Wish I was closer to toast you sir!
Hope to cut out of work early
Quoted from PaulCoff:I go to Golden State Pinball for the powder soap in the bathrooms. It reminds me of public elementary school. Love that stuff.
I’m also hoping to play Pulp Fiction.
Sorry to disappoint you

Quoted from Ericpinballfan:Awesome Show! Tons of games.
Where and what time is the swap meet tomorrow morning?
You probably found out by now, but it's at 10 in the covered area between the two buildings. Hope to see you and catch up.

More like 9. Or may e even 8. I got there about 9 and the trading was already going on. I blew my cash by 9:30 (mostly on Williams System 6 parts boards) and a few manuals.

Glad you enjoyed Grand Prix! It's been busy almost every time I've walked by it. I turned it up even a bit more so hopefully you could hear some of the Italian.
Here are a few pics I've taken so far.
Nice walkthrough video here:

That's why I buy Boraxo shaker cans of this stuff by the case for the garage shop sink. Love the way that soap cuts through grimy hands:

I found half a box here and I'm taking it home.

Tag Team Tussle got 271 plays. KWT was the only one to make the high score list. SRH collected the most Bonus Awards in a game with 5.
I am so glad we had an actual Homebrew section this year and I hope to see it expand in coming years. Thanks for the great show!

Hey, that's me! Thanks for bringing it over to share!!! Had a great time playing it!!!
Great show! I arrived at two am on Saturday and went to camp silver ball. Sunday pinball all day. (Did not win any pins, sadly.)
The show was full of pinball. Well worth the seven hour trip north for me.
I think if I am lucky, I will be spending my time at golden state pinball for the next fifteen years of my life.
Seeing the friends I have made in pinball is like seeing my loved ones. My true family and friends.
I am truly blessed in some way.
Golden state pinball is like family. It was yesterday and already next year is looking pretty good.
See you there in 2024.
Quoted from fireball2:Home with the shwag... 12 hours sleep in 4 days.
So. Much. Fun. So. Very. Tired.
[quoted image]
Glad to see you made it home safely! Sorry I never made it over to camp to hang but outside of the show I had some pressing issues to attend to so I did my best to balance. I am going to do my best to spend more worry free time next year. Good to see you none the less, buddy!
My personal Winner for Best in Show was Kill Bill.
Amazing game, hope it can be made some day.
Close Second was IO Moon.
Thank you to all that brought games.
I was pleasantly surprised by Galactic Tank Force. The center targets are just as punishing as BK:SoR, I liked the various shots available, and the lighting and visual package were unique.
Many thanks to Toyz Unlimited for bringing GTF (and the other American Pinball games) to the show!
It was great to see a lot of you again this year. The dinner on Friday evening was awesome, and the late night pinball was great too.
Being a Tech again this year was a lot of fun, even after I hurt my back moving games on Thursday. It didn't slow me down too much. Some guys come to play, I come to the show to get my hands dirty in machines.
I'm looking forward to next year!
Quoted from ScreaminSauce:I was pleasantly surprised by Galactic Tank Force. Many thanks to Toyz Unlimited for bringing GTF (and the other American Pinball games) to the show!
I am happy we were able to make it happen, it was a great first show for us at Toyz Unlimited and hoping we can do it again next year.
I do not understand the GTF hype. I put 500 million up on it the first time I touched it but found it to be exactly zero fun. a topic for another thread
also isn't kill bill a wcs94 retheme? Odds seem long on that one getting mass produced imho

I love the artwork on GTF and the game play was just ok for me but my biggest gripe was the sound. I played both machines before the crowd came in and the sound was low and distorted as if the speakers were way under powered. There was some good shake to the cabinet but something was seriously amiss with the backbox speakers and it totally killed the experience for me. I do give AP credit for the original theme and artwork though. Perhaps the crowd feedback will give them some thoughts on updated rules etc. My favorite was 007 pro. I played a 2 player game and we knocked some kick ass combos on that one, nice flow and fast, just wish I could have heard the game and that dancing missile….. plenty of jokes were heard in reference to it. Foo Fighters was a good play but didn’t have the first impressions as 007. Once again I didn’t get a chance to play Kill Bill, it was off the one time I had time to go play it.
Quoted from Cheddar:A nice note from a fan

I heard somebody yelling at the top of their lungs about a car in the loading area at load out yesterday. After 3 days we were all a little punchy most definitely not excluding myself.
Some selected randoms from the show
A few more randoms
Thanks to everyone who came out to play pin golf! Here's the stats from it: https://next.matchplay.events/tournaments/104285/stats/rounds
- Hardest hole was The Incredible Hulk and easiest was Bobby Orr's Power Play
- average over all the holes was 2.9 strokes so just under par!
I didn't get all the scoresheets back so I suspect there were a bunch more folks who never were able to find me to hand in their scoresheets or just played it on their own for fun. Next year I will try and be more organized about it as it seemed like a lot of people were interested in it again this year.
Thanks to all the organizers and those who brought games, volunteered, etc.!
Oh and some pix (mostly from the tournaments): https://store.orangephotography.com/p914333041

2: Lost in Space: 15M
3: Cactus Canyon Continued: 10M
4: AC/DC: 10M
5: Alien: 4M
6: Bobby Orr's Power Play: 75L
7: TNA: 100K
8: Night Moves: 420K
9: The Incredible Hulk: 125K
That was a great time..My son and I were there friday and sat. The techs did a great job keeping the games going, I know thats not easy to do with crowds like that.
Lots of really cool games we had not played before, as well as some nicely mod'ed games. It is fun to see what some people do to make their machine unique.
Thanks to all who helped out.

KB started out as WCS, though the current game has about twice the coil count as a modern game. I don’t think any manufacturer would make this game as is.
Feature list
Wcs vs KB
Flippers
2 v 3
Pop bumpers
3 v 1
Magnets
2 v 5
Up posts
1 v 4
Screens
1 v 2
Spinning balls
1 v 0
Saucers
3 v 0
Scoops
2 v 4
Shaker
0 v 1
Thanks for anybody who played it any feedback welcome…
Sorry it was down Saturday night for a period of time, went out to eat and came back and the game was turned off due to a stuck ball.
I was pretty happy with the limited down time. I had to pull the glass four times all weekend. 2 stuck balls, 1 flipper spring fell off, and guide rail needed to be reattached all pretty minor fixes.
I think the show may have set some kind of record for most number of South Park games at one show. There were 5 of them there.

Hidey-Ho! I think 3 of them were for sale, it was nice to see another color DMD version besides mine!
BTW: Huge shout out for all your tech help, as always you went above and beyond!
