonm4:

( Wally is joined at the hip with China). So is Apple with your iPhone. And so is Harbor Freight with its cheap tools. And so is Australia.

Not anymore .
They have put ban's and increased tariffs on our meat and barley and other exports . They have told their citizens not to travel here because we are racist and have called our government and our country lots of derogatory names .
They are going to execute an Australian drug dealer that they've had for over 7 years .
All because we want an enquiry to where this virus started , we oppose their man-made islands and we won't let them build our 5g and have sided with the US amongst other things .
If it comes down to it, , I don't want their cheap shit I'd rather pay more for locally-produced products .
My neighbours are Chinese and a very nice people but the Communist government of China aren't very nice people to put it politely .

We're allowed out for 1 hour a day for exercise but you can't go more than 5 k's from home , luckily the beach is 3 k's away . The dogs had fun .
Daditude , sunsets are your department but I thought this was a good one .

Quoted from Oaken:

A PSA to please wear your helmets while ATVing.
My wife’s last patient today came into the clinic instead of the hospital because he was worried about covid (and fear of hospitals in general I would guess).
His official reason for the visit was for a headache. My wife took one look and said “I see pieces of your skull sticking out and a chunk missing. that’s no headache”. Sent him for scans. The radiologist called and said he needed to be transferred to a specialist hospital. My wife said he was a walk in and refused to go to the ER and went home. Radiologist was shocked the dude was walking.
My wife has a strong stomach, but she had no appetite tonight.
There is reasonable fear of covid and hospitals....and then there is insanity.

Maybe the head injuries knocked the common sense out of him .
I wouldn't want to go to a hospital at the moment , our local hospital has over 600 staff isolated due to an outbreak but if you have to go you have to go .

Quoted from razorsedge:

Ha, you get arrested just for opposing lockdown!

She didn't get arrested for opposing the lockdown .
She got arrested for organising a protest and inciting people to gather in numbers . She was interviewed on the radio yesterday and started off by saying all right things , like I'm sorry and I didn't know it was illegal , by the end of it she said she wasn't sorry and would do it all over again . The cops have arrested two other guys for trying to organise protests .
We have been locked down for almost 5 weeks and our numbers have been steadily going down .
The last thing we need is dick heads like these trying to ruin all the hard work that has been done and this Lockdown would be for nothing .
If we continue the hard work for a bit longer hopefully our numbers will get low enough so we can open backup with confidence , like you guys in SA .

Quoted from noob-a-tron:

Just do not do it after Curfew you get arrested in Melbourne for that.

Technically putting your bin out isn't one of the four reasons you're allowed to leave your house , no matter what time of the day .

#18306 3 years ago
Quoted from razorsedge:

Lockdown and a china like police state is the solution then you think?. There are plenty of ways for mitigating outbreak without that, we proved it.

If restricting people's movements isn't the best way to stop the spread of the virus please let us know .
Masks are mandatory here and if there are plenty of ways to stop the spread , Victoria would love to hear it . As you said you're proved it even though your borders are closed .

#18322 3 years ago
Quoted from razorsedge:

we had plenty of cases here

You've only had over 400 cases since this has all begun .
We were at over 700 cases a day .

Quoted from razorsedge:

But if you wan't this level 4 thing, hey, you do you... Go for it.

We were at stage 3 Lockdown but that wasn't working .
With stage 4 we have from 700 down to 70 cases a day , and still going down .
You talk like we're happy with the situation , I suppose it is easy to give judgement when you're not actually affected by it .

You still haven't said what you've done differently to stop to spread of the virus .
The dumb c@*ts were out protesting today , about their human rights , being locked down , what about everyone's else's rights about trying to stop this virus . The cops smashed them and I'm glad they did .

#18351 3 years ago

I really can't be stuffed replying but there's nothing on TV , so here we go .

Quoted from razorsedge:

we accepted offers of ADF help with hotel quarantine, instead of employing Retarded "untrained", knuckle-dragging rent-a-cop fu@k boys... etc.

You're right 99% of our 2nd wave came from 2 hotels . Hotel quarantine was a total fuck up.

Quoted from razorsedge:

If we done it the way you guys did we would probably be on hundreds of cases per day right now too.

So if you had hundreds of cases a day , you would just open up like everything is normal .

Quoted from razorsedge:

We stopped at 400 or so cases because of respect for stage 3 "Guidelines"! The differences seem to be in the Actions of "People", authorities And citizens. Wasn't keen to push the point but you obviously want to see it again... lol

Yes we had people who didn't obey the rules and didn't respect stage 3 guide lines and spread the virus . That forced us to go into stage 4 and no I don't want to see that again ( I don't know why you would say that .)

Quoted from razorsedge:

As much as it's pokey standup comedy, he absolutely hits the nail on the head.

Yes we can agree chopper is funny as .

Quoted from razorsedge:

Your crazy premier simply never waited anywhere near long enough to identify if it was in fact working sufficiently, or not.

We had mandatory mask wearing and in stage 3 Lockdown , for 3 weeks and numbers were still going up , would you wait till the numbers got to 1000-2000- 5000 a day before you made changes .

Quoted from razorsedge:

What about the public right of people to be exposed to Regular seasonal viruses? ... to be allowed to gain any amount of actual natural resistance.

So if you have /had a mum and dad , you'd be happy to see them to be exposed to the coronavirus to see if they build up resistance

Quoted from razorsedge:

You'll end up in handcuffs in your Own House, like that heavily pregnant woman making "kooky" posts online.

That woman wasn't heavily pregnant . She was 7 weeks pregnant and going for her first ultrasound , she didn't even have a baby bump . She wasn't making " kooky " protests online , she was trying to organise a mass gathering during a pandemic .
Don't make up stuff to make your argument sound more convincing .
As you said , if people followed the rules we wouldn't be in this situation , yet your advocating people gather in large numbers .
You're a good guy razor and I don't want to argue but obviously we have a difference of opinion , and that's ok , it would be boring if everyone thought the same
We have gone from 700 cases to around 40 today , the plan is working , we should try to stamp it out as much as possible while we can .
The government has said they will lift restrictions sooner if numbers are low enough .
We don't want to end up like jlm33 -France and have the whole thing blow up again .
PS - can you do a number of shorter posts , that makes it easier to respond to

Quoted from noob-a-tron:

Sorry to hear that news. But my Friend died when we were 18 he had an Asthma attack. Point is people get sick and die all the time. You may catch this and have no symptoms. Why live in Fear!

Asthma is something you're born with . This is a new thing that can kill you .
Sure you might catch it and have no symptoms but you could also get it and have permanent damage or die .
If you're in a vulnerable category , I can totally understand why you would be scared to catch it .
I know I'm Out numbered by Victorians on pinside but not Melbournians .
Some people think our Lockdown is too harsh but Channel 9 had a poll , 71% of people approving of the extended Lockdown .
We have gone from around 700 cases a day to around 30 today .
The plan is working and hopefully Australia can go back to normal sooner rather than later .

Quoted from Gunnut40:

I’m screwed. oaken is correct! My grammar is awful. This is part of the reason why I deleted Facebook. My words are not fully understood and misunderstood. It doesn’t help at all. I’m juiced up on beer when I’m posting. My mind goes a million miles per second. My typing is about five light years behind. Hell I read some of my shit and damn. I don’t even know how to take it. I guess with a grain of salt?
Anyways before this turns into a Johnny post. People are stir crazy right now. Let’s try to keep a open mind. Try and talk to them like you want to talked to. I’m hard working factory worker that might be the best advice. All can say put a little bit of filter on. I’m trying swear.

For someone with awful grammar , this is one of the best put together and thought out posts I have read .

Quoted from noob-a-tron:

I heard Poland is doing really well not having a lock down like Melbourne. Also heard that their economy is booming. Interesting that we are basically what Poland was and Poland is what we were.

I don't know why you think Poland is going so well , we're doing a lot better than them .
6 of 8 states had 0 cases today .
42 new cases for the whole country .
Chin-up , we'll be back to normal ( as much as any country ) before you know it .

Quoted from razorsedge:

vic economy/employment is screwed real soon if you haven't twigged yet. The Severity of your restrictions there has been Beyond ridiculous for more than a week now.

You need to look at the bright side razor , it's not all gloom and doom .

#18529 3 years ago
Quoted from noob-a-tron:

Yes thank you watch this space very soon projecting within 6 months

So now it's Poland " will " be better than us in 6 months , I doubt it .
44 new cases today for the country , we've almost got this beat .

Got anything to positively contribute?

Victoria had 14 new cases today , 18 for Australia .

#18739 3 years ago
Quoted from BazilBLast:

Victoria had 14 new cases today , 18 for Australia .

Our numbers are a bit up and down , 24 today , 11 yesterday .
Personally I'd rather be in lockdown a bit longer to stamp this out , than to be like England where they're back up to over 4000 cases a day .
Wuhan where this all started was in lockdown for 6 weeks , we're up to 7 weeks .
They had a lot harsher Lockdown than us but it does show you , if you're prepared to do it , you can minimise this virus .

#18787 3 years ago
Quoted from razorsedge:

Yeah hey, look at England or the UK huh...
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/uk/
Without selectively ignoring statistical data. UK same as nearly everywhere else. Covid is done but the propoganda machine is not. Coverage of deaths is gone now that they happen so much less... instead focusing on "infection" in a bid to keep fear rolling along. It is blatant in the "news media" here too.
[quoted image]
[quoted image]
Ignorance is not the answer.
If nobody has picked up on it, China is letting it run because that turns out to be more sensible and effective than unsustainable "containment". They will all have good resistance there eventually... and some parts of the west, well, not so much. Of course, they are trying to keep it pretty low key, for a multitude of reasons.
It was once front and centre. We now have to look Waaaaaaayy down the bottom of the page, scroll endlessly, after every other form of data you care to imagine, we find the daily deaths data and charts... you don't need to be looking at that too much though ...
Blinkers off everyone!

Yeah , England is cracking down hard .
The pubs have to close by 10 p.m.
An English correspondent was on the radio today and he said they could be at 50,000 cases a day with the way it's going and they're going to have restrictions for 6 more months .
They're an Island like us and could get on top of it if they wanted .
The way I see it is - you have two options .
1 Have a proper Lockdown and try to crush it .
2 Business as usual and whatever happens , happens .
What's the point in half doing it , you'll still have deaths and stuff your economy .
Both options suck but if I had to choose one , I would go with number one .
Economies can bounce back but dead people can't .

#18796 3 years ago
Quoted from Ericpinballfan:

Just like spanish flu 100 years ago....most of the world got it by troops returning home from WWI.
Fast forward to Covid....most of the world got it by flying people around the planet from Dec- till April lockdown.
If only Facemasks would had been mandatory by Jan 31st, we would have 2/3 less global death.
Good luck all, second wave coming to a country near you by Dec again.
My favorite new catch phrase...
It's a Pandemic Folks!

99% of our second wave cases have come from 2 hotels , where overseas travellers were meant to be in quarantine . The government employed slack arse security guards instead of the police or army to guard the hotels .
My mate came back from Thailand and was in lockdown in a city hotel , yet they would let him out to go for a jog

#18817 3 years ago
Quoted from razorsedge:

The dumb thing to do is crazy extreme lockdown, like Vic..

Yeah , our crazy extreme Lockdown has had us go from over 700 cases a day , down to 12 today .

Quoted from razorsedge:

Can I ask there mate, did you lose your job or livelyhood or ability to live? ...

I haven't lost my job , I make medical equipment and we have been flat out because of all of this .

Quoted from razorsedge:

it doesn't seem like you care a whole lot for many whom have?

Actually it's the opposite , because I care about businesses and people who have lost their jobs is why I want our country to get back to normal as soon as possible .
I suppose it's easy to make judgements when South Australia has had under 500 cases and 4 deaths , where as we have had over 20,000 cases and almost 800 deaths .

Quoted from BazilBLast:

No one here would disagree that the hotel quarantine was a total f**** up.

I do give him credit for not caving in to the opposition and people with views like you . If we'd relaxed these restrictions ages ago like you suggested , we would have had thousands of deaths and many more cases by now .
That would hold the whole country back .

#18826 3 years ago
Quoted from Daditude:

I saw this on Reddit:[quoted image]

At least in 536 AD they didn't have to wear face masks and could still go to theme parks . In 2020 , we have to sit on the couch and speak to people via the Internet .

#18871 3 years ago
Quoted from razorsedge:

Level 3 is by far the most extreme you ever needed, and not for this long even.

You keep saying this but what you can't grasp is , we were in lockdown level 3 with mandatory masks for weeks and the numbers were skyrocketing . If we had continued like that , we would have had thousands of cases a day and the associated deaths .
Today we had 5 new cases and 1 death .
Say what you want but the plan is working .

#18872 3 years ago
Quoted from razorsedge:

Just .... uuhhg .... speaks volumes

Now it's established you can't recognise sarcasm , I will use this emoji just for you

#18901 3 years ago
Quoted from razorsedge:

The data tells the story .

Sure does . Proves my point , 7th of July stage 3 comes in , almost a month later cases are still going up , stage 4 is introduced and the numbers start to go down

#18902 3 years ago
Quoted from razorsedge:

Sorry I couldn't pick your bizzare "sarcasm"

If you couldn't tell I was being sarcastic when I said people could go to theme parks in 536 a.d. well ... I don't know what to say

#19100 3 years ago

We can go fishing now but you can't go more than 5 k's from home , luckily for me the beach is 3 ks away . You can only go out for 2 hours per day but if you go at 10pm you can come home at 2 a.m.

#19101 3 years ago

Today the first time in months we have had 0 deaths .
Yeah , yeah , I know razor you think we're destroying the country but just let us have this one little milestone .

#19105 3 years ago

Thanks mate , we can always argue the rights and wrongs of our lockdown later on
