Hi all !

Tired to see that a lot of people are complained about the lack of ramp/stuff and the right flipper oriented game, i had an idea that can add a bit of variety and a very beautiful ramp for the eyes.

It still in development but i plan to make an all-in kit untill the end of the year !

Full stainless Sword of Rage ramp

Full stainless new deviator

No pinball modification, reversible mod in 30 min !

So i come here to taste the water, please let me know if you are interested in, i will make a list !

Thanks !

Romain

BINGO Romain !!!!

is this "the" big idea !?

for me, very promising as completly changing that right side only feeling...
really digging to see more, and how it will now play as it

#3 4 years ago

Can't get the point there.
It's changing the right side only ramp by a left side only?

Unless you come up with an active diverter linked to a software change that would either direct left or right depending on some conditions, then it's useless.

Nice but really don't get the point. If you think the game is too right oriented, just stop back-handing the locks.

?

The left orbit goes to the VUK who shot the ball on the sword ramp : Left return.

The flail ramp goes to the original wireform ramp : Right return.

More balanced gameplay

#5 4 years ago

although I am an LE owner, that is a pretty cool mod right there. and I love that its totally reversible if you wanted to sell or didn't like it.

nice work! the creativity here amazes me!!

#6 4 years ago

Dang that looks cool. Nice job. Always seemed like a bad idea to me to have both those shots feed the same return. Wish I could try this

#7 4 years ago

I like it. Let me know if it goes into production.

#8 4 years ago

Yes feeding the ball to the left will really add some equalizing depth to game play. Im in for sure. You did an awesome job designing the sword to match the one the BK is holding. My only thought would be to perhaps shorten the batwing on the inside up one knuckle as to not cover the orbit lane. While the art may not match 100% at that point I feel its an acceptable compromise. Either way looks awesome and great work!

#9 4 years ago

This is really cool! It would be great to see some video of it working.

#10 4 years ago
Quoted from Nihonmasa:

Nice but really don't get the point.

Yes, you really don't (it seems. Or you just don't mind that's ok of course).

Did you PLAY the game?

There are three shots that all lead to the one ramp in the game, feeding the right flipper.

With this mod, it'd be two shots that feed right and on that feeds left.
Just like with most games.

#11 4 years ago

I don't yet have the game (wanted to play th LE before I make my decision) but I'm very interrested (could be a game changer)!

#12 4 years ago

Is there any potential for problems with the game not delivering balls to the lane it expects?

#13 4 years ago
Quoted from zacaj:

Is there any potential for problems with the game not delivering balls to the lane it expects?

I think the game count's a shot as made when the ball reaches the switch in the VUK, so it "should" be no problem.

But timballs would be the perfect person to answer that.

#14 4 years ago

The switch is in the vuk. Absolutely no change with the code itself.

#15 4 years ago
Quoted from November:

The switch is in the vuk. Absolutely no change with the code itself.

Code could "potentially" have a problem in cases the ramp would only be counted as sucessfully finished when the right inlane switch is triggered.

(Wich is never the case as far as I see it.)

#16 4 years ago

I'd be interested for sure in this mod if as everyone is asking, the game still plays as expected. Great looking work! Please let me know if and when this is available.

#17 4 years ago

I emailed you strait away about this.. interested. This is also an opportunity to add some extra lighting by attaching to the bottom of the blade.

#18 4 years ago

You sir are awesome!! Thank you for making this!

#19 4 years ago

Any chance on getting a decal for the diverter that looks like some leather with the studs in it? To match the game better

Yes it's in the mix.
I will show you everything when the prototype will be 100% finished

Are these still going to be made? I'd be interested in one

#22 4 years ago

Yup,

I actually modify the sword DXF to add support who will fit with the original pinball nuts. Not easy thing.

Hope i will finish the kit by the end of the month, i'll let you know guys, as planned

Any chance you could post some video of this mod in action?

#24 4 years ago

Any more progress towards the completion on this mod?

#25 4 years ago

Hi all,

The mod is actually in stand-by
It is difficult to adjust the ejector ramp, the ball have sometimes bad rebounds and fell off the ramp.
I work on it
And have to find a process to reproduce the exact same part if i want it working on every off your games

#26 4 years ago

Just seeing this mod now, and got to play the new BK some days ago. I was mostly disappointed with it (love the original BK), but this mod is exactly the sort of thing it should have been designed with in the first place. Looks higher end with it in place IMO, and would definitely help gameplay once you get it working consistently.

If I owned the game, this would be a must-have mod for me. Hope you sell a ton of them!

I get a bit advanced with the mod

Sword is now solid mounted !

Ejector diverter is fine but need some "tuning" to find the right shape to feed correctly the sword.
You have to know that if i sell this, you had to make some adjustements of the ejector diverter shape to fit perfectly your machine. Nothing impossible.
Note that the diverter is totally ugly as i made it by hand, if i produce it, it will be laser cuted.

You can see some action here. I think it improve a lot the flow, especialy in the missions. Add some balancing, as expected.

Want.

#29 4 years ago

Not just want. Need!

Incredible work mate. Love seeing your progress on it and I'd certainly be up for one if you go ahead and make them for sale.

#30 4 years ago

I have an LE ... I am half tempted to jam this into an LE ... the only way up to the upper play-field should be the one ramp .... awesome mod!!!!

#31 4 years ago

Looks great! Now I just need a BKSR to put it on.

#32 4 years ago

This is fantastic November - kudos for the work here and I’m sure there will be a line of folks (including myself) who would be interested in buying this were you of a mind to do a run of them to sell.

Please consider it!!

Quoted from arcademojo:

funny of course... but to me its just as it (for real) !
i earlier didnt want a BKSOR home mostly because of that 100% right ramp returns, but now i may want to have one..

(et bravo Romain, c'est super )

#34 4 years ago

AWESOME!

#35 4 years ago

I'm interested, can I be added to the list?

#36 4 years ago

Thanks for your interest.
I thinking adding a small metal part to the sword to guide the ball as it sometimes fell aside like 1 time on 10.

I think i will produce 10 kits and see how it goes in the flesh

#37 4 years ago

would be kinda neat if u added a diverter thats on the shadow. that way it could go down the left or right side.

#38 4 years ago

That looks really great - I can see where the ball landing on the flat sword could be prone to bounce off to either side. I would think a couple tabs folded upwards right where the ball lands might serve as guides to cut down on the frequency of that happening though.

Honestly looks like it's a great mod as-is though. If/when I pick up a BKSoR this would be on the top of my list to add.

Looks like the post has been silent for 3 months.. Any news? Is it a product yet? Any price? Please add me to the list of the interested ones.. At first glance, I wasn't a fan, but your game play video may have changed my mind. I am generally a fan of keeping stuff like this totally stock, but this would be interesting! Great job!

Just out of curiosity - Any reason it's sheet metal instead of a wireform like the others? I like the sword shape on the one hand, but it might fit in better as a wireform?

#44 3 years ago

Still hoping this becomes a real product. It would really finish it off now that I have my topper.

#45 3 years ago

Hi guys,

Thanks for your interest, and sorry for the wait.
My final diverter version is going to be made this week.

After that new swords and diverters will be cutted.

Im actually looking for hex spacers and screws in quantity to complete the kits.

I hope to be able to make first kits by the end of septembre. I will let you know soon.

Once again, thanks for your interest, i can tell you it totally worth it !

See you soon

Romain

Not so easy to find quantity of US screws and hex spacers here
