I think this is a great way to do the ramps. Ramps as complex as yours will be a challenge any way you try to accomplish them but I think this approach will keep it straight forward as it can be. I have decided to vacuum form but my ramps will be simple compared to this. Although, every time I play MET I change my mind and want that cool metal ramp sound...

I like how you're putting it all together and showing us every step of the way. Most people, myself included, would wait until a more cohesive overall look is complete but you are showing us how the sausage gets made and I for one love it.
Thank you,
Jim

I am starting to think about and design the insert location for my machine. Did you layout all the inserts without regard for art or did you consider/mock up the art before deciding on insert location?

The stocking works pretty well for "mystery" as well... BTW, love your shiny metal!

If you add white letters in the stocking maybe that would help. J, A, C, K vertical and kinda swished into the white space or something...

The spider feels kinda "spidermany" to me... Maybe you could add in some indication of the bead pattern in the background of the snowflake. I don't have PS available here at work to kinda demonstrate but if you did like concentric circles and soft lines out from the middle, all very muted like how you add a canvas background in PS... something subtle, soft. I don't know if that would be readable? Other than that I would rotate the snowflakes so they are random and not all exactly the same.

P.S. I think this looks excellent and in the grand scheme standing at the game I can't imagine this being an issue. Great work!

Quoted from PinMonk:

Those have opacity on. They can be darkened up as-needed. Like I said, this was really a quick and dirty proof of concept. The real deal would take some experimentation, but I think the snowflake's the way to go.

Yeah that exactly what I was thinking... Nice work. I also like the idea of it looking good when the light is off, asuming the light is not always on during game play.

That looks great, especially considering there is no white. looks like the scale/fit is really good. Man that has to be exciting!

Ramps are looking great! this loos like a table that will be very fun to shoot. Out of curiosity... how tall off the playfield does that right ramp go, in the pictures it looks like 8 to 10 inches... but maybe its more like 5? So much going on it looks very cool.

Can you tell me what those LEDs are you're using? Did they come with connectors or did you add them?
Thanks,
-Jim

Quoted from MarkInc:

I'm using the FAST LEDs for the inserts.
I soldered on the 6 pin connectors (2X3) - some straight, several 90 degree for tight spaces.
They are joined with these:

The GI, I'm using RGB xmas lights, like these.

Flipping today!
Few things to tweak, but very happy with it.
Will post a video when I get the new diverter integrated.

Congratulations! That must feel so good! I am excited to see the video.
