Hi folks,

I always thought it was missing something with this "motionless" coffin in our BSD machine, so i had the idea to create this. A loooooot of time and test to elaborate this, and i still looking for help on the arduino code to add some cool lighting when the coffins open.

This the reproduction of the "real" bat creature from the movie !

The two torches are lighting with the locked balls.

It's completely plug ang play, only need USB supply, and adapted on the original tomb basement. Just need 2 solders for the torches

Let me know what do you think about it

I will probably made a small bunch of it one day, keep contact

Well done! I've always wanted to make something like this. Couple of questions.

Does the ball push the bat up? And it floats for a bit the goes back down.

Can the bat be locked in the up position?

For lighting how many lights are you wanting to program? Also what type of arduino and is the arduino just controlling lights?

The arduino controlling a servo motor. There is a switch underneath who's detecting the ball.
The bat stay 4sec up, and then goes back inside.
I just want to ajust the code to control a flashing led inside when the switch is activated

I'm a bit surprised with the amount of interested people here

I will not create a list at the moment, as i still have a lot of work on other mods.

By the way i anticipate by printed more coffin, that is a pretty long processus

Everyone wants this. Make this happen please. November Even if the torch light effect is ready I would still be interested and personally I could update my own code files once a patch is available in the future for flash/flicker timing.

As for printing, don't try to do it in house on initial in-flux. Sub it out to a print farm and you'll be able to gets 10s or even hundreds printed in a few days.
