Cool, you gonna be writing the code too.

Quoted from MarkInc:Project continues...
Maybe a pico projector could fit in this dome...image.jpeg
Cleaning up my ramp lines a bit before going to plastic.
2 new inserts added to playfield.

Those projectors are soooo cool, I hope you can get something to work
Quoted from MarkInc:A bit tricky to change them now, I think, but they can be made harder by removing the rubber rings. Maybe I could do the 3 close post holes to adjust the vertical position, but not sure how it will be easier/harder?
The 3 close post holes with the metal backing plate would be nice I would think. But you know your game better then anyone.
Quoted from MarkInc:Ha! I didn't even mention the angle change!
I'm going to magically fill the inside of my ramps to make them into molds. Hopefully freeplay40 can then use them to form some plastic ramps.
If anyone can make the ramps it's Mark.....and in colors too. When he makes them get a blank (before their cut out) of each ramp, have him sign and date them and hang them on your wall. This is what they look like.
Quoted from JoelOmatik:That's really awesome! I'd like to see an instructional video/page on how you made those.
This ones for my Space Station and I just asked Mark (freeplay40) to sell me an uncut one along with a finished ramp. He was more then happy to do it. Mark (freeplay40) has made about 5 ramps now for different games. He's gooood.
Quoted from MarkInc:This version has audio:
» YouTube video
- a whole bunch of place holders in there - will replace with proper video clips and other images.
- sfx / music need to be balanced and non-overlapping - I'm working on it.
Looks really good but I just couldn't read the dark blue letters on the black background.
Quoted from MarkInc:Aaron needs to capture Mark's process on video and share it out. We need more people doing this.
What and take business away from Mark....I think not.
Quoted from Freeplay40:I've got a really cool turquoise blue that I will use on Strange Science and likely on a Pinbot repro.
That's the color the original probably started out as.
Quoted from MarkInc:I can easily get rid of that extra .25" width by reducing the shooterlane width and moving the kickback over 1/8th.
On the plus side of doing that you'll have no problem putting mirror blades on the game.
Quoted from MarkInc:They got put on hold due to my redesign. Now thinking of other options.
Have you asked Pinsider Freeplay40 his opinion? He makes great ramps.
Quoted from MarkInc:Shiny metal sides. Testing out some aluminum templates. Seem to work fine. Will do in thicker stainless.
Cool, maybe you could have holes cut into them to let pf lighting into the ramps, give them a more airy look. Just a suggestion.
Quoted from MarkInc:more things in their correct places - outlines, fills, highlights, shadows all in progress
I'm quite pleased with how the bathtub is stepping on the KIDNAP light.
Are the colors in the movie that muted? I've never seen it.
Quoted from MarkInc:You should maybe see it. It's a wonderful movie.
Yes, you could say it's mostly gray in Halloween Town.
That's partly why Jack gets so excited about Christmas Town and it's explosion of color.
I'll try to brighten things up here and there.
I've wanted to see it but just haven't gotten around to it. Make it faithful to the movie, it's so unique. Maybe use that new company Stadium Lighting product to light the pf.
Quoted from MarkInc:It rubs the lotion on it's skin...
Never hear that one before.
Quoted from hisokajp:man, you should make posters out of this!
I wonder what a finished pf would go for. I'd light it up and hang it on the wall.
Quoted from MarkInc:Since I'm in the doghouse, I decided to make it bigger.
Yeah, that cross over the insert will look nice lit up.
Quoted from MarkInc:Oh shiny!
We can't tell, ya gotta put to light over it to reflect.
Quoted from MarkInc:Chandelier reflection.
Now your talkin. How long can you wait till you repopulate? That's gotta cure.
Quoted from MarkInc:Drop shadows and moons painted.
A little touch up here and there.
Looks like your able to hide the bolt heads in the black areas, nice. I hate when those things mess up nice cab side art.
Quoted from MarkInc:Ha! Yes. It was a challenge with the title/bolts flipped on the other side. Thanks, I'm glad someone noticed.
As soon as I saw your pictures it was THE first thing I noticed. You had that in mind when you laid out the art.
Quoted from BrianNH:Shoot MarkInc, is there anything you can't do? Looking fantastic!
Yup he's a true artist.
Quoted from Aflacjack:I just spent over an hour reading this thread....simply amazing what you are doing. Kudos!
GREAT avatar.
Quoted from MarkInc:May be hard to tell, but, progress.
What a mess.....and you don't even have the insert light wiring on yet.
Quoted from Shenanigander:Perfect theme for Spooky Pinball to pick up but the build cost would be way more and they would have to break their $6k price mould and bring it up to maybe $8 or $10k but if thye did a limited run of 300 like RZ then they would fly off the shelf. I want 002 Actually I'd trade my RZ for NBX 002
BUT! Can they get the license for it and how much (if they could get it) cost? That's the big question. And what if the license holder doesn't like it and demands changes be made? All kinds of business hoops to jump through if it's to be mass produced.
Quoted from MarkInc:I'm done!
For tonight.
That is one FULL pf. Looks like a Super LE to me.
Quoted from MarkInc:Inside of cab back to order.
Isn't it gonna get hot in there? What kind of air flow do you have?
Oh man is that nice, I'd LOVE to play this. Are you gonna put cut outs with light up art in the apron? I wonder how Pin Stadium would look on this? Take another picture like this one but take the glass off.
Quoted from MarkInc:A Christmas gift!
You know what would look great instead of those screw heads on that plastic or others...
Quoted from MarkInc:Those look nice. How are they lit?
What do you have supporting those plastics? If it were a clear plastic tube you may not have to light them up like I did because of all the surrounding light would light the screw shaft and the head.
Yeah you'll need zerk fittings. I had a bunch of these #6 and 8s made up special so you can't get these at a hardware store.
Quoted from MarkInc:Packing it up for Allentown pinfest.
See ya there!
This looks like a First Place trophy pin to me.
Quoted from Valyrian_Stahl:I certainly hope you have been approached about manufacturing.
That machine and theme would be a must purchase item for me if/when it hits the market.
The problem with that is the the license holder of the theme may not like what he has done or maybe even want a game made using their art and theme. The license holder really holds all the cards.
