The Golden State Pinball Festival newsletter is hitting email boxes now. Make sure you are on their mailing list. It's jam packed with good stuff!
See you all in 23 days!

Looks like JJ has pledged a Hobbit, a DI and a Pirates. And I am really looking forward to playing pinheadpierre's Moulin Rouge and San Francisco. I am still kicking mice elf for not picking up a Moulin Rouge when I had the chance a few years ago. Great game! And SF is a GREAT head to head competition/drinking/gambling game. I used to have one awhile back. And I am sure these two will be super shweet!

    Mo' games! Mo games!

    22 daze!

Of course you (or anyone else who wishes to) may share this pic any way that they wish to.

    Shared that pic!

I was lucky enough to just get a look at the floor layout. Three connected buildings full of pins and vendors! The floor plan is very well thought out and smart, the team is working overtime to make this first show in Lodi amazing. Time to get excited people.

It looks like I will not be able to bring in LOTR to Lodi. So now I have to figure out what to substitute for it.

    The candidates are:
    1. My restoration candidate Funhouse... The machine works ok, and I just rebuilt the flippers. However, the playfield is in rough shape, and I am worried that the game mechanically won't last all weekend without a breakdown.

    2. My Whirlwind... This one, the playfield is in pretty good shape, and mechanically I think it will hold up better than the Funhouse. However the cabinet is beat up.

So which one should I bring? I can't bring both as I don't have room in my suburban.

The one less likely to breakdown. We don't care about no ugly cabinets.

What he said. ^ Petty pins are nice but playability is king.

Ericpinballfan any chance you will be bringing your Houdini?

Seth, I havent forgotten you or my Lodi friends.
Actually working hard on it all week, kept seeing your email in my gmail, another call to AP.
Im one of a small handful of beta testers amd got another box of parts this week, also beta testing code.
Long story short , its coming down to which distributor may, or may not come. Either way, myself and American Pinball are trying to get a game to Lodi. I mean, im really hounding them.
Also might get a couple AP guys to fly out to show.
Sorry for the delay on confirmation, but I should have more news come Monday or Tuesday.
Trying to make the magic happen, get one more set of rules and code update, and make sure machine has new shaker motor.

Thanks for everything you do for us Eric. We have an overhead projection rig we can put on it Saturday to sweeten the deal if that helps.

Friday at Pinball University! Free with admission! Kill Bill Pinball!
    Come see the live demo!
Kill Bill is a custom pinball machine running on the P-ROC Pinball Control System. The game is based on the legendary Quentin Tarantino movie. Kill Bill was developed on a Bally World Cup Soccer, but nearly a dozen playfield changes needed to be made. Visuals are running on two screens: a 27” HD-screen as well as a classic pinball dot-matrix screen. Learn how the film Kill Bill inspired game rules, display animations, music, software and artwork to turn this game into a roaring rampage of revenge! What does it take to convert a friendly game of soccer into a machine to kill for?
Starting in 2011, with almost no experience in pinball programming, Dennis Vanderpass set out to make a serious dent in pinball forever! Fast forward to 2018 and three machines have been totally re-programmed for a full custom experience extravaganza. From Demolition Man on Steroids (new software), The Matrix (re-theme) and his latest project Kill Bill (complete re-theme, playfield and hardware changes) it’s been quite a ride! What’s common in all of his projects? Know the rules, break the rules, make the rules!

I am attending on the Saturday full day.

My first trip ever to Lodi! It was not exactly simple for me to attend this year. I don't want to miss because it is the first. In fifteen years I can say yes I was there at the first one.

    Just like arcade expo.

    Well just sayin.....

    Quoted from mrgone:

FLASH! I have news pinheads. I have the titles of the two games to be raffled off at the 2017 pin a go go pinball show.
I will reveal them later this week.
For now I'm going to let you have a little fun guessing.
One is an alphanumeric game. it is a Williams game.
the other is an em. the em is a western theme.

    Quoted from mrgone:

Daley won with his guess of diner.
And pinwiztom won with his guess of little chief.
    There you have it pinheads.
The raffle games for the 2017 pin a go go are
Williams diner and Williams little chief.
Thank you to everyone for playing.
The winners will each receive a 2017 pin a go go poster and I will be sending them out as soon as I receive them.

If you guys aren't announcing this year, that's cool. Just something else to look forward to

    #696 1 year ago
