Well, that’s disappointing. I’m already committed though, so on we go.
Quoted from PtownPin:Hope what this does is bring back a shit ton of jobs and manufacturing to the USA. Our leaders have been saying this for years, and maybe this tragedy provides the tools and the political will to make it happen.
Looks like japan has had enough.

Here’s some of the information you’ll find to help the veterinary community and animal owners meet the challenges posed by COVID-19.

I'm posting this link in regards to message I just received about a person in York Pa that has two cats that tested positive for coronavirus.
Quoted from arcademojo:Pets and coronavirus.
Yes, I am staying at least 6 feet away from all the raccoons and squirrels. Neighbor's cats invading my property get... never mind.
Quoted from o-din:Yes, I am staying at least 6 feet away from all the raccoons and squirrels. Neighbor's cats invading my property get... never mind.
If I had a cat, I’d keep it indoors. It’s only natural that as “cats with corona” gets more play in the media, it’s going to endanger pets that are allowed to roam around onto others’ property.
Quoted from wrb1977:Honest question...assuming we did know in November, do you think we knew the severity of the virus? There is no wrong answer as I’m just curious what you think.
And did China? I doubt it. I am not thinking there is not enough evidence of malicious coverup instead of just typical nation-state caution and general incompetence.
Personally, I'd prefer to look at this as a global pandemic instead of blaming any one country and saying it's their fault.
Quoted from CrazyLevi:If I had a cat, I’d keep it indoors. It’s only natural that as “cats with corona” gets more play in the media, it’s going to endanger pets that are allowed to roam around onto others’ property.
Anytime a cat shows up I try to be friendly because I am a lover of most animals. But they always act like they are being devious and I am some kind of enemy. Well then, so be it.
So does this mean they can't eat them anymore?

Fiber?

"The germ has gotten so brilliant that the antibiotic can't keep up with it ... there's a whole genius to it ... not only is it hidden, but it's very smart."
There is a video on Youtube from 1978 called Shocking Asia. They were eating bats back then . This pathogen could have been floating in one form or another, grabbed and potentially weaponized. And with Kansas the new home to Plum Island ....

Shit man, that’s crazy.
There were about 450 confirmed coronavirus cases in the area of the treatment facility, but researchers estimated that the number of people actually infected with coronavirus is between 2,300 and 115,000, Newsweek reported. But Eric Alm, one of the study’s authors, emphasized that while they can detect the virus in urine and feces, people are not at risk of getting the disease through sewage, Newsweek reported.

Was commonly and easily found "Made in the USA" without effort. Like, Kmart and Walmart and walgreens and Lowes and sears all had shelves piled high with American output. And it wasn't all that long ago!
But now MIUSA is all boutique, artisan, and holy grail effort. Mass retail is populated by entire stores that wouldn't know American Made if a bald eagle shat ammunition on their (made in China) door steps.
It didn't have to be that way. And just as easily as it was all shipped there to chase profit by teaching a nation of know-nothings how to work for slave wages, the knowledge and ability and tooling could transfer back here.
Well, if not for profits, and environments, and whatever the excuses will be. Got a 401K? Then make sure those profits are maximized against your own best interest...
Those were the days. We also had more pollution. Then there are the unions. Is it worth a strong middle class to increase prices on most manufactured goods and make it difficult to breath? I would vote yes but I have money to blow on pinball.
I also found out that the garlic powder I’ve been using is from China. How? What? Huh?..Hope it’s garlic..

With the clubhouse closed, we've got seven pinball machines set up in here right now.
Quoted from Oaken:No, there has been a huge reduction in volume here. Covid surge hasn’t happened yet. All knee surgery, back surgery, dental surgery, health exams, psych sessions, etc... canceled.
Basically all non emergency medicine shutdown. That’s a lot of medicine.
I had some outpatient cancer surgery on Monday. I was supposed to be at the hospital at 9:10 for a 10:10 procedure. The place was so empty, they had the surgery completed by 9:45. It took longer waiting to get a prescription filled at the pharmacy than it did for everything else combined.

Saw that too. Not sure how that’s gonna work out, especially now that there are concerns over flare ups and repeat infections.
I have no clue when this thing is gonna finally blow over, and I am not confident that anyone else knows either.

The only way we're getting out of this is with a vaccine. Those flare ups and repeat infections are some scary shit!!
If they do come up with a vaccine, I think it would be pointless to get without a prior test to see if you already had it.
We want more of this in my city. Let's reclaim streets for walking and biking and give people enough room to maintain good distances. Street traffic is way down.
Wonder how many of these broad daylight corona-virus (masks and gloves) robberies we will see during lock down?

This may have been brought up, but I was talking with a friend about how us with pinball machines to play and work on are way better prepared for extended time at home than those without. I hear others are just beating their wives instead. Or their wives are beating them.

LOL. Please tell me what news source isn't objective driven and hasn't had many retracted (false) news articles. Go ahead I need a good laugh.

I have an indoor cat that is due for a rabies shot in about a week. I think I will hold off on taking her to get the shot. She is not going to get rabies in my house and I don't think it is worth it to possibly get her sick from the virus or to bring in virus contamination from her carrier to me, my car and house. I also don't believe anybody in the scientific community is 100% sure that my cat could not give the virus to us humans.
