Quoted from woody76:

I have been taking this drug for years when I go to Africa with zero problems. It has been around for 65 years. The drug is 100% safe and will have some side effects in some just like all prescription drugs.

I am happy you have been doing just ducky with it. Please read the FDA reports on it.

Man we are coming up on fourth time around on some of these memes lately

I got a fresh one in the barrel but it's all about timing. - Not all of us can play guitar and rock out with a smoke machine.

I just got some humor out of this one, so I figured I would share it.

I demand more cat memes!

Yes...but do you ship poutine and Nanaima bars to American brothers in need?

And ketchup chips ..

I just found out that my contract with Comcast won’t be renewed after it ends in June. I’ve been there for 3 years, working for a little IOT startup that was mostly spared the first round of layoffs. My boss is not happy. I’m more depressed about never getting together with my team again, than I am about the loss of the job. And I’m really going to miss Philadelphia, my second home since 2017.

It’s relevant here, because this lay-off was 100% due to the virus. Ah well, I guess trees gotta lose a few limbs in a storm.

My wife stitched her first mask yesterday. 2nd design will be better but hey, first attempt. She says it looks more inviting then my n95 mask. Think I'll get her to make one out of one of my Harley Davidson bandanas or a Pilsner or Molson Canadian mini flag

At least people aren't posting those stupid Corona Beer memes. You can tell a lot about a persons sense of humor when they post those. Cheap, obvious, low hanging fruit.

Ketchup chips aren't my favorite, but I do like all-dressed chips.

If you can’t find any little metal bands to insert for the nose piece part, pipe cleaners cut to size work ok.

Also you can try to cut out the ones from the used professional masks and slot them into the homemade ones.

It's basically what we do here at 7. I don't think it's a bad idea even in a nice suburban neighborhood.

Btw if you guys want masks check out Etsy, lots of made in the USA masks with cool patterns for $10 shipped free. I got a video game themed one.

Don't forget the Canadians eh? I stand with my brothers too.

I wish some of you Maple Leafers would come down and bring me a box of fine Cuban cigars. Canada is trading partners with Cuba. We can't get them here

Oh man, this completely. I posted something similar to this on my FB page on "Armed Forces Day" (May 16th). As an American and a Veteran myself, I have immense respect for our WWII, Korea, and Vietnam Veterans. And compared to the sacrifices that they, and their generation, were asked to make...wearing a mask when you go out shopping ain't sh*t.

Talk about getting some damn perspective!

Routinely given to U.S. forces deployed to certain parts of Africa and South America. When I deployed to those areas in the 1980 the entire team took the drug with no side effects or issues.

Always brother!

Great to hear it . We all have to stick together .
China has really cracked the shits with us , apparently they're telling their power plants not to buy our coal .
I might do a boycott of my own , I'll stop buying their sweet and sour pork , crispy fried wontons , lemon chicken ...... um , well now I think about it I might have to come up with something else .

But were you obese, elderly, had an underlying heart condition, and/or an illness that stresses the heart at the time?

#14434 3 years ago

Australia now has 101 Corona virus deaths .
We've had a lockdown and a lot of businesses have had to shut . Meanwhile , Sweden has had no Lockdown and now have the most deaths per capita in the world , I hope their economy is doing well .

#14435 3 years ago

I'm sensing Covid fatigue in myself. While I still follow safety protocols and most likely will the remainder of my life, I feel like I'm dropping my guard somewhat. And my sense is other people are doing the same from my observations locally.
Plus I'm reading reports about people opening their business back up in defiance of local or state authorities. And not just bars for cavalier boozing it up as portrayed in the media. I'm seeing health gyms, beauty salons and restaurants with thoughtful owners making a stand and their customers are in full support and lining up.

On one hand I find this troublesome but on the other hand I respect the work ethic and rebel spirit that makes us all so great. I've begun thinking that government control is an illusion on this and it's now the tail wagging the dog. This country is going to open itself up no matter what our politicians do or say.

Look man, when we said we were willing to sacrifice for our country we kinda just meant "pose with our guns", not wear a mask!

The dose given to prevent malaria is lower than the dose used in COVID and you are giving a malaria prophylaxis to an otherwise healthy person while in COVID you are giving it to someone already sick and in the hospital.

Can’t compare the two.

In fact an article just came out in the Lancet that shows higher death rates and higher risk of cardiac rhythm problems in COVID patients treated with Hydroxychloroquine, Chloroquine or either of the two plus azithromycin.

https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(20)31180-6/fulltext

This article will be the final nail in the coffin for these drugs in COVID patients for any but the crackpot Bakersfield yokels.

I would hope that the President’s physician stops his treatment immediately based on this article if he hasn’t already (and if the President was ever even on it).

#14443 3 years ago

Hydroxychloroquine is a great drug, just not for COVID. My wife was on it for years to treat her rheumatoid arthritis. It improved the quality of her life immensely.

Sister has had R/A for many years. According to her, if she misses her meds for a short time she will suffer, but can get back to her normal in a few months. We take a pill for a headache and it's gone. These drugs don't work like that. They take time to fight their ailments. She's always talking about the people with lupus who take alot longer to get back to their normal. I saw her go through this lately. She said alot of pharmacists got wise when they saw a spike in prescriptions from doctors. They understand that Lupus patients really need this drug. With R/A patients needing it as well. I can't imagine hoarding a medication that others actually need because my crazy uncle told me he knows it works. While the majority of reputable scientists in this field of medicine disagree.

Stern games are assembled in the USA with some American made parts .
There is a range of Indian made mobile phones .
Lowe TVs are made in Germany .
You can buy Australian made toys .
There are alternatives to Chinese products but you're right it's really hard to avoid the Chinese products , when they make most of the stuff we buy

Are LEDs made in any other country besides China?

#14448 3 years ago

No Minnesota State Fair.

No surprise.

Quoted from cottonm4:

Technically yes , India makes range of LED lights but I don't know about pinball LEDs
As China's wages go up , a lot of manufacturing is going to India , Bangladesh and other third world countries .
